Hi,

I'm not sure if I can even class this as a cycle but I'm either hoping for a period or a positive test. I've been on the combined pill for 7 years and stopped taking it on 25th September I had a withdrawal bleed from 30th-4th Oct. I'm unsure if I'd even be able to ovulate so soon? I logged it on flo as a period so I had something to base it off and it's suggesting to take a test on 29th Oct.

I have also had 2 surprise pregnancies whilst on the pill which did end in losses.

I don't really know what I'm asking I guess more so just wondering how soon others managed to get pregnant after coming off the pill. Also, how did people feel at different stages of ovulation like flo is telling me if it was a period cycle I'd be 6DPO so typically how should/would that feel?

I know everybody is different it's just a confusing time for me as I don't know what to expect xx

@BudgetBuster I know, but I used the same tests in my previous pregnancy so know that they get darker to a certain point and they’re still very faint! I did a digital yesterday and it was negative so think I’m still to early for this tests because they’re obviously not as sensitive.

Everyone is different after coming off the pill
Some people it can takes years, others can get pregnant just missing one bloody tablet!

Flo isn't a great indicator of ovulation as it just guesses. It basically takes your average cycle (which you don't even know the length yet, it's just assumed 1 month for you) and it puts ovulation in the middle.

I'd say give it a few months to stabilise and then maybe after Xmas you could start testing using LH strips for ovulation. I'd recommend the premom app at that stage.

Thank you for replying! That honestly makes so much sense, I'm just taking it as it comes and hopefully it works out eventually. I wish I'd came off it sooner now the more I think about it but nevermind. Appreciate your advice 😊

Thank you!
Yeah, they just aren’t getting darker as quickly as in my first pregnancy! Hoping they start to darken over the next couple of days!

Just to say, some tests never get VERY dark. Also HCG only doubles every 48 hours so early in pregnancy the increase in HCG is so small that it won't particularly affect the colour of the line. I'd recommend a weeks indicator test if you are worried, take one now and then one again next week and see if it has moved.

I really hope it's not a chemical, wishing you all the best.
If you don't mind me asking is the progression like darker lines etc?

Thank you!

Hello!
I’m at the other end of the TWW and have had a few positive tests, but I’m not seeing the progression I’d like to see at this point so I’m wondering if it’s going to be a chemical pregnancy - hopefully not!
Fingers crossed for both of you!

I haven’t recently come off the pill as was using timing with natural cycles to avoid pregnancy for the last 5 years. This is our first cycle trying as well and currently on 4dpo. Popping on to say hi as our timings are very close. The waiting is driving me insane and can’t stop over thinking it! 😂

Thank you for replying!! How exciting, I'm literally finding myself overthinking everything I'm glad it's not just me 😂 Please keep me updated on your progress fingers crossed for you!
