For those who want to look to the future and TTC again I would really like some support, advice etc.
I thought we needed a new thread with positive energy (yes have turned into chanting hippy) so that we feel we are moving forward rather than dwelling on what has already passed.
The only thing I can concentrate on at the moment is that next Wed is the day that me and DH can start trying again (this will be 2 weeks after ERPC).
Anyone else ready to try again?

sending as much baby dust to you as poss!

romilly · 22/02/2005 21:38

you guys are all just the best. i went out tonight and had 3 (large) glasses of wine cause the stress of this whole business is getting to me - i know, i know i shouldnt be drinking, i shouldnt be testing, - what should i be doing? baking???!!! yoga?!!!!

i can't bear it. bella, your "bell jar" metaphor was pure genius, cause this is UNbearable. isnt life a strange game.

ok, enough of that - thank you for routing for me everyone, bella, dqueen, mishi, yingers, girlfromimp, hereshoping, george and everyone on this thread - you are a great team of ttc buddies and i want each and every one of us to have a happy ending to this ttc'ing game.

mishi - i hope you and fastasleep sort out your differences - she seems to care enough to be making the effort which in my book counts for a lot. we all make mistakes.

dqueen - a budding photograher huh? d/h is a professional photographer (just well and truly busted myself now if he looks on this, hi honey!)

wish me babydust......i need it...............lots of it....

OI BABYDUST!!!!!

girlfromip · 22/02/2005 16:36

thanks dq, dh walking about, walking wounded, limping really! No just this vile cold come back I think!
V impressed by your course, I wish you could set up an online gallery of some of your photos and then give us the link?
Have to run and arbitrate round some injustice in the kitchen...... arghhhhhhhhhh
have exercise class tonight, do you think it will snow so I can go to bed????

Bella23 · 22/02/2005 16:35

DQ - retractable ski pass holder will be found in any outdoor shop I think.
I forget that teenagers these days have far more fashion sense than I ever did when I was young! Can never go wrong with ONEIL.
Yes agree on the obsession front. Trying to obsess about getting the garden sorted for summer but exactly what i would call fun!
Yes its pretty crap waiting for AF to go but just keep reminding yourself how far you have come (indeed everyone on this thread). Just think you are on the brink of ttc again whereas weeks ago we were "in the bell jar" feeling very grim after m/c. We now have hope again...hoorah

no exactly what i am often doing bella -WHEN i'mn pg, and WHEn i've had a another baby are phrases i often think, even not always say out loud. its because my head can only deal with one major obsession at a time I reckon!! i have been doing this course a long time, and will stay on til it either stops or has had enough of me, its sorrt of turned into a photography club now. i started because i take billions of photos anyhow, so may as well get them in focus and looking good!!!
new mission -get retractable ski pass holder for ds. okay........ whats it look like and where will i get one? he has got animal and Oneil kit to wear. hes already v fussy being a teenager!

i want it to be next week!!! I want to be bd-ing and DOING SOMETHING towards getting pg, not sitting around. aggggggghhhh!

Girl -meant to say, sorry dh is ill, gosh is it catching???? seems like many hubbies are ill or getting ill on this thread. hope you are warm now btw

Bella23 · 22/02/2005 16:01

I remember from a school ski-ing trip that the best thing to have is cool ski gear. My friend and I had to hire these naff ones (parents made us) and I think I am still scared by the laughs we got by being in such terrible out of date outfits! A jacket with lots of pockets to store stuff is great. A retractable ski pass holder which springs back is cool.
DQ - photography class sounds interesting. I feel a little like I am putting my life on hold at the minute waiting to start a family. Keep promising myself I will do all sorts in the future once I've had a baby. Sounds a bit pathetic when I say it out loud so only admitting it to you guys!

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 22/02/2005 15:53

thanks for the ski info, bella, youre a star. what about any silly extras? things you couldnt live without when on ski holiday? i'm determined to make this a fab experience for him. i mean -america! skiing! without parents! woah, how lucky can you get at 13?!
yingers i do black and white photography. now the intense studying side is over (that was last year, learning chemical stuff and f stops etc etc....) and we are just taking billions of pictures and printing them/developing them i'm having a ball. and heavenly time out from family too! ! did i just say that?!
i can resist the august thread now, -they are now so far ahead, its like a whole different world, what I have trouble with is the newest pg thread......I am so jealous -not a nice thing i know so i do all i can not to read ANY of them.

Bella23 · 22/02/2005 14:55

DQ - am a ski bunny.
Things to take are lots of thin layers. You don't need to splash out loads, just make sure he has lots of long sleeved t-shirts and thin fleeces that can be worn under ski gear.
Spend the money on decent ski socks though as the boots are a killer on the shins otherwise. Lots of sun protection.
Mishi - yes as a glasses wearer myself I can sympathis on the cost - bloody expensive.
Thanks for the shouting, will try and take notice and stay away from the August thread!
Romilly - no pressure or anything but we are all routing for you

yingers74 · 22/02/2005 13:15

BELLA STAY AWAY FROM THE AUGUST THREAD! Please!

Is that any good bella, not very good at ordering people about, am a bit of a push over! Good luck with the sticks, am ordering some now!
Mishi - um, not sure what to say about fast's message. It is up to you, u know her, I don't. i think she is genuinely sorry though.

Fastasleep · 22/02/2005 10:35

Mishi I want to be your friend..I'm really really sorry for trespassing on here and I won't come back but I guess you've blocked me everywhere else...

If you remember I said I'd sent you a long waffling message in messenger the day after I found out I was pregnant, mainly because I saw a post on here by you and I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I had just been through something so awful and everyone was falling pregnant around me.... the thought made me cry... and I (probably stupidly) wrote a huge message in MSN basically well..telling you. You disappeared offline 2 seconds after I pressed 'send'...I didn't get the message sent back so I assumed you'd got it and that I'd really upset you.... I told you this the other day in messenger! I thought until then that you knew... I was so upset.. I thought I'd been awful... I always screw everything up when it comes to friends and hey ho I probably have a screw loose... I was avoiding you because I was waiting for me to upset you over this...I really really didn't want to I'm so sorry .

I won't tresspass on this thread again I have no right to. You're all very brave women.

dramaqueen72 · 22/02/2005 10:35

oooooooh yes, today is going well sof ar! phew, thought i might be doomed to crazy hormones for a while.
leak fixed, troublesome radiator also fixed and my cleaner is here doing ironing......all is well in DQ world. also have college tonight which cheers me no end. i am not 'mummy' or 'wife of' at college, i am just slightly mad, slightly silly friendly ME! its nice, just once a week!
oh bread, mm, yummy, hereshoping was it good? i havent baked anything in oh, 14hrs!LOL......Girl i would of eaten the lot in the 'it doesnt keep pretense anyhow!!
er NINE children iceskating? oh gosh hereshoping!!. can you rope in a relative to help you?
sorry the opks showed nothing yingers, tell us your dates again, maybe you O'ed before you started them (thats what i do usually!!)
romilly, when are you TESTING? i'm dying to find out for you!!!!no prob for the mention on that VERY clicky thread. it made me feel very 'left out' and i thought right! i'm going to fix it for my friends...but then found my mind had gone fairly blank for any info about you all.....but remembered some of you for something!!!....my appolgies if i couldnt remember, or it was crap mention..
i'm sure when we are all mothers of the one we're trying for now(and some of you ttc again ) and have been here years and years we shall be able to rule such threads.... sigh, sometimes mn is 'who you know'-ish. and i dont like it very much then.
bella, yes please to your mums luck. just for a few months please.
this af is abit of a breeze, hardly there, but enough to reassure me its af, fabulous.

by the way, any of you been skiing? i posted a thread about ds whos going skiing next month in usa, with the school, could do with any inof on what he should take etc, as dont ski personally.
hugs to you all
DQ...x

Bella23 · 22/02/2005 10:28

Please please please tell me to keep away for the "due in August" thread. Why do I do it to myself???? Its like a sick need to really depress myself!! I think I need to be shouted at

OP posts:
Bella23 · 22/02/2005 09:45

Morning ladies
Mishi - absolutely we need to be all on a birth board! My mum is always incredibly lucky and it is her birthday in March so have decided that her luck will be there for us - so good news is on the horizon - ye ha !!
Hereshopping - I soooo love soda bread but I would be forced to eat the whole lot as have no will power, fresh bread you just can't beat it!
GFP - missed ER, nothing earth shattering story line wise so you should be ok for next week.
Yingers, those itchy fingers are a nightmare aren't they. I have started a military type operation with my ov sticks, will see how I do.
DQ - hope the leak is fixed and today starts off better

OP posts:
girlfromip · 22/02/2005 00:21

bella, muchos empathos for those predatory calls, I said to one woman a couple of weeks ago "Would you please just tell her that I am not pregnant anymore and to stop harrassing me!". Missed ER, bummer. Was it good?
Mishi, I am speechless, that is beyond unethical behaviour - where do people like that come from? What can you do about someone that clueless?
Hereshoping, soda bread, [ sigh ]. Was it fab? It doesn't keep though does it, aren't you forced to just eat it all the same day?
Hope all are well, romilly, yingers and all. DQ, hope you are better now and fast asleep without a care in the world...

yingers74 · 21/02/2005 22:58

mishi - sorry to hear about your experience, I think she is out of order and you are right to be angry.

Rom - no idea about dates, not got my AF yet and used up all of my ovulation sticks, and they were of no help. Not sure I will test again for a while but then again as I said I get itchy fingers and before I know it, wee in a pot, dip the stick in!!!!!!!!!!!!

hereshoping · 21/02/2005 22:15

Ithink Ive caught the dq baking bug - made soda bread today - in honour of recent Ireland fix no AF yet for me and feeling remarkably serene so prob not for a while
Ive had to enquire through gritted teeth today re health of pg sil and friend both due aug - they are in the blooming stage and im supposedly 'over it'
otherwise ok -steeling myself for conception duty next mth
oldest ds 8 on Sat and dh forgotten and arranged to work despite party - am facing taking 9 children iceskating on my own..

mishi1977 · 21/02/2005 22:13

aww thanks all you are a lovely bunch of ladies..huge hugs..i hope we all fall pg this month so can be on birth board together....if not i want a survivours of mc thread..pmsl...just thanks for listening

Bella23 · 21/02/2005 21:59

Mishi - Lord above, that woman is no friend! Sorry to be blunt but that is disgraceful behaviour! I hope you can manage to put her out of your mind as it must be very upsetting.
DQ - tomorrow will be better I promise

OP posts:
romilly · 21/02/2005 21:55

dq - what a nightmare - poor u hope d/h comes back soon to help you out
