For those who want to look to the future and TTC again I would really like some support, advice etc.
I thought we needed a new thread with positive energy (yes have turned into chanting hippy) so that we feel we are moving forward rather than dwelling on what has already passed.
The only thing I can concentrate on at the moment is that next Wed is the day that me and DH can start trying again (this will be 2 weeks after ERPC).
Anyone else ready to try again?

NEW THREAD HERE

romilly · 01/03/2005 17:58

hey everyone - been on a work trip today so no mumsnet all day for me. not much time now either cause im out for a girly night. just wanted to say sorry mishi you are feeling a bit mis. i really do feel for you because, having just been there, it really is the most stressful time of ttc'ing. and yingers too, good luck on holding out on the testing. my advise is try not to - i know its bloody hard not to! - but chances are it probably is too early and you just make yourself more upset.

nice to have you back wendy! i'm impressed you caught up with the whole thread - dont think you missed much but its nice to know where everyones at, isnt it.

have a lovely (if slightly cold and wet!) evening everybody

Bella23 · 01/03/2005 14:32

Bonkerz - ye ha for joining us !! A new thread especially as it is the first of a new month is a great idea. I think you should do the honours and start it. Go ahead and we'll be straight there
Wendy - totally agree on the painting thing. I keep thinking to myself that I need to get it done before I get up the duff!!
I forgot to say White rabbits as its the 1st of the month!!! This month is going to be lucky for someone on this thread, I can feel it!

Afternoon All,
Mishi, sorry things are difficult for you at the moment but as my FIL keeps telling me when times are rough " Keep your chin up girl".
Yingers I know what you mean about the similarity between symptoms of af and pregnancy. When I was pregnant I was so sure that af was going to turn up that I didn't test until I was a week late - also proably because we were so sure that we couldn't conceive naturally. Somehow I seem to have lost that willpower and now test at the drop of a hat. Have just spent a glorious couple of hours catching up on all that has been happening on this thread. DQ the recepie sounds delicious -I spend quite a lot of time baking at the weekends so I will have to try this one out this weekend. Also can relate to all the painting everyone has been doing. We have just painted three bedrooms so don't really want to think about colour charts at the moment although the kitchen could really be doing with a coat of paint. Must be thoughts of spring that are keeping us all busy at the moment, although my theory is that I will do it now on the off chance that we are successful at theis ttc lark and then I couldn't rush about with a paintbrush and stepladder.

Bonkerz · 01/03/2005 14:17

Hi all again. Well now AF has arrived ive decided its time to move off the miscarriage thread and join you all here. JUST one question, can we start a new thread for us cos this ones so long and confusing!! Maybe one thats called TTC for the cautious!! just a suggestion.

yingers74 · 01/03/2005 13:58

Hello,

we do all seem to be having our ups and downs, but i guess that is the nature of ttc especially after a m/c. Mishi, i hope you are feeling a little better. I too am waiting to test, I think I have sore boobs too although i never had them with dd so am not sure exactly how they should feel!!!! And it is unfair that the symtoms of af are similar to pregnancy, whose idea was that?

Bella23 · 01/03/2005 12:43

Mishi - sorry you are having a rough time of it at the moment!
Try and just ignore others if they are bringing you down (I know that's not easy).
We are all here to hear about it if it helps xx

Am so fed up with things that it feels like im sinking into my depression again..sigh...i know it was way to early to test as am on cd 24/ 28-35 so really shouldnt even be thinking about it yet but have got sore boobs etc..why is af so similair to pg...oh well
will try and catch up later

Bella23 · 01/03/2005 09:33

Mishi - Hugs.
Seems like we are all taking it in turns to have a bit of a wobble. Yes as DQ said way too early to test so hang in there - easier said than done though I know
I am feeling a lot more positive today, all you lot really helped to get me back on track. Most of the time I am really positive but it doesn't half wear thin after a while doesn't it!!
Well hopefully OV has already happened, getting in a few more bding sessions just in case - am on CD 17. Am fingers crossing I am back to my 28 day cycle.
George have CAT you my e-mail address.

oh mishi I'm sorry. its too early for the test to be right. so hang in there!!!! I'm sorry some things are rough. ((hugs)) glad your kitchen is done tho, nice isnt it to have a shiney new one!
well, alittle early but dh and i have started the bding for the end of nov/early dec baby! woohoo! I'm off shopping in a mo, but will call in later to see how you all are, esp you mishi.. take care

mishi1977 · 28/02/2005 23:35

hi all
not having good day today so sorry no personals...dont know y but i tested tonight even though am not due af till at least sunday...sigh...having crap time with some stuff
although my kitchen is finished
take care

dramaqueen72 · 28/02/2005 23:17

ladies, hello!
yes wendy, the baking you missed is very important! its my fave hobby right now -when i'm upbeat i bake alot, then when i'm down i eat it all! fabulous!! I hope the appointment goes well. thinking of you.
bella, yes scroll waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down,(its a long thread huh?!) i found some stats for us ages ago.......something like..........there is only a 5% chance of getting pg the first cycle after a m/c. (ie; before that first af) but then our chances go right back up to 20%. and 20% chance of pg every month is EVERYONES chance. (new at ttc, never had a baby, never had a m/c, had a baby, had two babies... etc etc -they are all 20% a month chance of getting pg every month they try) so hang in there. youre going to be fine, and have a house full of children before you know it. you have a reg cycle, no 'cause' suspected behind your m/c, and are healthy ......so nothing standing in your way, i promise. (((hugs))) just alittle time and patience.
waiting -ha! i'm no one to talk, i'm so restless for the O ing, the bding, the testing...sigh, wishing my life away again!

george32 · 28/02/2005 21:58

Hi Wendy, you've missed out on a whole lot of baking, painting and exercise DVDs!!

Bella, forgot to mention, tried to cat you but you don't accept them!! Can you cat me & I'll send you my address across?
Have been searching for positive stats but I think you'll find that they are here on this thread all the time. I'm sure there are 2 people currently on this thread who can re-inforce positive vibes on having babies after m/c (DQ / Mishi can you help here??)
xxx

Bella23 · 28/02/2005 21:42

Thanks for positive words, just think I need to hear it sometimes as DH won't let me talk about the "what if" scenario.
Wendy, good to hear from you. Its sounds like a hard time at the moment with this month being the due time of your son. I'm not very good at saying the right thing over this kind of thing so will just say that i will be thinking of you and hope that helps. IVF appointment on the 9th March, fingers crossed.
George sorry to hear you are full of cold, there is so much going round at the moment!
Someone on here has to get a BFP really soon. I hope you are all having very loud chats with your ovaries as i think some of them aren't listening at the moment!

Hello Folks,
Sorry I have been missing for a while. We have been having some work done in the house and my computer has been packed away for a few weeks. Aslo our son would have been due this month so feeling really rocky at the moment.
I have total sympathy with you Bella at the moment. I am also having awful feelings about whether we will or won't have any more children. They do say that all good things come to those who wait, but I am getting tired waiting.
Romilly I work full time as well. I suppose as I don't have any family I don't really have an excuse not to.
It is going to take me ages to catch up on all that has been happening on this thread, just in case I don't have time could someone please let me know if there is anything important I have missed.
We have our first meeting with the IVF nurse on the 9th March. Feeling a bit aprehensive about this as IVF really is the last resort to achieving a pregnany and while I conceived naturally the last time the DR hasn't really given us alot of hope of achieveing another pregnany naturally.
Lets hope March brings better luck for all of us. Who knows we might even get out of making Christmas dinner if we time it right!

george32 · 28/02/2005 19:32

Hi all,
Hereshoping, dog eating birthday cake really made me laugh (bet you weren't laughing though!!). I've got this cold now too, been snuffling & sneezing all wk'end.
Rom, I work full time so no more baking for me for a while. Don't do anything domestic in the week - no baking / cleaning / ironing / cooking / washing, too knackered !!! Gets to Friday & the house looks like a bomb has hit it!!! Really must follow DQs example & get a cleaner in at some point.

Oh Bella, sorry your feeling a bit rocky today. Of course you will have children. I'll have to look up some stats for you but in the meantime remember, even though it has been a shocking experience, it is really common & something most women experience at least once in their lives. Don't fret - we will get through it and then probably be moaning about how knackered we are with kids and wondering why we had them!

Bella23 · 28/02/2005 17:42

Rom - I work full time - only manage the odd bit of baking, these days it is more to keep my mind occupied than anything else!
Ladies, need a few words of comfort, anybody got any statistics up their sleeve to make me feel better? My mind is playing awful tricks on me lately and I keep having mini panicks that I am never going to have children. I've been pregnant once so my chances of getting pregnant a second time are good aren't they?? I know I am being irrational but you know what its like when you keep haivng such negative thoughts!
Sorry to sound on a downer - think i just need someone to tell me something positive so that can stick in my mind instead of all this negativity.

hi all. i dont know where people get time to bake. this thread is starting to make me feel deeply inadequate - but LOL hereshoping at your dog!!

i know that dqueen, heres and yingers are SAHM's right? i think mishi is too? so who else works full-time...bella?? i think you do. george, i dont know about, and girlfromip ?? does anyone else wonder where wendy went? hope she's okay, havent heard from her for a while.

yingers - you said it for us all, terrifying - the whole thing! thats why i think its great that we have our own special ttc thread because everyone here feels the same mix of hope and fear.
we can all help each other thru it, right girls

hereshoping · 28/02/2005 12:15

morning all
thanks for good wishes
feeling more cheerful now though now got cold and ds2 home from school with same and looks dreadful
dh is pulling out all stops to be nice to me though which helps
had a disaster with baking bday cake - dog ate first attempt - bloody thing jumped up and ate half when iced and decorated
then dh made shit one that I had to throw away
then I made not so nice one that had to do
dq - your skills are required in our house!
af gone so when feel better its march and Im gonna go for it!

dramaqueen72 · 28/02/2005 11:28

omg, more spelling mistakes than ever.ah well, its monday, sorry

dramaqueen72 · 28/02/2005 11:27

yeah, can relate to the panic-y feeling about another bad scan and m/c. I find myself working out inmy head the time scalee for another missed m/c and when i could get pg after that....i feel i dont want to be back at the start of my ttc reace again........if you see what i mean. as nervous as i am to get pg, i'm fairly confident that part will happen. what freaks me out -if i let myself think about it- is the BEING pg , right at the start, when you cant do anything to help it stick, or be successful.IYKWIM. its def going to be bittersweeet the day we get our bfp. fabulous but scary. my knees go all funny thinking about it...
mishi, hows the kitchen? sounds good.
baking day paint is a cookie dough kinda colour its lovely. hows the walls coming along bella?
yingers try not to stress. if nothings here by the end of the week, one test will not hurt, nor make you gung ho with the tests! and we did get a bargain off ebay right??
hope everyones well...

Bella23 · 28/02/2005 11:11

Morning ladies
Yingers completely understand how you are feeling, I think everyone on this thread feels the same. I think you should perhaps test at the end of the week, its best to know either way.
Well not much else to report really, on CD15 so have been getting in lots of bding over the weekend. My cycle pre op was 28 days but first AF was 32 days so not really sure when to expect AF. I think i may work on the principle of 32 days and only test after that (you can remind me of that when i am trigger happy on the 28th day and want to test!)
Anyway hope everyone is well xx
