Hey all, so sorry just catching up with everything!

@Hopeandfaith1990 so glad to hear your transfer went well, and that you have this week off - I cannot imagine teaching throughout all this!! I have absolutely everything crossed for you this time ❤️

@Jecca88 that’s such brilliant news - one step closer! Keep taking each day as it comes.

@Gems2811 so sorry you’ve had such a horrible time of it, that sounds really painful and distressing. I haven’t heard of that happening after surgery, but I only have my personal experience to go on, so I’m glad EPU could reassure you it’s normal. What’s the next step for you, preg test in a couple of weeks? I really hope it all resolves quickly.

@CarpeDiem75 I’m sorry, that’s so frustrating. I don’t have any experience except to say my NHS RMC used to say to take pred from BFP, but only because that was when they could authorise it - they would have wanted me to take it earlier but weren’t allowed to. Under CRP I have taken it 1-2 days after ovulation.

@pagey23 also sorry you’ve been going through this! Superovulation sounds like a good idea. Have CRP said anything about it?

Love to everyone Xx

Gems2811 · 09/11/2025 15:29

Good luck @Hopeandfaith1990 , glad the transfer went smoothly xx

Hopeandfaith1990 · 08/11/2025 14:07

Thank you @Deerdancer34 🩷🩷

@Gems2811 so sorry you’ve had such a rough time of it. I once had a similar experience with the contractions in a MC, it was awful. I hope your HCG lowers quickly and you feel a sense of closure.

@CarpeDiem75 I don’t know how they’d ever prove that Pred impacts implantation, not saying that it doesn’t just how would they know. I came to this conclusion with Hydroxy although Pred is much more widely used. It’s used very commonly in IVF cycles now, so I feel like they must think it’s relatively safe. Do you usually fall pregnant quickly? If you do then there might be something in it, but for me 5 months is not a long time when I’m TTC, it takes me on average 5-6 months between pregnancies I think. Obviously everyone is different.

@pagey23 super ovulation sounds like a good idea, especially if it takes you a little longer to fall normally.

Hope everyone’s okay - I am once again PUPO. Transfer went very smoothly and I’m hoping/praying/wishing/crossing everything SO much that it works this time. Love to all. Xxx

hi @CarpeDiem75I’m also interested to know - I’m going into cycle 9 and had nothing! (Though for me it takes me ages to fall pregnant). I haven’t done super ovulation yet as the timings haven’t worked out with travel etc. but might try in December. What are your next steps after this cycle? I’m in despair and wondering what to do if this doesn’t work out….

CarpeDiem75 · 08/11/2025 13:10

Hi all, so I am doing my last cycle of letrozole on Dr S immune plan… probably the last one as I don’t think I enjoy taking all these pills.. I used to be able to get pregnant but we have tried for 5months and nothing and heard that prednisone can stop implantation. So because it is my last cycle I was tempting to take the meds only from bfp (if it happens!) has anybody done it? Didn’t speak to the clinic but because it is the nhs I prefer not to say because I know they will say No lol. Thanks!

Deerdancer34 · 07/11/2025 22:16

@Jecca88 What super news! Every day is a step forward in the right direction 💞

@Hopeandfaith1990 Best of luck for tomorrow 😘😘😘

@Gems2811 I'm sorry its been so rough for you, hopefully it's all over, so you can regroup and move forward 💗

Lots of love 💓

Gems2811 · 06/11/2025 17:39

That's such good news @Jecca88 , and that the bump has gone too! So lovely to see the baby on the monitor, what a feeling!

I'm feeling better now thank you but it's been rougher than I expected to be honest. A couple of days after my procedure I had nearly 24 hours of excruiating contractions, 4-5 minutes apart and to the point that I had to moan through them, they were through the night and too painful to sleep through. I passed some tissue the next day and so I'm not sure if that's what was causing them or if this is even normal, EPU seemed to think it was. I'm hoping it's all over now and my HCG returns to zero soon xx

Hopeandfaith1990 · 06/11/2025 07:27

Yay @Jecca88 that is so amazing - doubly so for the bump disappearing!! 🩷 keep putting oen foot in front of the other and take it minute by minute, it’s all you can do really. I hope the scan relief at least lasts a few days if not longer. Xxx

Jecca88 · 05/11/2025 22:28

Thank you @Gems2811 :) how are you doing my lovely?

@Hopeandfaith1990 glad you got some rest last night, 5am is still early, tbf. I woke up at 4am this morning and just lay awake for hours ruminating on what was going to happen today.

Luckily we had a good scan - saw a proper little baby on the scan today with a strong heartbeat and the sub chorionic bump is gone. Feeling hopeful but know i need to get through our biggest challenge of the NIPT in a couple of weeks :(

sending love to everyone.

Hopeandfaith1990 · 05/11/2025 12:36

Thanks angel @Jecca88 I actually got into bed at 8.30 last night and slept through to 5am, feeling like a new woman. Haha yes I am using my chart but I’m surprisingly blasé / chilled this time. I think cos I went so OTT last time and was so anal with the meds and everything yet it still didn’t work I’m a bit like 🤷‍♀️ who knows.

Can’t wait for those Maccies fries.

sending you all the love and luck for the scan today. I feel your words deeply. I am so ready and excited to be pregnant again but equally I know I will find it so anxiety inducing. It’s literally on your mind 24/7 isn’t it. I’m so impressed with you for keeping going, even if that’s all your feel you are doing it’s still commendable after everything you’ve been through. Xxx

OP posts:
Gems2811 · 05/11/2025 11:06

Sending love for your scan today @Jecca88 , the anxiety is absolutely overwhelming, I empathise completely xx

Jecca88 · 04/11/2025 20:32

@Hopeandfaith1990 oh love hope it calms down, my first couple of days on it were awful too! Now I don’t really notice it but wake up super early and can’t seem to sleep past 6.30 anymore. I try to take the pred before 9am. Pillow mist, hydrating and essential oils too! How you feeling about the FET? I think that’s good you are having a week off - can’t even imagine having to teach with all that on my mind. Are you doing your usual routine? An egg a day? Mc Donald’s chips after transfer? Thinking of you lovely.

got my 8 1/2 week scan tomorrow with dr edge, i am basically having a scan a week now and my nerves are in tatters. I am so grateful I get pregnant so easily, but I honestly hate it - the anxiety is just so overwhelming. Mixed with hormones, meds, and just everything - I don’t know how I am still putting one foot in front of the other. Xx

Rainbowchaser87 · 04/11/2025 19:59

@Fletchasketch praying for your heart darling….❤️‍🩹🫂

Hopeandfaith1990 · 04/11/2025 18:44

Hi all, hope everyone is okay. I'm doing my next FET this Saturday! I started Pred again on Sunday and WOW have I not missed that. Barely slept Sunday & Monday night - going to put myself to bed at 8pm tonight to try and get some hours back. If anyone has any reccos to help with this please throw them my way! I already take magnesium and use the magnesium sleep spray. Usually I take melotonin but trying to wean off ahead of the transfer. So tempted by chugging night nurse haha.

Also started Fragmin injections for the first time which are sore. I've got my GP to sign me off for a week next week, feels awful missing school but my anxiety is so bad I don't even think I'd be able to teach properly post-transfer.

How is everyone?

Sending love @Fletchasketch no need to reply but just know we're thinking of you xxx

Jecca88 · 02/11/2025 09:54

Oh my love @Fletchasketch as if you can take any more! This is so incredibly hard. I am so sorry to read this. Our last MC with CRP made it to 12 weeks to the day and we didn’t do the NIPT. Found out after genetics it was Down syndrome and realised that lots of babies with downs don’t make it to birth. It was heartbreaking and can’t even imagine if I would have known it and had to make all the decisions ahead. Take all the time in the world. We are here for you whenever you need us. I’m just so sorry. X

MC8 · 01/11/2025 21:13

@Fletchasketch I’m so sorry, what a huge shock for you both. We’re here for you whenever you need and whatever you decide. I’ll be thinking of you and sending so much love and strength as you process it all. Xx

TammyinCork · 01/11/2025 19:32

@Fletchasketch Wishing you lots of strength, no matter what you and your partner decide. It sounds like Dr Edge has been very supportive throughout - I think CRP are lucky to have her. Please know that we are all thinking of you...

Gems2811 · 31/10/2025 10:58

What a shock for you and your partner @Fletchasketch I’m so sorry you’re faced with a difficult and deeply personal decision. We’re here for you no matter what and will be thinking of you if you take a step back from writing. Sending love xx

Hopeandfaith1990 · 31/10/2025 10:32

@Fletchasketch I’m so sorry you’re faced with such a difficult decision and situation especially after an incredibly challenging journey, it’s so unfair. My heart goes out to you and your partner. Whatever decision you make, we are here for you. Sending you love.

@Fletchasketch Sending you lots and lots of love and strength with however you decide to go forward. Talk and research... I don't know if you have seen Ellie on Strictly but I find her very inspiring 💞 Its a very personal decision, so take your time 💓

@MC8 and @Gems2811 I hope you are ok and recuperating well. Much love to you both ❤️

Fletchasketch · 31/10/2025 07:43

Man, do I feel foolish now writing that last post. About an hour later we had an email from the CRP asking us to take a call from Dr Edge. We had an agonizing few hours where I rushed home to be told that our NIPT had come back positive for Down Syndrome. We will go for additional testing, but she was very clear that it was highly likely to be accurate and everything I've read online backs this up.

Hard to believe how happy we were just 24 hours ago and am utterly terrified of everything that lies ahead and the inevitable awful decision. I will probably step away from this thread for a little bit at least, if I don't get back to you thank you all for your solidarity, your advice and mostly, your kindness. This is the most awful journey and you have all made it a little bit easier. I am rooting for each and every one of you that you get your happy endings.

Fletchasketch · 30/10/2025 13:35

@Gems2811 I am so sorry you're going through this and that the surgery has left you feeling rubbish. I hope you're able to get lots of rest and take as long as you need off work. I found that two weeks was the absolute minumum I needed to feel human again, so hope you have that option. Sending lots of love.

@MC8 glad to hear yours went well and that this part is at least behind you. Hope your test results come back sooner rather than later.

I've just had my NHS scan come through, which would mean three scans in three weeks, thankfully I spoke to them and they're happy to accept the CRP scan. A big relief as I don't think my shattered nerves could take that many scans in short succession. It is thankfully starting to get a little easier as 12 weeks approaches. Thanks to everyone for your good wishes and sending love to everyone going through a rough time xx

MC8 · 30/10/2025 12:44

@Gems2811 ah, glad yours is over now too. I'm so sorry you've been struggling with after effects and hope it settles down soon. Mine went fine thank you, they've sent it off for testing (approx 6 week wait for me). Couldn't fault the doctors, nurses etc. everyone really lovely. My old RMC consultant actually did the procedure so it was good that I could meet him beforehand and tell him about my protocol at CRP. Didn't get much of a gauge on his thoughts on it all, but let's see what happens next.

That's so frustrating that your endo took so long to be diagnosed and you were repeatedly dismissed - its such a common story and so unfair. I'm glad it's all sorted now though, and hope the break will allow you time to rest and decide how to move forward once you get your results.

@Hopeandfaith1990 That's brilliant news, you must be so relieved - best of luck for tomorrow!

@Jecca88 @Fletchasketch So happy to hear both your scans went well! Will be thinking of you next week with the NIPT results / 8 wk scan.

@Deerdancer34 I'm so sorry. It's incredibly tough and such a relentless cycle to pick yourself up and go through it again. Totally normal to feel resentful - I have all those feelings too.

@Rainbowchaser87 thank you, yes I am ok - a bit on edge with good days and bad days, but overall ok. I'm glad to hear therapy has been helping you. I'll book my appointment soon :)

Lots of love to everyone and thank you for all your wishes xx

Gems2811 · 30/10/2025 11:00

@MC8 , I hope you went okay yesterday, that it wasn't too too awful and they've processed the testing for you. I had mine done yesterday as well, I managed to get in at another hospital. Thinking of you today and hope you're being looked after. I found it quite tough on the body, I woke up vomiting in the night, I guess from the anaesthetic.

@Rainbowchaser87 yeah I took everything I'd been prescribed from CRP, the only thing I didn't do were the intralipids. Definitely @Deerdancer34 ! It all feels so trial and error! I was having Fragmin injections aswell with the clinic, so I took those the whole time too, my stomach is in bits. I'm sorry you had a negative this month, it's so tough when each cycle is so much effort with the protocol

Congrats on the scan @Jecca88 , that's just the best news! Dr Edge is great isn't she. Yes that's just like what happened with me! Thankfully I have some embryos stored, some are PGTA tested and some aren't. No known euploids, but two low level mosaics, one is chaotic, and so now I really don't know what to do, try a transfer or do another collection. I've been trying to educate myself on low level mosaics. They said it will take 5 weeks for the genetic testing on this loss and so that might help me navigate whether it was chromosomal or immune related. The endo has been resolved but I think the best window they say is 6 months after it and mine was in August..

Brilliant news on your scans too @Fletchasketch . Rooting for both of you! And anyone I've accidentally missed xxx

Fletchasketch · 29/10/2025 07:52

@Jecca88 brilliant news! Honestly, so so pleased for you. It must have felt like such a relief that Dr Edge wasn't concerned about the bump. Honestly, she is SO wonderful- I actually postponed my 10w to this week because she was off and if it was bad news I knew she'd have made it as easy as possible. At the same time she seems genuinely delighted about the good news too which is so lovely. NIPT results will take 5 days, so should have them by this time next week.

@Hopeandfaith1990 thank you so much, I love it how we are all rooting for each other here. I have everything crossed for you for next month x

@Deerdancer34 oh rubbish, I am sorry to hear this.I know exactly what you mean about the process- it is just wild all the hoops we have to jump through and the endless pills we have to take. Will be worth it in the end.

@MC8 All the best for today, I hope you're well looked after. Will be thinking of you and hoping that this is the last time you have to do this.

Lots of love to all x
