Every day??!!!!??!!

I am just embarking on this TTC business, and can see it's recommended to 'get busy,' so to speak, every day, or at least every other.
THIS IS CRAZILY NOT POSSIBLE!
Do I have the lowest libido on mumsnet? Am I just a lazy toad?
So - does anyone actually do it this often?
What's the most often you have managed in a month.
We have done it three times in 6 days (that's like a whole months quota all in one go!) and already it has become a joke. DH is (jokily) moaning that he is just being used! Does anyone manage to keep it more interesting than this?

I am really glad I am not the only one! I am now 20 days into my cycle, and feel absolutley shagged out!!! We have managed it 12 times in 20 days, and it is getting harder for both DH and I to show enthusiasm (so I guess, in a way, it's getting softer for DH, not harder!! . I really hope this TTC lark doesn't take a very long time, as I definitely do not have the stamina for it!!
Glaskham, I am in awe! I think I might have managed the same once - when I was about 19 and actually found sex more fun and tempting than reading my book in bed!
Hulababy - I am loving your fact and might just do that from now on. I feel I have been excuded from gym or something - thankyou!!

BBL My's also in IT and in fact told me today that he opened the laptop to find it open on MN and purposefully decided to look away, as he realises I need a "space" in his words, bless him, to get my ttc thoughts out of my head (bet he's secretly glad that now I've discovered MN he's not the only recipient of my ttc ramblings )

Sorkycake I agree - I've wanted it more the more we've been having it and I think Dh is the same...though a glass of wine and Brothers & Sisters is v appealling lol (am glad my dh doesn't read this!)

Camp 2 definitely. At the moment give me a glass of wine and an episode of Brothers and Sisters over a night of shagging anyday (sorry DH - its not you, its me!). Oh my god do I really believe that? If you'd asked me ten years ago the answer would have been so different!

I honestly believe the less sex you have the less you will want it.

Conversely, the more sex you have the more you will want it.

Oh this thread is too funny ! We were at the once or twice a week stage when we started ttc and upping the amount was initially a struggle (so hard to find the motivation when tired from working, commuting etc!) especially as quite honestly reading in bed next to my dh is one of my (admittedly v boring!) pleasures. But definitely enjoying it more now, though last month I felt like we had a year's sex in one month and no BFP. Am taking it easier this month, so we both don't go mad lol

My fertility consultant recommends every 3 days for TTC; too often can cause problems, as can too infrequently.

LOL BeckyBendyLegs - I think DH would be over the moon if I get Up duffed as he can have a rest then! I never managed 6 times in a week never mind in 24 hrs!

I think there two distinct camps here: Manyshagsbraggers and I'mlessshagadelicthanyou. I am in camp 2 def.

Six times in 72 hours! Wow!!! Impressed.

Last time we were TTC DH and I decided to do it every day from the end of my period until two days before ovulation (apparently this helps tip the odds for a girl). After three nights I was just bored and tired (and having two boys already the only chance to do it was either before our dinner in the evening or after and if we did it before I'd get soooo hungry and if we did it after I'd be too tired!). We gave up after the third night and tried every other night instead. It's just too much like hard work! We did manage to concieve on the third month of trying and I think DH was quietly quite relieved... he didn't get any more love action for 3 months!

LOL terrier It'll be a close fight coz I think I'd win DH feeling very under pressure as I have to have this horrible sounding scan done soon and am shit scared!

Have tried every trick in the book to spice things up - but dh knows exactly what Im up to and I think he feels under pressure to perform - especially when he knows its ov time. I'll fight you lot for the title "lowest libido" - have never really been all that keen - unfortunately Im not gonna get my baby if I dont make a bit more of an effort!! Once I know ov definately over I completely give up!

we ahve sex a fair old bit.... around 4-5times a week... then every night over the period when i get EWCM.... but that doesn't feel too much for us... only the week before we decided to ttc we had sex 6 times within 72hrs!!! dont know how we do it still really!!!

but i'd say have sex your normal amount then the days you get EWCM.... then he'll only feel 'used' for a few days a month!!

even Df is fed up of it now.

i kinda wish he could dispense his sperm in the fridge on CD56 band i could use it over the month as and when required.

Df and i have been ttc#2 for 2 and a half years, i am bored bored bored of sex.

we ususally have sex evey day every other day during the first falf of my cycle, as much as poss over ov and then very little in the 10 days or so before my period.

sex isnt all that really, is it
