Silly question, but those of you who are getting fertility advice, but not opting for IVF, where are you going?!? I have exhausted all options trying to get my useless GP to give me a referral, and now looking at paying to have some investigations. But I’m already certain I don’t want to put myself through IVF. Where do I start to get some advice? (I actually have a suspicion that the issue is a c-section niche which is trapping fluid in my womb and making implantation difficult, but need confirmation).

ChaE05 · 26/01/2026 13:14

Hey ! Hope everyone is okay 🥰 great about progesterone @Taysonicwell worth a try!
Im just in my tww after my first round of superovulation! Im taking progesterone too. Will have to take a pregnancy test at 11dpo which im actually worrying about as I haven't for months now. Find them so triggering and prefer to wait for my period to arrive. But has to be done as if negative will need to stop the progesterone x lots of love to everyone x how's our pregnant ladies x

Allmywishcometrue · 26/01/2026 09:55

@Taysonic that is good that there is an option to try! I am crossing my fingers and everything I have for you.

Could you discuss with them maybe taking the progesterone from 3 ish days after the ovulation to help with implantation? Or do they not think itbis necessary?

LuckyDuck93 · 26/01/2026 09:43

Morning ladies,
Just wanted to check in and see how you're all doing 😊
Great news about the progesterone @Taysonic x

AF arrived today, but was totally expected as DH was away the entire fertile window. Using this month as a 'control', I didn't have any spotting prior to today so hopefully spotting for me is a good first sign 🤞🏼 when I was on the contraceptive pill I never spotted either. DH due back home tomorrow but then he flies out again later in the week. Hoping it's a short stint this time so we can catch my window.

I also bought the book "If starts with the egg" so started to read that. Already bought new glass dishes (I've ALWAYS used tupperware) and looking to reduce "parfum/fragrance" products. Even if it doesn't help, I didn't realise there were so many nasty plastic bits in there so got to be better for us!

Sounds very sensible and reassuring to get an idea of what your 'normal' is and know what your baseline is - so difficult when there are so many variables to our bodies and our hormones! Will keep my fingers crossed that the timings work out for you this cycle.

@Esssa man, that does sound like a faff with the ad blocker, and like you said, adds a bit of unnecessary complication to things when you're looking for support. Sometimes it can just put you off a bit can't it? Hoping you're doing okay though. Sounds positive with the consultation - and I'm glad they were able to review your blood tests and begin a new protocol. Throwing lots of baby dust your way and hoping that positive line appears soon.

As for me, just waiting for my period to come really. I'm assuming it could be later this week but difficult to know for sure. It's definitely a waiting game. Had the most WONDERFUL weekend - great mix of relaxing, ticking of the odd job and went on such a lovely walk in Wales yesterday. 12 miles of glorious and magical views. Must make sure I do more walking - it really does make me feel myself!

Esssa · 25/01/2026 14:06

Sorry I'm only dotting in here and there. My husband has put an ad blocker on out network and it's making Mumsnet hard work cos I've to remember to switch my WiFi on and off and I just don't have the headspace.

I had an appointment this week at St James recurrent miscarriage clinic. My local clinic had got to the end of their options being nurse led. So I've seen a consultant for the first time. She's looked at the bloods we did back in August and said that even though my results came back negative for lupus/APS she wants to treat me as positive as my next pregnancy. So aspirin, progesterone and heparin. She said the pattern of my losses with 3 being after 8 weeks it's worth a shot. Now to actually get pregnant. This is cycle 2 since my last miscarriage and it's ovulation today ish. Haven't caught a proper peak but could have missed it yesterday.

Oh I'm so sorry @Iris2024 -its never easy, is it? Hope you can be as kind to yourself as possible and be gentle with yourself.

Keeping fingers crossed for you @lepoissonM - the TWW always goes too bloody slow.

Im in weird no mans land at the moment. Decided not to track ovulation after last MC so have no idea what's happening or when to expect my period. I'm going to take a guess it could be in the next week or so... But I have no idea really.

Fertility team have said they'd be happy to prescribe me progesterone as soon as I'm next pregnant again so I feel hopeful that there's something different to try rather than nothing changing and expecting a different outcome.

Just feels a bit lonely sometimes.

AF has arrived. Fed up now 🫩

Sending luck to all those still to test.

I’m so sorry, hoping next month is your month xx

I’m 7DPO now and no signs yet, not expecting anything. Not sure how long I’ll hold off to test x

lepoissonM · 24/01/2026 13:23

Sorry @Iris2024 hope you’re ok. I have nothing to report. 4DPO so the TWW is passing very slowly!

Morning! How is everyone doing?

I'm approx 5DPO (6 days post trigger shot), and already feeling very emotional, like I just don't expect it to work. Had a couple of pregnancy announcements recently from those who only took a month or so to conceive, which of course I'm happy for them, but a little bit like 'why is it so hard for me but so easy for everyone else?' 😔

In a rather ridiculous turn of events I’ve manage to pull my back just as I come into my fertile days. What a twit. I’ve told my partner he has to artificially inseminate me Grin

Oh noooo, there's always something isn't there? Hope your back is better in time for some dtd-ing!

ttcnumerodos · 21/01/2026 11:16

Loving seeing all the positives! Hope everyone is getting on ok. My LH has just shot up to .81 at cd 14 which is great for me - I usually ovulate on day 17 with a 8-10 day luteal phase so I'm buzzing. Hopefully the vitamin B6 is doing the trick 🤞🏻

Hello from the TWW (probably O day last night/today). Anyone else at a similar stage?

Yep, me - I’m day 3 post ovulation! It’s already going so slow 😂

Good luck to everybody still to test this cycle. Including me, let’s hope the luck continues…

@lepoissonM Yeay! Enjoy your weekend 😄

My appointment went well, the Dr agreed that I need medicated IUI. I have started medication to induce my period. Then I will start some medication to induce ovulation, then a trigger to release one (or I hope 2) follicles, then IUI, then progesterone. At least, I have a better chance this time.

I had to laugh because tge Dr told me last cycle my lining and follicle were beautiful and I was so happy. Ttc makes me weird, I am afraid 😄😄

Fullofconfusion · 17/01/2026 11:23

Good stuff @lepoissonMthat sounds promising.

Thank goodness it’s the weekend. How is everyone doing?

lepoissonM · 17/01/2026 08:17

Flashing smiley this morning at CD14. Relieved to see something is happening…!

LuckyDuck93 · 16/01/2026 21:50

Thank you ladies, very grateful for you all making this journey a little less lonely ❤

ChaE05 · 16/01/2026 20:48

LuckyDuck93 · 16/01/2026 14:03

Thanks everyone, its just coming up to 2 years @ChaE05 and I've never seen a single positive test, so im very much struggling to believe!

Oh hun, I feel so emotional for you, this is just the best. You deserve this so much 🥰

Fullofconfusion · 16/01/2026 19:40

@lepoissonMI've only ever used the Premom strips so not sure about the clearblue but I would assume it’s all the same and you might find it stays low until you get a peak day.

@LuckyDuck93I’m so happy for you. Especially with how long it’s taken. TTC is a rough journey!

lepoissonM · 16/01/2026 19:20

Thanks @LuckyDuck93 @Fullofconfusion that is helpful. I’m very new to this so will take any advice! Im
using the Clearblue stick so I only have to test first thing in the morning. I don’t know if that will make a difference.
