I am just embarking on this TTC business, and can see it's recommended to 'get busy,' so to speak, every day, or at least every other.
THIS IS CRAZILY NOT POSSIBLE!
Do I have the lowest libido on mumsnet? Am I just a lazy toad?
So - does anyone actually do it this often?
What's the most often you have managed in a month.
We have done it three times in 6 days (that's like a whole months quota all in one go!) and already it has become a joke. DH is (jokily) moaning that he is just being used! Does anyone manage to keep it more interesting than this?

I know all about this one... I can't help but think that there's no point in having sex because it doesn't 'work' (i.e. get me pregnant).. So there you go, all spontenaity and affectionat sex has gone out of our relationship and it's become a chore like the ironing. I wish more than anything that I could be excited about it, but I only ever am if you catch me in that brief time between having had a few drinks and being in the mood, and actually being in bed and not being able to keep my eyes open.. There just isn't the time and energy to have sex, surely?????

Add on top of that the wonderful 'mood-swing enhancing' drug, Clomid, and I want to bloody tear his head off, rather then tear his clothes off!!

this month we've done it on days 7, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 18 so far. This month it's not felt unspontaneous but really we should have tried on day 15 or 16 too. I ovulated day 14/15.

lostit - my DH has said that exact same thing - and its very hard to play the excited sex bunny when all you want is to be pregnant and all the bonking you have done so far has been fruitless FTC is an extremely cruel situation isnt it?

I am trying to get used to the idea it will never happen but my stupid brain continues to be stupidly hopeful even when I have had cycles between 23-56 days and DH has a very poor sperm count. Wish I could switch off the hope then the low when AF arrives might not be so bad.

I am probably managing it with my dh about 3 times a week.
Can,t get him going any other time he is feeling used.
He has it in his head I don,t want to do the deed because I love him, but because I just want his seed as he puts it.

We would start arguing if we didn't have sex every other day.

As long as you have sex around O you should get pg. If not you could always try increasing it

Naaaah! Every 2-3 days should be fine! And if you're feeling knackered, once you're sure you've ovulated (check your cervix / cervical mucus / temperatures) you can give it a break and get on with stressing about the 2ww and peeing on sticks
