TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

@mummatara so sorry to hear AF showed up 💐 chemicals are shit! Take it easy.

Good luck for your TWW @MintRobin @OliveRose2

how are you getting on @Outside9 ? Hope the little one is feeling better.

AF showed up today for me also so cycle 4 has officially begun.

Continuing CoQ10 and just started the Maca root this morning. I didn’t take it last month as I was worried it would bring O forward but that happened anyway so could have been the CoQ10 that did that! I don’t really have any rhyme or reason for taking them other than I happen to have conceived successfully in the past whilst taking them VS not taking them 🤣 so even if they are nothing but a good luck charm…I’ll take it!

@Outside9ahhhh that’s very exciting 🥰 let us know how to morning test looks. Will you test for progression or just leave it?

Outside9 · 26/10/2025 17:31

Well, 13 DPO I think. Was difficult not to test today but I was committed to waiting another day or two.

Went to the gym, did a warm-up on the treadmill and once I was done I had to rush to the toilets to throw up. This is very naturally unusual, so I'm sure you know where this is going. Rushed home, tested and sure enough... a faint, but clear positive.

Stupidly stunned, surprised, thankful, anxious, etc. DH is even more stunned and pensive. We'll see how things go. I'll test again in the AM.

Hope everyone else is having a pleasant weekend (all things considered).

MintRobin · 26/10/2025 11:58

@mummatara oh I'm so sorry, its totally understandable to be disheartened!

Going to try and just wait until AF due to test, but we'll see how long i manage to hold out for!

mummatara · 26/10/2025 10:08

AF arrived today 😢 even though I knew it was coming still feel super disheartened.

@MintRobin@OliveRose2 good luck for the TWW ladies got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 will you test early or wait?

How’s everyone else doing?

OliveRose2 · 25/10/2025 11:14

@mummatara so sorry, that's so shit. Chemicals are horrible. I peaked yesterday so just going into TWW. Which I normally hate but am on holiday at the moment so hopefully it'll pass quickly. Though annoying that I can't drink!

Outside9 · 25/10/2025 02:50

@mummatara chemicals are so cruel. Sorry that there wasn't more luck this cycle. You're totally right in that when the sticky bean does come it usually like it was the right time for them. Fingers crossed for next one x

@MintRobin that's very true. Looking back, besides maybe tender nipples, my pregnancy symptoms are pretty much same as period ones. We shall see!

MintRobin · 24/10/2025 21:24

@mummatara yep, peak today! Now get to look forward to the dreaded 2ww 😅

mummatara · 24/10/2025 21:12

@MintRobindid you peak yet?

mummatara · 24/10/2025 21:12

@MintRobinthanks lovely. 20 year old me would never have guessed making a baby would be so bloody hard 🤦🏼‍♀️

MintRobin · 24/10/2025 20:18

Sending love @mummatara.It's so hard isn't it - so much stress involved in the whole process!!

Fingers crossed AF stays away @olivehush @Outside9! Like a bad trick that period and pregnancy symptoms can be so similar! I feel like i never noticed symptoms when i wasn't trying to get pregnant in the past - but now, it's hard not to analyse every sniffle and stitch!

mummatara · 24/10/2025 19:33

Well I think this is a MC/chemical I did the Sainsbury’s test which has a level of 25 and it’s negative so my hcg level must be somewhere between 10 and 20 ish I reckon. Definitely not high enough for having positives all week. It’s gutting but at this point in our TTC journey it almost sounds bad to say I expect it. When a sticky little one comes along it will be at the right time just have to keep going through a tonne of hoops to get there

mummatara · 24/10/2025 16:07

@olivehushoh I’m sorry 😢 really sucks. There is still a little time. I really don’t think I implanted until late this time.

@Outside9hopefully af is a no show Monday. I do think it’s hard when you’re so conscious of what your body is doing when TTC every little thing is like oooh is that something. I’m glad LO feels better

@OliveRose2where are you with testing I can’t remember? My tests still look a bit rubbish and this mornings def lighter but then it was lighter on Thursday morning too. I don’t think it helps my wee looked quite light this morning so prob dilute too. I actually went into Sainsbury’s and got their own brand £3.50 tests just to see what it looked like on those but not been home yet to do one. At this point as long as I don’t start bleeding I’ll ring EPU on Monday so they can book me in for an early scan anyway. Then I’ll know what’s happening. Ahhh it actually does help to hear that ❤️ it’s nice to know it doesn’t always end up bad news. I’ve had so much cramping this time every day really don’t know if that’s a good sign or not

OliveRose2 · 24/10/2025 15:31

@olivehush So sorry about BFN, it's so hard not to get your hopes up each month. Good luck for next cycle.

@mummatara hope you get some progression with your lines. I do remember with my son for the first week I was really worried as the line seemed to get fainter and then took ages to get properly dark, but it was OK in the end. Probably not helpful to hear that though as I know it doesn't help to get your hopes up.

Outside9 · 24/10/2025 14:25

11DPO. Admittedly it was tough not testing, but thankfully and unfortunately I've had my hands full. LO is now much better and recovering from HFMD.

I did have nausea yesterday and this morning, however I know that can happen right before your period, and I'm more conscious of my bodily sensations.

We DTD this afternoon, and there was an ever so slight odour that I usually get like 3days before period, so I'm more certain AF will show come Monday. Obviously not 100%.

Mixed emotions as we were conflicted. Every time we've tried in the past we've been fortunate for it to have happened first attempt, so feels like almost a sign to reflect some more.

Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend 😊

olivehush · 24/10/2025 12:36

12dpo BFN 👎 am gutted actually as there was something about this cycle that felt different but that’s always the way isn’t it. Hubby said everything happens for a reason and she/he is just not ready for us yet 🙏🏼 waiting for AF Monday then on to cycle 4!

Have a good weekend everyone!

OP posts:
mummatara · 23/10/2025 17:09

@Outside9gosh I wish I had your willpower! Hope your LO is feeling better

@justkeepswimming2701hopefully something will come of it 🤞🏼 ahhh hopefully something will magically appear in the next couple of days. How do you feel any weird symptoms?

@MintRobinyaaaay grab hubby quick 😂 I agree it’s doesn’t take much for them to be in the mood 🙊

MamaO88 · 23/10/2025 15:39

@MintRobin in my experience they always suddenly get “in the mood” 😉😂

MintRobin · 23/10/2025 15:23

Keeping fingers crossed for you all testing that you get good news soon!! @olivehush don't give up, hopefully test tomorrow is more positive

My LH tests are finally recording a high result! So peak on it's way - CD16 today. Now need to just catch my husband, his works been crazy this week and he's been knackered haha

olivehush · 23/10/2025 15:10

@justkeepswimming2701 haha, I was staring at this morning’s BFN in so many different lights, put it in the bin and got it out again twice etc I was desperate to just see something! I feel like I could see the squintiest shadow but I’ve seen grey/white shadowy lines like that on cheapies occasionally before and not been pregnant so I just disregard anything that’s not pink and fairly obvious even if it is faint! One last test tomorrow then that’s it. We are similar DPO then! Fingers crossed for us both!

OP posts:
justkeepswimming2701 · 23/10/2025 14:43

@Outside9 wish I had your good willpower!

justkeepswimming2701 · 23/10/2025 14:42

@olivehush I'm right with you with ‘loopy!’ I said I’d be calmer this month, but I tested at 8, 9 and 10dpo (today) and they’re all negative, yet I continue to stare at them hoping something will magically appear.

@mummatara sorry for the uncertainty! I’ve had two chemicals at the beginning of our TTC journey this time and it’s so disappointing. Fingers crossed those tests continue to develop and you get the answer you want 🤞

@MamaO88 I always find Clearblue lines can be a bit funny. They definitely look like a hopeful start!

olivehush · 23/10/2025 09:11

@Outside9 I’ve been contemplating getting some of those Boots early tests, but with today’s BFN not sure if there’s much point now.

@MamaO88 AF due Monday, there’s also a VERY slim chance I may be 10dpo and not 11dpo - I don’t Temp just go off my own symptoms so I guess I can never be 100% sure! In that case AF would be due Tuesday.

This is the worst part where I start going a bit loopy 🤣

OP posts:
Outside9 · 23/10/2025 08:17

~10DPO I think. Picked up tests from boots yday. Tempting but think I'll still hold until period is due. Weekend will be challenging to get through though.

Good luck with tests and line progressions all

MamaO88 · 23/10/2025 06:57

@olivehush yes it’s very annoying! I just want like for like comparisons 😅

Sorry for BFN, when is AF due again? Sorry if you’ve already said!

@mummatara I’ve never really used clear blue non stop, these were an impulse Amazon buy when I was needing cheapie tests and just thought why not 😅yeah taken once it had dried for comparison, but the one I took immediately was much the same
