Hi everyone,
I’m a bit early but I liked having people to chat to last cycle who were going through similar. It can feel isolating having nobody to talk to about it other than DH when it’s taking up your every thought.

CD5 for me today. Will start uploading LH strips to Premom from CD 10.

Going to try the ‘sperm meets egg’ method this month to see if a bit of structure helps.

sending everybody lots of luck!

Congratulations!! Hope it continues to get darker for you 🤞

@Anya23so I had a 6w mc last cycle, I was tracking hcg weekly to ensure it was fading and then about 4dpo I just had a notion and started testing daily (twice on 5po 😂) and then today it looks darker - eek!

Edited

Ooh I see, fingers crossed this sticks 🤞

Well, thought I was a lunatic until today at 7dpo it looks darker

Congrats! That's a really good line for 7 dpo, but even for 5 dpo. Could you have ovulated earlier?

@ttcbabyno2berearliest I test is 8DPO. Anything earlier is just a waste IMO. It’s easy to resist until then as knowing it’ll be neg means nothing good can come from it.

Congrats @Esssa! Hope it'll be a sticky one for you this time 🤞
Welcome @Angelyoga. I think it's normal for a period not to come back the whole time you're breastfeeding. I breastfed for 16 months, but period returned around 8 months. I felt ovulation quite clearly, and had EYCM immediately at the first ovulation. Can I ask, did you have pcos before dc#1? How long were you trying with them?

Angelyoga · 27/09/2025 20:20

Hi all!

Joining you as I want DC #2. Free contact with DH ever since giving birth.

Unfortunately no period yet, 14+ months postpartum (due to breastfeeding, and pcos). I use opks daily, just to feel I have some kind of power over my body. Of course, bfn every time.

I had bloods again this week.
GP suggested clomid, but I will know for sure after gynae appointment.

Worried about taking pills while breastfeeding and about running out of time (almost 35).

Tes004 · 27/09/2025 19:45

@7nationbaby honestly it drives me mad. I’m ok for 5 days and then I just spiral - I do have a positive feeling about this month tho -

7nationbaby · 27/09/2025 19:26

Congrats @Esssa! That’s such a journey for you, I hope this is the stickiest of beans!

@Tes004im in the same boat, absolute lunatic lining up my hpts since 4dpo on the sideboard. Think im only 6 dpo now so not sure how I tested so many times 🙈

Tes004 · 27/09/2025 18:29

So I’m either 6 or 7dpo and I’ve completely not held off on my promise to not test - and we’ll - I’ve done 2 already - of course bfn 😂🙈 told myself it didn’t matter but still dug it out of the bin to try and tell myself there is a shadow - which there is not … let the madness continue

olivehush · 27/09/2025 16:12

@Esssa ah sounds like such a rollercoaster. Hope it happens for you soon. It’s hard to understand how there’s so many people on the planet when TTC is actually so hard?! DD1 took 15 cycles and 2 early MCs! No fertility issues (I’d began to have investigations), just the way it was.

Esssa · 27/09/2025 15:06

I've been kicking around on these threads since November ish I think. Had a miscarriage in March, chemical in May and I think a bfp yesterday morning. 11dpo. Cycle 9 I think. I'd just about given up. I only tested because my temp went up when I was expecting it to go down in preparation for AF arriving. I have everything crossed it's third time lucky this year. Tested again this morning and was thinking it's lighter but once dried they both look about the same. Now to wait till tomorrow and see if it's darker or disappeared. It's a complete head f*ck this isn't it!

Chloemarieh · 27/09/2025 08:20

How is everyone doing? 3dpo over here and already wanting to test but I know testing now would be a huge waste. Going to hold off until 7 and then go from there with the internet cheapies! I won’t feel so guilty then. I can’t remember how many dpo I was with my son 5 years ago but at some point I got my bfp in the same way! X

Anya23 · 26/09/2025 19:27

ttcbabyno2ber · 26/09/2025 19:22

I don’t even think it’s possible at 6dpo to be honest especially if you’re tracking!

i got my bfp at 8dpo with my twin pregnancy (miscarriage) and 8dpo with my son! But this time I want to hold off.

Wow! I got a BFN with my dd at 9/10 dpo, so I already gave up, but a few days later I felt some twinges and lower back pain and the next day I had my bfp

ttcbabyno2ber · 26/09/2025 19:22

Anya23 · 26/09/2025 19:19

I start around 8-9. Is it even possible to get a faint positive 6 dpo? Not judging, I also have tested early once out of curiosity 😂 I feel like even 8-9 is too early to test but then I usually just can't wait anymore lol

What dpo does everyone start testing? I’ve definitely been a 6/7dpo tester in the past but this time round I’m telling myself to hold off until 10dpo!

Hi. I'd dtd every second day, if you have the opportunity
I for example have very fast surges, this cycle it was only two days. I also have quite a lot of EYCM luckily, so I do know if I'm going to be ovulating in about 2days, but if you don't have other symptoms, you might not know when your fertile days actually start if that makes sense

Thank you for your help!

So I am currently ttc baby2. I used to have very regular 28 day cycles, we fell pregnant in Jan 2022 but lost twins at 10 weeks. I then fell pregnant in august 22 and have a son. I never took opks because of how regular I was.

Fast forward to earlier this year and I get diagnosed with PCOS after a scan and blood tests. Periods went from regular to sometimes 3 weeks, sometimes 7 week cycles. With our symptoms as well.

I do sometimes get sharp pain in an ovary around time of ovulation but to get an idea on my symptoms around ovulation I might just see how they align up when I get a positive test and go from there!

Hi everyone! I need a bit of advice regarding ovulation tests. I have PCOS so I can have 25 day cycles or 45 day cycles. It’s a bit random. We’re only on cycle 1 but I’ve decided to take ovulation tests just to see when I’m actually ovulating.

I am currently cycle day 13 with a very definite negative. Would you still dtd ever 2 days despite light negative tests or is it ok to dtd every 3 days. I don’t want to ruin our chances of conceiving.

@Kittybwayso sorry for your loss, that must have been awful. Fingers crossed for you this month.

@Chloemariehwelcome! I dipped in and out of a similar thread for the first time last month and it was helpful! You’ll have to come back and let us know how you’ve got on.

CD9 for me today. DTD yesterday as per the sperm meets egg plan, seemed a bit early but we’ll go with it. Then it’s every other day until LH peak, then every day for the next 2 days.

it’s weird being on such a set schedule for the first time 😂

ooh I just re-read my chatgpt notes, it says to keep sperm fresh every 3-5 days during the non fertile window, during the fertile window it's every 2-3 days! I will just see how we get on!
Best of luck everyone 😄
