@Blondepeach I was told that too about progesterone, it can cause irritation.

Allmywishcometrue · 16/02/2026 09:41

@Esssa The progesterone was quite bad the first time I took it, I had so many side effects. This time, I barely had any. Your body gets used to it.

I am on day 11 of my 2WW, I can test Wednesday. I have felt so dissociate this time, it's weird. Like I don't even want to hope and I am just going through the motions.

Blondepeach · 16/02/2026 09:07

@Esssait took me a few days to get used to the progesterone as they made me feel quite bloated. It seemed to settle (been taking them just under 3 weeks now) and then yesterday I got SO constipated - sorry TMI! I then had some brown dishcharge when I went for a wee in the night which has sent me into a bit of a spiral. But have read that progesterone can cause a bit of irritation, so who knows. Hopefully you can get a blood test and maybe an early scan? x

Esssa · 15/02/2026 16:43

Thanks. I'm getting closer to saying enough is enough if this doesn't work out. But part of me still can't let go of having another child. Am I right in thinking that the pessaries can cause an uncomfortable feeling or not? Last pregnancy didn't work out and actually stopped progressing only 2 days after I started them so I don't know what was medicine caused and what was impending loss.

There is still on and off bleeding/coloured discharge so I'm not entirely sure what is going on. Started progesterone pessaries last night as I have some left from my previous pregnancy as advised by RMC at st James's. Which I think is helping reduce the bleeding but still very unsure of what is going on in there. Feeling uncomfortable in my lower belly which could be precursor to a loss or possibly from the progesterone. Who knows. Love just throwing yourself at all the possibilities body first and then having to ride it out either way.

That sounds like one hell of an emotional roller-coaster. Glad you've already got some progesterone to start off the process and hope the next week provides some good news and reassurance. Either way, we're here.

I've had this too @Esssa- definitely a head fuck! Tentative congratulations and hope you get reassurance from blood tests!

I've never requested bloods before, is it something they do quite freely? I stupidly did a test after a 1 hour hold last week, not even fmu (whhyyyyy 🤦🏻‍♀️) and the line was really light. Hadn't been testing every day so never had a dye stealer and now I'm just thinking chemical. Although I have just thrown up. Roll on Wednesday for this scan, I'm spiralling 🥴 xx

Blondepeach · 15/02/2026 16:10

Wow! tentative congratulations@Esssa💕

Esssa · 14/02/2026 20:13

Definitely panicking and absolutely don't trust it will have a good outcome at this point but I do have everything crossed. Will ring first thing Monday and hopefully they will be able to blood test for some clarity.

Fingers crossed for you @Taysonic Sounds like a good effort.

Sorry I'm back after being AWOL thanks to the ad blocker on my WiFi at home. But I don't know what to think. Tested at 11 and 12 dpo. Negative. Looked the day after and thought that's a squinter so tested again 13dpo. Faint positive. Tested again 14 dpo negative. Thought it's another chemical. Afternoon of 14 dpo AF arrived.

Today CD6 did and LH test. Blazing positive. Which I thought can't be right. Did another with my next wee. Blazing positive. So did a pregnancy test. Positive. Even broke out a frer. Darker test line than control. I've just bled for 5 days. Not sure how it compared to a normal period as I used period pants for the first time. Sorry for the language but what the fuck. Was supposed to let the hospital know asap to start aspirin, progesterone and heparin. Fuck.

Don't panic @Esssa - and congratulations! Hopefully if you want a bit of reassurance, you can offered some. Hcg repeat testing just to make sure things are progressing as expected?

I've been exactly where you are - thought I'd had my period, only to test positive after blazing opks. It's a massive head-fk but a welcome surprise!

1dpo for me today I think... We've DTD pretty much every other day for the last week, with a couple of consecutive days in there so we've given it a good go. Now to wait...

Good luck for all your scans @Blondepeach @ttcnumerodos and @lepoissonM ❤️ how exciting!

Im 7DPO today and please tell me why I’m sat in the car on the school run looking at baby names 😂 I’ve officially lost it!!

I have had my list of names ready for years 😄. What are your favourites?

I do look at and sometimes buy baby clothes when I go in Charity shops so I beat you in the lost it competition 😃

@lepoissonM omg the boobs!! I only have little ones so dread to think the pain if they were any bigger haha. I miss wine too, but all for a good cause 🤞🏼

lepoissonM · 12/02/2026 20:02

Hi @Blondepeach I’m doing ok thanks. 5w5d today. I have to phone the midwife next week and get an early scan booked in when I’m 7 weeks so I will hopefully relax a bit more then. Otherwise I’m mildly nauseous now and then and massive sore boobs. I miss wine!

ttcnumerodos · 12/02/2026 15:56

Thank you honey @Blondepeach. Yeah hopefully. Everything crossed for you too xx

Blondepeach · 12/02/2026 15:46

Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well, perhaps it could be the pregnancy making you sick etc @ttcnumerodos? Hopefully that is the case and your scan goes well 💐

ttcnumerodos · 12/02/2026 15:32

Glad to hear you're doing ok @Blondepeach. I'm also booked in for an early scan next week but not feeling very hopeful. I just had a really upset stomach and was sick (sorry tmi) which for me is usually a sign that af is on the way due to prostaglandins kicking in. Having a lie down and praying it's good hormones x

Blondepeach · 12/02/2026 15:18

Hi ladies,

I hope everyone on the thread is holding up ok, anybody nearing the end of the TWW?💕

@lepoissonM @ttcnumerodos how are you both getting on? I am 5 weeks today and have an early scan book for Thursday next week, I am going to be a nervous wreck. I have not had any bleeding so far and my tests got very dark, however I have had a bit of an on and off ache on the side my ectopic was last year. I have read it can be normal due to scar tissue/general hormonal changes but still pretty anxious for obvious reasons

xx

ChaE05 · 10/02/2026 19:18

@Fullofconfusionim so pleased you were finally listened to and actually looked after. This is all we want when going through something as traumatic as this. You deserve to be cared for 🫶 xxxx

daisy2025 · 10/02/2026 19:09

@Fullofconfusion So sorry to hear this 😔 I hope you’re looking after yourself as best as you can xx

Iris2024 · 10/02/2026 15:07

@Fullofconfusion sounds like you’ve had an incredibly traumatic and worrying time, there’s nothing worse than being in pain and not being reassured to what’s actually going on. I’m glad you were finally able to speak with somebody who showed you the care that you deserve, this really is your safe space to share too 🌸💕

LuckyDuck93 · 10/02/2026 08:50

@Fullofconfusion i'm so so sorry to hear your news ❤
Very glad that you seem to have had an empathetic and knowledgeable sonographer though, I think sometimes feeling like someone in a healthcare setting is in your corner means the world, because it can feel like you're having to fight for everything.

Sending you lots of loveFlowers

Fullofconfusion · 10/02/2026 05:53

Thank you ladies. I really truly appreciate all of your support.

@Taysonicthe private scan clinic did ring EPAU and told me that they’d call me back to book me in for a scan/bloods as a second opinion as they wouldn’t usually accept the clinic’s scan. They did ring but just booked me for a scan in 2 weeks without seeing me or taking any bloods which I didn’t think was right.
The pain wasn’t easing so I called EPAU last night and they agreed that I needed bloods to rule out an ectopic pregnancy so I’ve now been seen. This is what I felt I needed. The reassurance that I’ve been seen by the hospital. I knew I was miscarrying but as the scan had officially labelled it as “pregnancy of unknown location” that worried me and then along with the pain I was feeling pretty panicked. I got the impression that the nursing team I saw at EPAU were surprised that I’d not been scanned already by them or atleast had bloods taken. Anyway 1 extra scan (no cause found for the pain, everything looked ok but no pregnancy found which I already knew) and 1st lot of bloods taken to check HGC coming down.

The sonographer was lovely. Have a lot of incredibly helpful advice that no one has told us before. Advised that we can self refer for a scan at 7 weeks if we fall pregnant again as that’s their guideline for multiple losses. She was unhappy that I’d been turned away last week when I was bleeding and distressed and said she would follow that up to clarify the guidelines with whoever I spoke to. She also said I would be entitled to progesterone in another pregnancy and that although I shouldn’t have to advocate strongly for myself to get these things but that if anyone I spoke to said it was wrong I should ask them to check and tell them that she’d told me what the guidelines are. I honestly feel so much better from that one interaction. I’m still feeling rough and obviously devastated to be in this position again but being seen by the hospital has helped me to feel heard and given me the reassurance that this isn’t ectopic
