4DPO, really tried to go it alone but think it may be nice to have some ladies to chat with and share experiences whilst we wait x

@Biscuitbaby2218 basically I missed two pills in error had a break through bleed due to x2 missed. Continuing to take anaginafter this for 6 days. This sparked the conversation between partner and I who agreed its actually time to stop as we would like another baby so age gap isn't too big so after that I stopped. But haven't had a bleed since which i thought I would. God knows!
Thanks for letting me know. Did you ovulate during them 6 weeks? Or do you not know?
Hope your doing ok 🙂

SquigletChocolatePotato · 08/11/2025 21:33

@Biscuitbaby2218Thank you ☺️ Oh maybe it was implantation! Was it at the right sort of time from O?

I’m lucky that I have a friend who allows me to dump my crazy on her 🤣 So I message her every evening telling her why I think I might be pregnant (dizzy, tired, cramps, whatever it is that day 😅) and then I tell her why my rational brain thinks that I’m clearly not (because I’ve got a cold, didn’t sleep much etc so that explains the ‘symptoms’). It’s like this horrendous back and forth in my head that I can’t stop 🫣

I always tell myself it’s such a waste of time and energy caring so much for those few days, I mean, if you are pregnant you’ll find out pretty soon when you miss your period 🤷‍♀️ But, we still all do it 😅

Fingers crossed for everyone in this group 🤞🏻

Oh, and I meant I wasn’t sure how to calculate O day. So if I got a static smiley on Thursday, would O day be Thursday or Friday? And then if Friday, would Saturday be 1dpo? If that’s right that would put me at 8dpo today. Hope that makes sense, it sounds so long winded when you try and write it out 😅

Biscuitbaby2218 · 08/11/2025 21:22

welcome @SquigletChocolatePotato !! I hope you find this bunch of ladies brings you some comfort I know they have for me ! I’m 8dpo today too , I don’t usually count O day personally. Sorry to hear about you MMC ☹️

i try not to symptom spot and try to ignore most things unless it’s something I really can’t ignore or explain away 😂 for the sake of my own sanity I have to try and ignore and minimise things or I get wayyyy ahead of myself 😅

with that being said I was having a meal out with family after a day at the spa and mid eating had the sharpest pain in my uterus!! Only lasted about 2 seconds but was enough to make me gasp 😂 ever since then I’m wondering if that was implantation 🤷🏼‍♀️ I never had any implantation cramping or anything with my previous pregnancies so I’m not sure what it’s supposed to feel like. If it wasn’t implantation I have no clue what it was 😂 can’t quite explain that one.

SquigletChocolatePotato · 08/11/2025 19:52

Hi Ladies, can I join? I’m TTC our second. It took us 2 years to conceive our first over 4 years ago, but then we had sex for the first time in months in March this year and I conceived! Sadly, that ended in a MMC and I had the surgery end of April.

We’ve just started trying again properly this cycle and I’m 8 or 9 DPO. If you’re testing for ovulation do you count O day as the day you get a positive test, or the day after?

I’ve been getting some symptoms but I’m a massive symptom spotter and my rational brain is telling me I’m being very silly and making something out of nothing!

Also, I can’t wait to test 🤣 I love the Easy @ Home tests because they’re 50p each, which means I can test twice a day every day from like 7DPO 🙄😓

Would love to have some other women to share the crazy with. It’s so hard when you’re just spiraling in your own head thinking about every little thing 😔

Biscuitbaby2218 · 08/11/2025 19:23

@Orangeroses243 i didn’t get my cycle back until 6 weeks to the day I stopped taking the pill ! AF came exactly 6 weeks after, have you had a proper AF since ? Or just break through bleeds

Orangeroses243 · 08/11/2025 16:58

Hey hope all are busy this weekend to take your minds off things!

@Biscuitbaby2218 lots of info all on this as I saw on the post that @Chikas wrote but yeah definitely agree and avoid over heating when using spa things when you do!

@HallidayJones6779 hope the box room has been keeping you busy!

As for me ..no AF... funnily enough noticed ewcm slightly yesterday? But its been x4 weeks since off the pill...appreciate estimated O day 26th October hadots of ewcm then so now I am confused..... cycles usually 28days.
Maybe I am one if those that my cycle is messed up because of the pill and I won't get them back for months... 😩😩😩 maybe - overthinking with this a tad 😅😅
Or maybe I am early pregnant and tests didnt pick up yet??? Maybe - over hopefull with this ahah!
Who knows what's going on!!! 🫠🫠🫠

Biscuitbaby2218 · 08/11/2025 11:47

@Chikas thank you that was so helpful !! I’m definitely going to have to tactically avoid the hot tubs and saunas !!

Chikas · 08/11/2025 11:20

HallidayJones6779 · 08/11/2025 08:08

@Chikas ah enjoy the trip to visit family! Seems like a lovely autumnal day for it - at least where I am! I haven't really got anything planned so going to just try to keep busy by cleaning the box room which is long overdue!

out of interest ladies - what is your plan when trying to get pregnant? Do you aim to hit every day in the run up to ovulation and the day of ovulation too?

Thankyou hun 🙃

You’ll feel great once the box room is sorted and it will def take your mind off things. Stick some music on for motivation 😬

Yes - try to hit couple days to run up, day of and day after. Sometimes we don’t make it though - can only do what we can before it becomes a chore. How about yourself?

At the end of the day it only takes one - so fingers crossed x

Morning ladies! @thismonthsfad sorry to hear about your negative lovely ☹️

I’m in a bit of a funny position today, I’m off to a spa for a baby shower and I’m wondering about hot tubs and saunas 😬 I can’t get out of going so I think I should probably just try and wriggle my way out of those two activities? I don’t like saunas anyway they make me panic so that’s easy to dodge but the hot tub is going to be slightly tricky to get out of 😂 I’m only 8dpo today and I don’t think a hot tub would be wise 🫣 or do you guys think it will be okay for short periods ? I know people who aren’t tracking or ttc probably do these things and still get pregnant and everything turns out fine but as I am ttc and well aware of where I’m at in regards to the implantation window my anxiety is through the roof about it 😩

any suggestions of excuses to avoid the hot tub? Or do you think I could get away with a short dip to avoid suspicion?

in terms of symptoms today, no sore boobs which I usually have round this time leading up to AF and I have backache which is also common for me. Woke up with indigestion which I’m sure is just progesterone related 🤷🏼‍♀️ my CM had dried right up as it does before AF too, feeling a bit negative today about my chances of bfp this month! Can’t put my finger on why though cause I’m only 8dpo I’m sure there’s still time !

sorry for the long post, hope you’re all doing well !!

Hiya hun - tbh I was going to come and be like you only live once and Spa is not an everyday experience, so go for it. But I thought let me ask chatgpt just in case and a good thing I did, response below:

That is a very common and important question when trying to conceive (TTC), especially during the anxious Two Week Wait (TWW).
The general medical advice for the TWW is to AVOID saunas, hot tubs, and very hot baths.
Here is a breakdown of why, and what might be safer:
🔥 Risks Associated with High Heat (Saunas/Hot Tubs)
The primary concern is raising your core body temperature (maternal hyperthermia).

Implantation Interference: Excessive heat during the period when the embryo is trying to implant (around 5 to 10 DPO) is generally advised against, as it could potentially interfere with this delicate process.

Early Development Concerns: If you are pregnant and don't yet know it (which is the case during most of the TWW), high temperatures in the first few weeks are associated with an increased, though still rare, risk of certain birth defects, particularly neural tube defects (like spina bifida), as this is when the baby's neural tube is forming.

✅ Safer Alternatives for Relaxation
Since stress management is key during the TWW, look for ways to relax that keep your core temperature regulated:
Warm Baths: A warm (not hot) bath is often considered safer than a sauna or hot tub because you have more control over the temperature and can get out immediately if you feel too warm. Aim to keep the water warm, not scalding.

Massage: A gentle massage is excellent for relaxation and stress relief. Just be sure to tell the therapist you are in the TWW or trying to conceive so they avoid any deep abdominal pressure or certain pressure points.

Gentle Exercise: Light walking, gentle yoga, or stretching is usually fine and great for stress. Avoid anything that causes you to overheat significantly.

Meditation/Reading: Simple, quiet activities can be very effective stress relievers.
🔑 Key Takeaway
Because you do not know if implantation has been successful during the TWW, most fertility specialists recommend treating the two weeks as if you are already pregnant to be safe. This means skipping the high heat of saunas and hot tubs entirely until you have a confirmed BFP (and often until the end of the first trimester).

I don’t want to panic you - here are a few excuses you could use:

  • Im not feeling good and heat will make me feel worse
  • Ive I’ve got thrush
  • I don’t feel like it today, I’m going to hang out in the pool though
  • Go in for two mins and then say, it’s making me feel faint, I got to get out and sit on side and have a bevvy- this way you tried and you’re still hanging with girls but not necessarily inside the heat

hope this helps x

Hiya ladies

@thismonthsfad glad to hear you’re good and fingers and toes crossed for Sunday for you.

Im 8DPO today, right behind you, I’m too scared to test any sooner than a missed AF though eeeekkk 😬

I haven’t had any symptoms today though, but then I’ve been rather occupied, so haven’t had a chance to focus on my body, but having said that, I don’t have any obvious symptoms.

Any weekend plans ladies? Anything to take our minds of the TWW? We are going to Halifax to visit family, hopefully that should do the trick 🙃

Hiya

@Moosey898 Im sorry, hope you’re okay, wishing you a better next cycle.

@Orangeroses243 I’m sorry also. At least weekend is here, have a little treat 😊

Would either of you be doing another test in a couple of days or you’re going to wait til missed AF?

As for me, nothing out of the ordinary today, yesterday was pretty bad anxiety wise - I was just off, but today my mood is back to normal.

@breadqueen @HallidayJones6779 @thismonthsfad How are you guys doing today?

Hey @Chikas

How are you doing today? I am all good, I am 9DPO today - my temps are still high which is a good sign, AF is due in 6 days. I will probably test on Sunday (11DPO). I haven't had any symptoms apart from sore boobs which is normal in the lead up to AF...

How's things your side?

Chikas · 07/11/2025 14:36

@Orangeroses243 I think you may still be in with a chance esp as you haven’t really gotten symptoms in the past. I’ll be waiting with you for missed AF to check too, so fingers crossed for us x

@HallidayJones6779 funnily enough I was looking at my data from last pregnancies (ended in mc unfortunately) and the one out of the two of them I experienced a day of anxiety, but that was a week after positive test. If you use any of the apps, you can use those to log your symptoms x

Sorry to you who are out of the game this month! Sending best wishes to you all.

I'm now 7dpo (maybe 8). I've still got nausea and a heaviness in my lower abdomen but the backache has eased even more today and my anxiety has lessened today too.

I'm trying not to read too much into the sensations because I've had some pretty severe pms symptoms the last few months so I know I've felt these same things then too, only we weren't trying and I didn't take much notice.

I wish I had at least written down when and how long these things lasted as I'd have a bit more of an idea about whether my body is trolling me or not now! Anyway, deep breaths and keeping busy.

Orangeroses243 · 07/11/2025 12:14

@Chikas im definitely not testing anymore. Will wait for AF.
When I was pregnant with my little.girl I had no symptoms nothing out of the ordinary. I would of never have known until 9 weeks symptom wise.
So just maybe this is you right now!
I will be staying on the this thread so keep us all posted! Sending you all the luck 💖

@Moosey898 sorry to hear about your negative :(

Moosey898 · 07/11/2025 09:46

10dpo for me and BFN. I've always had a positive at this stage so going to assume I'm out. Disappointed but not surprised, only our first month trying again this time round.

Chikas · 07/11/2025 09:24

Hi ladies,

Hope you’re doing well @Biscuitbaby2218 @Orangeroses243 nice to hear you’re experiencing new symptoms. It’s a bit sad isn’t it that TTC takes away the joy and excitement of TTC if you know what I mean. Like i totally relate to both of you re not wanting to get hopes up but the other part of me is like the hope of a bubba is so much to be excited about. Sigh…don’t get me wrong, I’m same, don’t want to get my hopes up too.

Im 7DPO today and im feeling more hormonal than physical symptoms. Im feeling jittery and anxious almost which is unlike me. There’s nothing to be stressed over but yet i feel I dont know, weird. 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely!! I really want to just allow myself to be excited at the thought of a possible baby growing but also I don’t feel like I can allow myself to cause that will make it much harder if it doesn’t pan out.

i really am hopeful for us all this cycle ! Cautiously optimistic 😅

I’ve heard increased anxiety can definitely be a thing so if it’s out of the norm for you it perhaps could be a good sign! I’m crossing all my fingers and toes for us all 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Orangeroses243 · 06/11/2025 16:12

@Biscuitbaby2218 thats interesting 🤔 ive never experienced it but something going in with uterus there! 🤞🤞

@Chikas I know! I mean I still feel excited and after my pain early am yesterday I want to test but because of not wanting to see a negative I am holding out 😅😅
Funilly enough at around 5 to 6 dpo I felt very anxious! I also have felt more emotional than usual too! Its eased off a bit now to be fair but something I felt a few days ago!
