Sorry to hear @HansBanans ! Onto next month, hopefully the clearblues help to pin your cycle down properly 😊 I’m 2dpo, my period only came back last month for the first time since having DD (still breastfeeding). From cheapies I ovulated on CD30 this month! So extremely late, poor husband and I were DTD every 2/3 days from CD10, and then 1/2 days as my LH started to climb. I’m a little bit unwell at the moment and this is my first full cycle since DD so I’m not hopeful, but am just wanting to get back into the swing of things, understanding surges and what not.

HansBanans · 13/10/2025 10:08

AF has just arrived. That’s me moving onto cycle 6 I think, feel like I’ve lost track a bit! Clearblue digitals should be here by Wednesday 🤞🏻

HansBanans · 13/10/2025 07:06

@OliveParrot hi 👋 that’s good your cycles are starting to become more regular, best of luck for this cycle

OliveParrot · 12/10/2025 22:10

Hi everyone, hope it's okay if I join, I'm totally new here. I'm 34, TTC my first. On cycle 6 of trying and 8DPO, although only the last 3 cycles have been regular since I coming off the pill after 14 years. Just wanted to join in with others on the same journey!

@CDD1992 sorry to hear AF got you. I’ve no clue where I’m at as FF thinks I’m 16dpo but I’m potentially only 10dpo. BFN at 14dpo so who knows! I’ve not see a November thread yet x

There is still time for you yet @HansBanans! Keeping everything crossed. X

AF arrived this morning so I’m out for this month. Played games with my mind too as AF was two days late, never mind. Is there a November thread yet?! Xx

Ec2808 · 11/10/2025 09:57

@memorablemickera lot of women do so to make sure it’s a viable pregnancy,..if the lines don’t really darken or get lighter could mean a chemical pregnancy but try not to fixate to much on it and enjoy it it’s your first 🥰

Thank you for looking with me @Ec2808 and @MamaGeordie - I’m really pleased to see a faint positive. I’m around 8-10DPO (tricky to pin down exact ovulation date).

seems like those CB digitals were worth the investment this month…!

I’ve often seen people take tests across multiple days to see the line get darker. Can anyone explain to me why that might be useful?

Sending lots of care during the 2WW. I was supposed to wait 3 more days before testing but couldn’t quite restrain myself…

MamaGeordie · 11/10/2025 09:41

I see it! Huge congratulations @memorablemicker ❤️

Ec2808 · 11/10/2025 09:37

I got impatient and couldn’t quite wait, please may someone look at this and see if you can see what I see? It’s an FRER

@laurajane07Oh I see it and all your symptoms sound so positive! I have everything crossed for you 🤞❤️

Ec2808 · 10/10/2025 14:26

agree with what @memorablemicker says the CB digital is more sensitive at detecting the surge, but that's the good thing you get the time to have some swimmers in the right place at the right time 😂

Haha, yes! It's all about timing the troops. All so good to know. It all feels a bit more challenging and stressful this time now that I'm close to 40.

MamaGeordie · 11/10/2025 08:53

memorablemicker · 10/10/2025 14:23

Ah I’m sorry, fingers crossed for next month.

I found the CB digital OPK worth it but didn’t realise lots about them:

  • the digital reader gets more in tune with you after a couple of cycles of use (I think, and I’ve read it elsewhere)
  • you really do have to start testing from the cd it recommends depending on your cycle length - I thought that was silly and a way of getting you to spend more money on refills but it’s because it’s detecting a surge (so the difference from your baseline - again, not a doctor but that’s my understanding). It didn’t work at all (I got negatives) for me when I tried to use it around day of ovulation a few months ago, abut worked well for me when I used it in the run up and across days of suspected ovulation.

cons:

  • expense
  • still hard to tell what day you actually ovulate on. Static smiley comes up when it picks up your surge and then stays on the reader for 48 hours. It says it means ovulation happens 24-48 hours from static smiley appearing which I took as a certainty but I think I was actually later than that this month, more like three days…

Oh wow, thanks so much for this! It helps a lot! 😊

Thanks so much 😊
AF ended up coming on CD27 so out again this month and a very unusual long cycle for me. Hitting reset and considering CB digital tests...are they worth it? I've heard mixed things. I used IC tests TTC in my last pregnancy but find them difficult to read sometimes.
I'd never thought to try Vinted - what a bargain @HansBanans👏
Hope everyone is feeling ok.

Hi all,

In my 2WW and third cycle properly TTC our first (5th cycle sorta trying!). Got a static smiley from cb digital opk evening of CD15. NC reckons CD 19 for ovulation but other apps reckon either 17 or 18. Tricky to tell! BD regularly until CD17 but husband away CD17-20 so not sure if life got in the way this month!

Intense nausea today around 7DPO which I’ve never had at this point in a cycle before but I know that would be way too early really.

Currently CD25 of a 33 day cycle.

really nice to have a little community going here - thanks for setting up the thread 😊

wishing everyone positive thoughts and baby dust.

@Ec2808 I’m quite pleased with myself on the Clearblue digital opks, got a sealed box of 20 on vinted for half the rrp. Love a bargain 🤣

Ec2808 · 10/10/2025 09:50

@HansBanans only time will tell! Fingers crossed!! and if not the clearblue opk are pricey but i only needed one box 😘

@Ec2808 I did a manual override in ff and it is saying chances are low 😕 will just need to ride it out and see what happens 🤞🏻 I definitely don’t feel like af is imminent so I think you’re right x

Ec2808 · 10/10/2025 08:50

@HansBanans to me it looks like you ovulated on what you thought was 6-7 dpo so i say chances are pretty good 🤞🏻🤞🏻
