@gallopingkelpies ah, I see. Can you book in when you get back for a check up?

I had some surgeries and my ovaries were damaged so I was given clomid, not in the UK, to make sure I was ovulating. The gynae was fine about me not being monitored this month but its typical that things haven’t been quite ‘normal’ this month..

SureLook · 09/08/2025 23:38

@gallopingkelpies hello and welcome! Why are you on clomid? Are you attending a fertility clinic?

@ChaE05 definitely a good idea to keep an eye but I'd mention it to the fertility clinic either way.

@ForGiddyDreamer sounds like you had a lovely evening.

gallopingkelpies · 09/08/2025 22:10

@ChaE05possibly! I’m on my 3rd clomid cycle and I definitely ovulated after day 12 with previous cycles. I’m abroad this month so not being monitored though so who knows what’s happened!

Sorry to hear AF is properly here. I had spotting days before my period was due with previous pregnancies so I was hoping it would be good news for you! Next months ❤️

ForGiddyDreamer · 09/08/2025 21:00

Glad to hear she's on her way (probably only time I'll say that to you!). I'm not bad except every wee tinge sets my heart racing! Sitting with my non alcoholic gin and tonic, face full of cream and a hair mask on. I'm sure DP thinks I look gorgeous 😂

ChaE05 · 09/08/2025 20:10

@ForGiddyDreamerI've had alot more bleeding and cramps this evening so feels like it's coming in full flow now. I'm hoping it was a one off but il keep an eye next month and mention it to the fertility clinic.
Wow your period was so late ! Just shows you what stress can do.
Hope you're okay xx

ChaE05 · 09/08/2025 20:07

@gallopingkelpieshey and welcome 🥰
Ovulating on CD9 can be right! I think 14 is an average but very few actually ovulate then. I actually ovulate much later on CD19/20.
Could it be you haven't been timing intercourse correctly If you didn't realise you ovulated early? Did you have any EWCM? Xx

gallopingkelpies · 09/08/2025 19:12

Hi ladies!
Currently on day 15 of cycle but according to ovulation tests I ovulated on day 9. Can that be right?! It’s the first month of tracking and I went from a blank circle to peak overnight.
Been TTC baby #3 since Christmas and slowly losing hope that it’s going to happen for us. Ttc is such a mindf*! I promised myself I wouldn’t turn into a ttc psycho but I’m definitely there..

ForGiddyDreamer · 09/08/2025 18:19

@ChaE05 I tend to spot the day before, usually in the evening. 4 days seems to be a one-off for you so it's maybe nothing to worry about as it's not a trend. And your tests were good! As above, it could be stress or emotions. I remember you said you were quite upset in the days leading up to it, that might have contributed?

Edit to add. Stress does mad things to your cycle. In October, when we weren't trying my period was 11 days late. I had been commuting from England to Ireland because we'd nowhere to live yet. I remember doing a test in the airport bathroom 🙃 The stress of the flying, new job on top and trying to find somewhere to live completely threw me off.

SureLook · 09/08/2025 13:41

@StayingHopefulx ah, that's a bit trickier then. When do you think you might test? Thanks for the kind words ☺️

@ChaE05 I've not had spotting pre period. I just tend to get full flow when it's due. I've also heard that it can be a sign of low progesterone but if you've had yours tested and it's been OK then I'm not sure to be honest. How have the stress levels been this month?

OP posts:
ChaE05 · 09/08/2025 08:54

Ladies...just wondering if any of you experience spotting before AF?
My luteal phase has been 11 days for quite a few months now. But after the 11 day I usually have 2 days of sporting before heavy flow.
This month my spotting came 2 days early and it's now day 4 now of spotting and no proper flow. It's worrying me because every fertility podcast I've listened to they all say spotting is not normal and usually a sign of low progesterone! But I've had progesterone tested twice now and it's been good!

ChaE05 · 09/08/2025 08:46

@justkeepswimming2701welcome and really sorry to hear of your losses 😪 wishing you all the luck for this cycle x

@StayingHopefulxwelcome!! Lots of luck this cycle! Tbh I usually don't test until a day before period or day of to avoid days of disappointment x

Hey @LilacBow45sorry to hear of your mmc 😔 pleased that your cycles seem to be regulating! That's great. Sending baby dust x

ChaE05 · 09/08/2025 08:39

@ForGiddyDreamerI'm so happy for you, this is great news. I hope you feel relieved and can relax (a little 😉) xx

StayingHopefulx · 08/08/2025 23:53

@SureLook thank you! I think I’m about 7/8 dpo! Didn’t test this month and cycle has been very irregular so can’t be too sure! Sorry to hear you’ve had upset, it’s hard!

SureLook · 08/08/2025 23:43

@justkeepswimming2701 sorry to hear of the chemicals ❤️

@StayingHopefulx hello and welcome! How many dpo are you now? I tend to wait until 12dpo as it's more definite and doesn't give you false hope. I really upset myself before by testing early.

@LilacBow45 hello and welcome! Sorry to hear of the MMC. I was also ovulating later in my cycles after my MMC but it then settled. Delighted yours is the same!

Hi all! First time posting in these TTC threads.

30, TTC #1. We had a MMC in May after unexpectedly finding out we were pregnant. I’ve been on the pill for 8 years so trying to learn my cycle again following that and the MMC.

I’m currently CD 12 and for the first time have positive LH tests and a big fat smiley on clear blue when I should! The last 2 cycles have had my peak 2/3 days before aunt flow had arrived so CD 23 to 26.

StayingHopefulx · 08/08/2025 21:16

Just to ask, when do people plan to do tests, how many dpo? I can’t remember how long you have to wait

StayingHopefulx · 08/08/2025 20:59

Hey everyone, new here but found this so helpful when TTC baby #1. currently TTC baby #2, think we maaaay have just missed the window this month but also unsure, having light cramping today which I remember having soon after conceiving baby 1 but trying not to symptom spot!!! Sending you all baby dust ✨

justkeepswimming2701 · 08/08/2025 19:52

Hi, I'm on cycle 2 of TTC #3, about to start cycle 3. First two cycles ended with chemicals (still waiting for AF to show after this chemical). It took 6 months to conceive my first DD and 9months to conceive my second DD so was never expecting it to be quick this time, but always hopeful. Was particularly disappointed about the chemical this month. Baby dust to all!

SureLook · 08/08/2025 19:17

@Muddysocks1 yes, in a way you'd prefer that something be wrong so that you can treat it rather than unexplained.

@ForGiddyDreamer sounds good. Just take it day by day.

@NatalieSF nice to see you again!

Hey 👋🏼 we are in cycle 3 of TTC after a 34 week loss in February. CD14 and at peak today. Been taking coq10 and naitre supplements. Received information that I have an under active thyroid so hoping it doesn't effect our chances 🙈

Sending baby dust to all ❤️

ForGiddyDreamer · 08/08/2025 15:57

Thanks all 😊Yes, relieved that the levels doubled between tues and thurs. Taking that as a 'win' today and that the pregnancy continues. As most of you know, after a few losses you just can't relax into 'I am pregnant, hooray!' mode. I see the doctor next week around the 5 week mark. Using that as my next milestone.

SureLook · 08/08/2025 14:28

@Muddysocks1 I know what you mean. I'd like to think they'll do something for you. Otherwise what's the point in being referred? And we've all heard the stories of BFPs after a hycosy 🤞🏻

Yes definitely!! Almost hopefully is “found” in investigations so it can be treated rather than just unexplained, but we’ll see what happens 🤞🏻

FarAwayBird · 08/08/2025 14:43

Hey @Muddysocks1 and @Taysonic I’ve been wondering how you were both doing. Good to see you back.

@ForGiddyDreamer that’s great news. I hope the waiting game doesn’t drive you too mad!
