For those who want to look to the future and TTC again I would really like some support, advice etc.
I thought we needed a new thread with positive energy (yes have turned into chanting hippy) so that we feel we are moving forward rather than dwelling on what has already passed.
The only thing I can concentrate on at the moment is that next Wed is the day that me and DH can start trying again (this will be 2 weeks after ERPC).
Anyone else ready to try again?

heres- Ireland sounds good! fancy taking my lot with you to Ireland? more to the point anyone fancy night/day out in southampton? visit poor ol DQ?
had lovely night out with dh, good fun, meal with a little red wine too. had to snap right out of fun mood when we got home as all children still up (and manic) and granny had let them pretty much trash the house! gee thanks granny....... but i was good night BEFORE that! we spoke about ttc, and dh asked alot of 'technical' questions LOL about Cm and such. so funny to hear him ask such things. he spoke about how he cant wait to be pg again, and i just LOVE hearing him speak like that. makes it all seem more 'real' you know? not just me wishing and hoping!
side pain just about gone, what was that i wonder? (shrug)
wishing everyone a very good night and a good friday. dd1 has her entrance exam to her secondary school so wish her luck!
DQ..x

sorry, hereshoping, I meant to say: 'happy to pop in' to the ttc thread. To be honest, I'm still losing a little too and feel like I will be until the end of time at the moment !
Have a lovely time in Ireland.

hereshoping · 10/02/2005 20:52

girl im not in the ttc ring yet - only 2 weeks post op and still bleeding
also not ready to give up getting drunk and take it seriously for a week or two yet
dq - im taking my 3 to stay with my friend in Ireland for half term - must be mad to give dh house to himself and a rest dont know how ill cope without mumsnet fro a week!
bella enjoy amsterdam, when i went was on back of a tandem withdh when suddenly realised he was about to crash it into a canal - we were going past a red light corner and there was a vixen showing her wares in a window

dramaqueen72 · 10/02/2005 17:40

oh you ladies....funny girls
need advice, have PAIN, (as in ow, hurt, not as in niggle) on right side, low down, ovary/poss cervix pain i think. so whats that then????? cant surely be O (did late opk to test and its not a line at all) can it be weird af ain? never really had it just on right tho....ODD. it hurts tho, got better as day went on, had to take painkillers this morning for it. and no, of course i never mentioned it at the DRs today. any bright ideas would be helpful. could be i am falling apart?
Girl- try not to mention half term and the fact the 'big' children will be home, so will have herd here.. i may run screaming from the building. 13 and 10 yr olds are NOT easily occupied , unless you part with VAST sums of money. (and of course, in excellent timing, half term is the week before payday!!) thinking of sending just the big two to my mothers. my mother doesnt know this yet....LOL
love my 20mth old lots, she just wants to read stories and feed ducks! bless.

girlfromip · 10/02/2005 16:42

Good to hear everyone so busy and well, me too today, had a really good one starting to feel back to my old self almost.
Bella, give my love to the Dam. I love that place, have only been once but just loved it such gorgeous buildings and boats and bikes everywhere.
DQ what are you doing with your gang for half term? I'm taking ds to my m's for a few days change of scene.
Hereshoping, great to hear that you're happy to be on this thead too, it's definitely a really welcoming place for cheering up, cheering down (whenever you need to) and moving on unto the language of the
R i n g........ speak you it yet? I can't remember if I've heard you lapse into it yet. I'm learning it slowly from my book with demented blonde harpy on the front and from my sistergurus here under the protectorship of the Don DQ, she is my leader, I shall follow.

Bella23 · 10/02/2005 15:00

Arh Yingers - don't feel silly, those tests are just too tempting aren't they! Sometimes you just have to and that is all there is to it.

I bought the "You are what you eat" book and like you are upping the good stuff but if you followed it to the letter you'd never be able to eat in a restaurant or have anything lovely like cake, biscuits etc - not much of a life for me!

OP posts:
yingers74 · 10/02/2005 14:39

drama, LOL, someone metioned something about the ring in LOTR so i was referring to that! And I am also drinking more water and trying to be all round a bit more healthy, have got that book You are what u eat, there is no way I will be that healthy but at least I am managing breakfast now and eating more veggies! I am also also doing the whole vitamins and folic acid.

HS, gps often need a kick up the backside, so good for you. I think nurses exist because many doctors have no empathy skills.

bella - have a great time. I got those cheap pregnancy tests today and yes I could not help myself I tested, and of course it was negative. Feel a bit silly now.

dramaqueen72 · 10/02/2005 12:58

have a very good break Bella, hope its good fun!
yeah hereshoping, glad you told your gp off!! saw my gp today -a 'how is your head mentally after m/c' appointment, i had been dreading it, as go so patronising at times.
However, it was a GOOd appointment. go never uttered one word about ttc too early, she just told me to keep with the vitamins and folic acid. that was so nice of her, cause i know Drs arent generally in favour of ttc before at least one cycle. I'm doing very well apparently. i know it was just a chat sort of appointment but i felt great when i left. like i had a sort of seal of approval you know?

Bella23 · 10/02/2005 10:18

Morning Ladies.
Well off to Amsterdam tonight - ye ha !! Really looking forward to a few days break, hopefully can forget about looming AF and when I get back she will rear her ugly head!
Hereshopping - GP sounds a bit of a cold fish.
Anyway as you say onwards and upwards - the only way isn't it !!

OP posts:
hereshoping · 09/02/2005 22:48

bella - sorry about your result
girl - stay on this thread - im nowhere near ttc but find it a good way to feel im moving on
dq - im on the multivitamins - never had much truck with those but boots had a 3 for 2 so I thought id stock up - willing all those goodies to ripen up the eggs ive been told are getting on a bit
went to see GP today with ds1 who refused to listen to my anxiety that all not right with pg and would not send me for early scan. told him Id had mc - hoped he felt a bit guilty - and told him that consultant said he was to refer me for early scan next time. felt a bit bad but not too bad as he didnt even say 'sorry to hear that'
anyway got that rant off my chest, onwards and upwards...

Bella23 · 09/02/2005 16:39

DQ - no idea when AF is likely to show up, all this 4 - 6 weeks is CRAP! Totally unfair in my opinion! Keep having evil thoughts creep in my head today (probably as a result of testing this morning) of "what if I never have a baby" " what if I am the one it happens to and I have to watch all my friends have them without me" and "What will I do with my life if I seriously never have one"
Ok - they are all irrational thoughts, my sensible side is batting them away, but the little shits keep pestering there way in! Maybe I am a bit hormonal pre AF - hope so. BRING IT ON PLEASE!!
Sorry for slight rant, just got to admit your madness sometimes I feel, otherwise it stays in and really does drive you mad - well that is how I see it anyway.
Interesting on the water front, I struggle to drink as much as I should so will try and up that to see if it helps.

er...yingers, what the heck you talking about???? glad i'm keeping ebay in business, as long as there are still some tests for me to buy!!! good value tho arent they?!
so sorry about the negative test bella, but i hope you get a nice surprise the next one you do. whens af due for you do you think? (we must make some sort of stats list of everyone) i dont even KNOW when af should be here....... cant even begin to go on anything other than 4-6wks after surgery. which is one heck of a large time scale if your counting days.
dh behaving himself today, after we decided to make friends and be nice to each other today. spent a nice morning out with him (its his day off) so okay i forgive him we psoke briefly about both wanting very much to get pg next month (we're pretty sure we arent this month) and he said how much he wants the next baby. nice reassuring things to hear. so today i do love him....(sure as ever he will be a total GIT by next week agina LOL)
I have upped my water intake recently as heard that help make the right fertile cm. anything else i can do i'm right there doing it. i'd list it all but you write me off as absolutely crakcers... sigh. not obsessing you understand, just ...er.... covering all bases!! anyone want to tell me what their doing too so i dont feel crazy alone. please?!

yingers74 · 09/02/2005 14:35

Bella, sorry about the -ve, am sure i will be joining you soon. So far am still managing to hold out but am sure not for long as just got some of those cheap tests! yes last night i went straight across to ebay - how sad am I?

And watch out everyone, I have seen a orc lurking!! Don't let him get our precious.

Bella23 · 09/02/2005 08:57

Morning ladies
Well I cracked this morning and did a test and no great suprise it was a a huge whopping -ve!!
Right well could have had a better result but didn't get one so now just want AF to arrive so I can get on with next month! To be honest I felt a bit sad at the result but more than that I just felt a bit silly as I have no signs of being up the duff so don't know why i bothered testing - obviously just needed my fix!
Anyway - onwards and upwards - feeling like I am on a mission now to beat this baby making game!
GFP - sorry didn't mean to neglect you, will pop over to the other thread - can now bore you with ER plot as well - bet you can't wait!!
DQ - thanks for cheap tests - I shall stock up for next month's fix! Naughty DH - sulky boy indeed and apologising first so you would - oooooh steam out of ears time I would imagine when you heard that one!!

girlfromip · 08/02/2005 23:20

thanks dq! but I have to accept that I need to take on the secret language of the Thread or the 'Ring' and one day soon I shall know what opk means and whether it is to do with Orks or Mordor! don't worry about going over there seriously - maybe, dya think, some of them might, maybe come back [sheepish face]?!!!
Have a good night!

dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 23:11

ooh sorry Girl, no offence meant, didnt meant to 'leave you behind' I'm come and chat to you on old thread if you like its not easy pretending to be all laid back and calm about ttc-ing, and thankfully i can come her and go 'pg test, opks, cm, ....' and they all get me. dh thinks i'm weird. hes back sulking again by the way after todays appology. he apparently only said sorry so i would -WTF!??? at this rate there will be NO bd-ing ever anyhow girl coming over to bore you with this.....

girlfromip · 08/02/2005 22:42

ohmigod.... our old thread has totally gone quiet and you guys are all talking a completely foreign language - HELP!!!!!!!!!
Do you think I may have driven the whole thread away or bored them to death completely with my cold and technobiffery ?
But seriously, I am happy for you and even borrowed a book on fertility from the library and it's all talking the language you're talking and I can't understand a work arrrghhhhhhhh! Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!

hereshoping · 08/02/2005 22:34

yingers74 · 08/02/2005 22:09

LOL, am off to ebay now!!!!!!!!!

dramaqueen72 · 08/02/2005 21:09

Okay Bella i can indeed save you money and get you help testing earlywhilst looking on ebay, as the other girls suggested, i found this lady, she sells -same brand as my opks- ultra early (thats their name) pg tests. i got three for £2 something. and they are real, work, indate , etc etc,. she has lots on her sellers list. some buy it now and some auction. her ebay name is lookersgirl. they are the professional 'thin' sticks -just like opks- rather than great large plastic type from Boots which cost you £9!!!!!!!!!!!!! but they do tell you the same thing! (yes or no!)
stock up shall we?
ooooo mishis those ten test must be burning a hole sat there ready for next cycle! how exciting.
hope youre all having good evenings.

mishi1977 · 08/02/2005 20:45

pmsl ive got 10 tests sitting in the cupboard ready...i was waiting till six weeks post op but af turned up at five n half..lol

Bella23 · 08/02/2005 15:44

I shall second that!
At least we are keeping humour about it so its not that unhealthy I think.

OP posts:
yingers74 · 08/02/2005 15:10

i think we should change the thread name to 'the obsessed', i too have pregnancy tests which I could not stop myself buying. I try not to think about them. I am hoping that i will be strong and not test unless my AF does not arrive.

Bella23 · 08/02/2005 14:44

DQ - you are as bad as me !! Bad influence together I feel - YE HA!! Ok am going to test - but not until Thursday morning, need to hold off until at least then.
Glad DH has apologised - always great when that happens.
yes go on - feed my addiction, where did you get the tests as the one I've just bought from boots was nearly £9!!
