For those who want to look to the future and TTC again I would really like some support, advice etc.
I thought we needed a new thread with positive energy (yes have turned into chanting hippy) so that we feel we are moving forward rather than dwelling on what has already passed.
The only thing I can concentrate on at the moment is that next Wed is the day that me and DH can start trying again (this will be 2 weeks after ERPC).
Anyone else ready to try again?

duh, obviously, that should read ;DIDNT test!!! would tell you if i did!

dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 14:31

well, happier DQ now as dh has said sorry (major novelty)
Bella, actually it was all i could do not to test (pg test) this morning. absolutely miles away from 20th (preposed test date) but tempted as purchase 'ultra early' pg tests and was reading the leaflet. apparently i can test just days after CONCEPTION. wow. did test, but............nearly had too! so understand utterly your test collection growing there.
try not to bankrupt yourself but otherwise, go ahead test all you want, if it helps. gosh we have enough to stress about without worrying we are 'odd' or weird for testing so much. and its so 'normal' everyone i know ttc-ing tests as often as poss. i think i will either have an opk or early hpt in my hand every morning!!! its just this 'phase' id like that. once your pg, its onto the next worry......and then the next and then the next.....(once their born, well you REALLY lose it! ) would you like me to tell you the make of my ultra early ones? or am i just feeding your addiction???

Bella23 · 08/02/2005 13:34

Yingers - with you on them all apart from Matt Damon (even if smiling)
Ok officially going into nutter territory as have buckled and bought an early response test from Boots at lunch. I blame the media as saw it advertised on tv this morning and it reckons it picks the hormone up 4 days before AF is due.
Now I know I am being silly as AF will not come exactly as she would have pre m/c but I just had to !!!!
I am such a bad girl - the urge to purchase was just too overwhelming!
I need to get a grip before they cart me off in a straight jacket

its too late yingers, have decided youre a dirty old woman..!!!

yingers74 · 08/02/2005 13:09

Other men also a bit of alright:

sean bean
Colin firth - yummy
Ben Affleck
Russel crowe (as gladiator only)
Matt damon - only when smiling
any of the men in Lord of the rings, nice and sweaty
the guy who plays angel in buffy

Ok will stop there before u all think I am some dirty old woman!!!

yingers74 · 08/02/2005 13:05

am def more johnny depp than brad, although my fave is keanu, what a babe!

Bella, has been about 3 weeks or so I think, have no real idea what to expect.

And yes totally know about the ttc arguments, my dh is also keen to have another baby and is in some ways more obsessed than me but he doesn't want to talk about it to much especially the o time, he thinks it is enough to know about it, we don't have to discuss it. This normally leads to an argument where i accuse him of not being able to communicate and ignoring my feelings and so on!!!!

And i guess it would be quite nice to give birth and then tuck into turkey and stuffing!!!!

dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 09:59

goodluck with your friend MEN, cant live with......cant apparently live without them..

dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 09:58

aaaaah, yes Robbie. lovely man. bit f*cked in the head (after reading the book) but just so so in need of ...ahem.....'mothering'

mishi1977 · 08/02/2005 09:56

no no no uve got it all wrong robbie williams is the ONE mmmmm
well i can completely sympathise on dh being child..mine is great 96% the toehr times its like having a stroppy teenager..i wouldnt even say toddler as my son is nowhere near as bad..lol
Anyways will try and catch up later as am supposed to be going to see a friend who has just made her dp leave....so preparing myslef for a bit of tears

Bella23 · 08/02/2005 09:56

Johnny is my top fav, definately looks abit naughty - Brad is too all american pretty boy for me.
Now Hugh - only post floppy hair. Wouldn't kick out of bed though.
You see - arguement in distance now
And surely you know that men are always like children at some point - but you know that don't you!

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 09:50

bella (((HUGS))) love you for cheering me up. dh being my fourth child today. grrrrrrrrrr.
now on to serious things. Johnny i think, tho you know, Brad is rather lovely too. i do think mr depp has more deep and dark eyes which look like hes abit naughty, abit cheeky.....
hugh Grant is really my 'housewifes pin up' tho.

Bella23 · 08/02/2005 09:46

DQ - sounds like a typical male/female arguement, very frustrating! I manage to only mention the odd thing about ttc recently as otherwise I tend to get the "bored" expression. Now I know DH wants a baby as much as me, I just know that he would rather "let nature take its course" and stop with the talking and obsessing about it! DH has his head filled with work - how? I do not know as I work full time also and manage to only think about ttc!!! mmmmm....mind you I am on here at the moment instead of working so maybe that says it all!! And don't even get me started on the sulkig thing!!
Ok - other things to think about....how about Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp??

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 09:39

blimey Bella, sounds like you bounced out of bed this morning!!! cheery lady you. this morning i have already had fight with dh -its not good already today then. bugger men, bugger bugger,...ahem, sorry. hes just so wrapped up in work right now (git) that i cant seem to speak to him. and you know how ttc/after m/c is, you feel like youve moved so far in just a few hours thinking, that you want to share how you feel with someone. him actually. but theres no way we get round to 'deep' or 'intimate' conversations last few days, it all meaningless 'have got got.....' 'did you remember...' sort of talk. sigh. sorry...i'm being crappy and negative arent i? TOLD you had PMT. so dh sulking today and me angry........need to distract myself then. can you all post lots to fill my had with something else other than fighting with dh??? we're okay really, this happens everyso often with us. I tell dh i didnt like something he siad/did dh sulks for soo long i get mad, then we fight, then we clear the air and then its okay again........... as annoying as it is at this part of it, its got to be healthier than never saying what we think!!

Bella23 · 08/02/2005 09:00

Morning ladies !
Have been listening you all give very sensible advice about not testing until at least 5 weeks past m/c.......problem is I do not have the will power to wait that long!! I promise to really really try as I know I am just setting myself up for a fall, the thing is I feel like it has been almost 5 months and its only been 4 weeks so far.........AARRHH!!
Anyway enough obsessing so early in the morning!
Absolutely a christmas baby - please, please, please.
Yingers - I didn't realise you didn't have an ERPC, so how long has it been for you now? Be interesting to see when your AF arrives without an OP
DQ - yes also big on targets, drive myself mad with them but can't seem to stop myself.
Hereshopping - overnight on a boat to Ireland, that sounds like fun, as long as no sickness, fingers crosses
Positive energy to you all on this fine Tuesday morning

dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 00:23

ah yes, understand about the pressie thing, but it would be special for the labour part!!!LOL
i'm so bored tonight ladies, wish you guys stayed up later!!

yingers74 · 07/02/2005 21:46

Bella, if op means operation, yes am being a bit stupid, then I never had one, I got a lovely internal scan and was told that there was nothing left and sent home.

Drama, I am not sure I would want a xmas baby, as am one myself and getting joint presents is a real bummer. Of course if I got one i would give them an official summer birthday!!!!! Shame my mum didn't do that for me!

dramaqueen72 · 07/02/2005 20:43

ah yes, but six wks mean i have to WAIT and its not one of my strengths!!! still we'll see.
valentines day is quite likely to go by here without a murmur. aside from swapping of small gifts and me making something silly heart shaped for tea for entire herd. (we've had heartshaped pizza before.......)
hereshoping, fancy dec baby myself and thats cheering me on to next cycle (and the next) if this ones crap. around christmas would be icing on cake after s**t start to the eyar we've had. if I'm very honest with you guys, i would like a baby before the years out. i have set my self a 'target' (always a bad thing) of that. i know i know, doomed to fail but !!!

hereshoping · 07/02/2005 20:24

Dq 6 wks sounds right
im not even going to think about ttc this cycle though dh raring to go - need a break from the obsessing
also always fancied a december baby like myself...
anyone used persona before? dh got me one though never used ov sticks etc previously instructions look complicated
had nasty shock this am, friend with flu and her dh dropped their 3 kids off at 715 on his way to work. 6 to get breakfasted and to school - do I really want another?
bella enjoy weekend - Im actually travelling overnight on boat to Ireland on Valentines night with children - taking them to stay with my friend for half term
got a great deal on the fare and then realised why!

mishi1977 · 07/02/2005 18:04

DQ i would wait till 6 wks post op personally..only cos i know my af didnt turn up until over 5wks after. I think if it hadnt come by 6wks i would have tested

Bella23 · 07/02/2005 15:27

Yingers - when did you have your OP ? I just wondered when you thought AF might arrive?
On Wednesday it will be 4 weeks since OP so am going to try and forget about it until after the weekend. Am hoping being away will help me put off the urge that I want to test!
DQ - yes 4 weeks post op definately constitutes a test - I will literally will be foaming at the mouth wanting to do one this wednesday Gin.
Just to clarify ladies, in case you are thinking that my DH is a total darling and is whisking me off to Amsterdam for the weekend - not true I am afraid!
It was my idea, I booked it in October. DH is a sweetie but not as yet known for large romantic gestures like weekends away!
I too am a synic about the 14th and have said that if he wants to buy me flowers it must be on a date after the 14th as I think it is such a rip off to buy flowers marked up by at least 50% just because everyone else is!! Oh dear someone shoot me I am turning into my Dad!

happy monday ladies have been shopping today so is indeed happy monday (hmm... sounds like i spend most of my time shopping now i've mentioned it two days running.......oh wait! i do! ) tho today was shopping for new story books for dd, so not exactly glamerous....
Bella! amsterdam? how lucky are you? have a blast wont you? sigh, i think i've been married tooo long for valentines day to be a special big occassion. dh keeps telling me what a comercial rip off it is, and tho hes right (shhhhhhh! dont tell him!) i still appreciate it being marked by gifts/flowers/tokens of love.....LOL
Yingers, sorry about the neg opks too..having re-read my instructions with mine it does appear that i have already had my LH surge. tells me to start testing much earlier than i did. ah well. we either got the eggie this month or we didnt. not much i can do about it now! keeping up the bd-ing just incase of course! its a total mystery to me too when af will show. sometimes my cycles are 26 days sometimes 31, and with the surgery.well its anyones guess! will do pg test if af hasnt shown by 4 wks from surgery date i think. sound about right to everyone? like you all have said ALMOST a relief when af does show, at least i can count from then.
yes mishi, nice to have some time by ourselves isnt it? its bedlam here when everyones home at once, and tho thats nice, its very wearing! so mondays are my sundays dh has wednesdays off too.
hope your mondays are good too.

yingers74 · 07/02/2005 14:45

hello all,

Bella - hope u have a lovely time in amsterdam, would love to get away myself but money a bit tight so will have to leave it for now. Hopefully dh will take me out for dinner although am still waiting for him to take me out for my 30th which was in december!

And it would indeed be great if our bodies had personalised manuals, ttcing would be alot easier.

I am hoping my AF will arrive soon as then I will have some idea what is going on. Like others thought I was oing but sticks said no.

Bella23 · 07/02/2005 09:04

Morning all!
And HUGE WELCOME to hereshopping for officially joining this ttc thread - ye ha!
Fingers crossed that the bleeding stops soon, literally must be any day now I would think.
Well lunch went well, my best friend who usually can't stop talking about babies before she got pregnant was really great and only mentioned her pregnancy a little so it didn't dominate conversation. I think the more times I see her the easier it gets, just keep giving myself little pep talks about how my turn will come etc - well you've got to haven't you otherwise I'll go mad!!
Am off the Amsterdam on Thursday for a long weekend with DH for Valentine's so really looking forward to that! A change of scene is totally what I am craving at the moment.
Well AF should show her ugly head this week so will be trying to NOT think about that - ye right
DQ - Monday so you should be feeling happy!
