TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

@olivehush I usually count CD1 from the full bleeding. But I accept its just an estimation and not a science. Similarly with ovulation.

The peace and quiet now half term is over is exhilarating. I can actually think lol

olivehush · 03/11/2025 09:54

Count* not could!

Hi all! Hope you had a good half term/halloween.
Back to the chaos this morning 🤣 but good to have them back at school feel like I can actually crack on with my to do list now.

@MamaO88 i can definitely see progression there! I know it’s a nerve wracking time 💐

@Outside9 have heard from lots of people their symptoms disappear in 1st trimester totally normal! Could be the progesterone easing off whilst the HCG takes over? Glad your little one is better.

@MintRobin how are you doing? Any temptation to test soon or are you going to wait it out?

@mummatara ahh yes just waiting to O…the best part of the cycle as no obsessing but also boring 🤣

I have a question - do you could CD1 from spotting or a full bleed? I usually just start heavy straight away but on Saturday I was getting pink/light red when I wiped after weeing nothing actually coming out, put a pad in but nothing was on it all day. The proper flow started the next day. Should I could CD1 as the proper flow? In that case I’m CD8 not CD9 BUT…EWCM has started today! Wtf that’s super early.

@mummatara if you ovulate on CD17-19, does that mean your cycles are typically longer? And do you test for ovulation closer to that time, or earlier just in case?

@MamaO88 absolutely right. As soon as I took a test yday, my rational brain took over again lol. Very easy to forget how early things are, I think technically I'm 5 weeks now.

Plus I've been doing tips to ease nausea (e.g. cracker before getting up, vitamin b6 etc) so who know maybe something actually works.

mummatara · 03/11/2025 07:04

Nothing much happening here only CD9 still got between 8-10 days before O 😴

MamaO88 · 02/11/2025 22:58

Oh @Outside9 there’s nothing worse! I would be doing exactly the same as you, it’s so hard to remain rational isn’t it?

I'm finding myself testing my boobs to make sure they’re still sore on a fairly frequent basis 😅this is definitely the longest period between the positive test and actually getting the next proper confirmation at scan point.

How is everyone else doing?

Outside9 · 02/11/2025 11:20

Total contrast from how I felt a week ago. My symptoms have diminished to the point that I no longer feel pregnant.

My rational brain knows this happens sometimes and that I should appreciate the respite. My irrational brain is leading me to pick up some more tests 😅

Outside9 · 01/11/2025 21:31

@MamaO88 the line look progressive to me, especially on T3 which is encouraging. Sorry it's at a triggering time x

I'm doing much better thank you. My child has completely recovered. The severe nausea was I was experiencing has significantly calmed down. No complaints, things are much better.

The reality still hasn't quite set in but I'm feeling less anxious and more positive about the prospects of a 3rd. I've received a lot of pregnancy announcements recently, many having their first or second child. Seems like it's the season.

MamaO88 · 01/11/2025 19:41

Thank you - seems that even after 6 years the anxiety doesn’t go away 🙈probably doesn’t help that it’s the same month I had my loss too, I’m sure some of you can unfortunately relate 😫

I hope everyone else is doing ok? Anyone close to testing soon?

@Outside9 how are you keeping?

mummatara · 01/11/2025 19:38

@MamaO88I think that’s great progression for 5 days on that type of test it shows a much darker prominent line on the correct weeks

MamaO88 · 01/11/2025 19:33

Thanks @mummatara, did the one on the left on Monday, the right was this morning x

mummatara · 01/11/2025 19:32

@MamaO88i think that looks pretty good. How many days ago did you do the other one? It def shows progression. I get it it’s so hard not to compare but you’ve got all the good signs going on 🥰

MamaO88 · 01/11/2025 19:03

Ladies would you say that this is still showing progression?

I don’t have any reason to think anything otherwise, still have mega sore boobs and I’m absolutely knackered all the time, but this is my previous miscarriage timeline and it always gives me a bit itchy feet around the same period of time 🙈😣

Oh @Daisy42016 I’m not sure, I would agree with @mummatara and say go by your positive test, but wouldn’t hurt to dtd some more just in case 😉😅

mummatara · 01/11/2025 18:09

@Daisy42016i would go with your positive lh test and other symptoms. I have found I still get clear stretchy looking CM in my LP but it’s not quite like my proper ewcm when I am ovulating. Not sure if that makes much sense 🙈 how long have you been tracking for?

Daisy42016 · 01/11/2025 17:57

Hi all! I’m just wondering if any advice - I had a positive ovulation test/ lh surge detected along with symptoms (ewcm, cramping, twinges, swollen breasts etc) on 25th October, today and yesterday I had more cramping and lots of clear stretchy mucous, could I be ovulating now and not last week?

MintRobin · 31/10/2025 12:47

@MamaO88 ,Only 6dpo so no testing for me for a while yet! Not feeling too caught up in it all this month which is good, will just wait and see what happens!

Outside9 · 30/10/2025 23:22

MamaO88 · 30/10/2025 22:12

How is everyone? Anyone else been testing or still patiently waiting?

Not bad thanks, nausea isn't great but at least I'm able to function compared to a few days ago.

Finished my pack of tests now not a great deal has changed. Won't buy more unless something feels different.

How are you?

How is everyone? Anyone else been testing or still patiently waiting?

MintRobin · 29/10/2025 20:11

That's exciting @MamaO88!

mummatara · 29/10/2025 19:44

@MamaO88ahhh that’s excellent it should def give you a good idea by then exciting 🥰

MamaO88 · 29/10/2025 16:10

I’ve got an early scan booked for the 14th - hoping I’ll be far enough along then to see/hear heartbeat and get rough ideas of due date etc

mummatara · 29/10/2025 12:42

@MegaMinion34did you test again today?

mummatara · 28/10/2025 08:15

@MamaO88before I was admitted as a permanent patient at the EPU we booked and paid for private scans I’m sure they were called viability scans but in all honestly I don’t think it matters what they call them they all did the same thing looked for baby looked for heartbeat and gave me a rough due date based on measurements. Though at that early stage they can still be about a week out by the time you get to the 12 week they catch up. They are so small even a couple of mm can throw it off a few days.

Outside9 · 28/10/2025 07:49

@MamaO88 if you're 18 DPO that would mean my guess was pretty spot on
