I can’t believe it, I’ve been doing LH tests after my chemical and long cycle last month and I’ve had no surge and I’ve just wiped and blood on CD19. What the actual F!!! I just want my normal cycle back and ovulation 😩😩πŸ₯²πŸ₯²πŸ₯²

Thank you πŸ₯° It was super quick. I could feel the dye going in and it was crampy, but it eased quickly. Everything looked ok so the fertility nurse is going to call me next week to discuss my bloods and next steps.

How are you doing today? x

Oh wow I’m so pleased it wasn’t too bad for you, aside from some cramping ☺️ I have a feeling I’ll be having one when I get referred to the recurrent loss clinic due to my ectopic that was at the start of the year.

Im all good today, AF showed up so onto the next!! ✨

So sorry @ttcnumerodos ❀️ sending loads of love today.

Also, good luck with the Hycosy today. I’ve read lots of threads on here where people say it wasn’t a bad experience at all. I find it’s always the β€˜thought of’ these things that can be so anxiety inducing x

Hi all, I've just jumped on as trying not to get my hopes up too much. I've been ttc for 20 months but cycle went a bit absent in Jan. After various tests ive been diagnosed with PCOS, ?if I've not been ovulating regularly at all despite regular periods although slightly long cycle. My partner went for tests last tuesday so awaiting results of those.

Was expecting period to arrive yday but have been having some mild cramps and light brown discharge when wiping (sorry for tmi) since sunday - not enough to need a pad. Today is day 34 of cycle and for last 6 months cycles have been consistently 31-32 days.

I'm so worried about taking a test but I know its the only way. Might see if I can hold off to the weekend.

Wishing positivity for everyone x

Sorry to hear you might be out @Blondepeach, sending hugs.

Yesterday was the predicted due date for my loss in March. I can't actually believe how quickly that has come round and how different life might have looked. A family member announced their pregnancy yesterday too so a bit of a shit day. 😞

Hycosy day for me today, just rattling out a few hours work before I head up. Wish me luck pls gals, I'm nervous x

Sorry to hear its not looking good for this cycle. Sending lots of love and hope that you're not left waiting long to be out of limbo and if it's going to come that AF arrives soon.

I haven't been referred to the recurrent losses clinic just yet, but in my area, our NHS trust does blood test investigations after a second loss. And I've had that. They did some blood tests for a variety of things (thyroid function, thyroid anti-bodies, pre-diabetic screening, prolactin, etc). I had to ensure these tests were done at least 6 weeks after I had last been pregnant. The fertility nurse rang me with the results, I didn't have to go in for an appointment.

Not sure if that helps, but that's the first stage of recurrent loss investigations that they do in my area.

Thank you very much @Taysonic πŸ’• AF arrived today to onto the next! Hope my referral pops up soon, would like to get the ball rolling x

Ah sorry you might be out this month.

I've had recurrent miscarriage testing on the NHS, I think where I am works a little differently as I didn't have to wait for a referral. My EPAU just told me the info and got me to book in for the blood tests with them there after the appropriate waiting period post loss (which I can't remember how long it was but somewhere around 6 weeks I think). They also arranged a scan to check for the structure of my uterus.

Thanks @Moosey898 πŸ’•

useful to know what to expect, I guess bloods first makes sense. I have had a lot of fertility focussed bloods done recently through a endocrinologist, so hopefully I can bring my results and be fast tracked to a scan etc x

Sorry to hear about your BFN and temps dropping, I also track temps and use this as a guide for when AF is due.

I think having a break is actually a good idea! I had a break last cycle and I do think it was good for me because I was able to track my PMS symptoms without thinking 'is this a pregnancy symptom'.. Also, I completely reset mentally, I was starting to go down an unhealthy route with this by logging every symptom, my temps etc on chatGPT and getting it to forecast potential symptoms, testing dates etc for me.. I haven't done that this cycle and definitely won't in future because it was starting to take over a little.

I have an addictive personality type and am very 'faddy', hence my nickname 'thismonthsfad' lol so having a break was a good opportunity to reset physically and mentally ❀️

Thank you @thismonthsfad ❀️

AF came today but I always feel like my BBT gives me a heads up and I’ve come to terms with it by the time it happens, so in a way I do feel BBT tracking useful.

Still undecided on the break but definitely considering it, I don’t think the obsessing is healthy and surely not good for stress levels. I also use ChatGPT WAY too much, I post my temp chart in there every single day πŸ™ƒ I will definitely stop myself doing that this month, may need to delete the app haha x

Hi ladies, 13dpo today for me with another negative test and my temp has dropped by 0.4 so I am 99% sure I’m on my way out 😫 my period is saying in Flo that it’s due tomorrow. I’m deciding whether to have a break this next cycle, but I know I’ll still unconsciously be obsessing so another part of me just thinks I may as well just continue tracking haha.

another note, has anybody in this thread been referred and had investigations for recurrent miscarriages? I’m waiting to be referred but just wondering what to expect. TIA πŸ’•

Hey Ladies I was just wondering if anyone thinks this line is real or just an indent😣 I’ve not been ttc as i’ve started a new job and was holding off for 6 months (would be ecstatic if it did happen still though!) anyway thought i’d take a test as i’ve been really emotional and af is due in 4 days although I have irregular cycles!

Sorry Amey, I can't really see anything either but I've not got the best line eyes!

I'm 1dpo today and counting myself out already. 🀣 Haven't DTD over the ovulation window at all, last time was Sunday so think chances are very very slim. DP and I were flip-flopping a bit on whether we felt ready to start trying again in the lead up to this cycle and I would change my mind several times within a day. When it came down to it though, I felt excited at the prospect of getting pregnant and it being a possibility so I was up for it... But wasnt 100% certain how DP felt.

In the end, I gave him all the biology information and told him it was go time, but that I was leaving the ball in his court.

We did not play any ball. πŸ˜…

So... I'm not holding my breath and certainly won't be eagerly testing. I feel a little bit sad about it and a bit 'meh' today but I also don't want to be the one pushing for this if we're both not ready to accept the risk of another loss and the impact of that.

Limmers14 · 04/11/2025 19:50

Hi @amey44 I’m sorry but I don’t see anything there. How many dpo are you? It might be too early to test!

@Taysonic I have absolutely no will power! I have two weddings this weekend and was hoping I’d have a definite answer so I could enjoy a glass or two if not but looks like it’ll be a couple days too early for AF
You never know it might be easier for you to hold off now as I it might be more harmful to test earlier. I’m sorry to hear about your lossesπŸ₯ΉπŸ’•

StayingHopefulx · 04/11/2025 09:08

@thismonthsfad i am 5dpo today!

when’s the best time to start testing?

Everyone will likely say something different... and, some people have better will power holding off on testing than others! For me, I tend to think testing anything before 10dpo is probably not a very good indicator. After a couple of losses, I think I'm going to be a bit more 'protective' of myself going forward and would rather hold off testing until after my period due date and only test when it'll be a very obvious answer.

But, I know it'll be difficult to stop myself testing... or it has been in the past.

You'll hear all sorts of success stories of quite early positive results, but seeing the disappointment and confusion that evap lines/indents can cause... I'd always encourage people to hold off testing as long as they can.

Blondepeach · 04/11/2025 12:31

Hi all ✨ sending positive vibes to all above recent commenters that are early in their cycle and going into their fertile week. I’m 12dpo today and another negative test - going to assume that’s me for this month πŸ™ I was finding all the TTC stuff quite fun the first 6 months now I’m way past that point (started June 2024) it’s getting a bit exhausting each month and the hope starts to drain slightly. However, I am grateful for this community x
