@twobabiesandapupoh wow ! You are very fertile 🤣🤣 bet that has been beautiful but hard work xx

ChaE05 · 01/08/2025 16:31

@Wingingitlifewelcome! Did you cave and test again today? 🤞

Wingingitlife · 31/07/2025 14:45

Hey! 👋🏼 I am currently 11dpo (I think), app reckons my period is due today but I think I might have ovulated late so I’m not sure. I did cave and test a couple of days ago (9dpo) and it was negative but I think it was probably too early anyway. Technically my first proper cycle since iud removal so I don’t know fire sure what my cycle lengths are like. Might do a test tomorrow 😬

twobabiesandapup · 31/07/2025 14:39

@ChaE05of course! So my first was born the month after I came off the depo injection, I hadn’t actually had a full period yet so didn’t think my fertility had returned to normal yet but clearly it had! It was actually 7 months after I’d been told I had polycystic ovaries as well so felt like a bit of a miracle. And then my second was actually conceived whilst I was on the mini pill 9 months after my first was born. We had planned to wait 18 months until trying again so she was a very happy accident 😂

ChaE05 · 31/07/2025 14:26

@MixedBananasyes I'm tracking over here and I'm pretty regular with ovulation and also get EWCM. I think I need to give this SMEP! I've heard good things. I'm currently 4dpo on my 9th cycle 🫠 usually I'm very positive each cycle but I just feel very negative and already counted myself our this month x

ChaE05 · 31/07/2025 14:22

@twobabiesandapupaww thank you so much for sharing! And a huge congratulations to you 🥰 can I ask how long it took you to concieve both? X

MixedBananas · 31/07/2025 13:01

I am 38 and TTC my 3rd. Had my 1st at 34, 2nd at 37 and we started TTC very early this time as my clock be ticking!
Are you doing any tracking. I love using Fertility Friend with OPKs and BBT. My 1st full cycle using them. But this month has been a shambles. Everything that could get in the way of BD happend and we only BD day of first Positive OPK and day after. I hope that is enough.
With my previous 2 we did Sperm Meets Egg Prpgramme and BD exactly as the Programme says and got pregnant right away. This cycle was hectic and Next month we are away during my fertile week!!!! And traveling on peak day 🤮😭 so I hwve very little confidence....

BabyBorn · 31/07/2025 12:44

@ChaE05I took them for my first two pregnancies too. I didn’t have any problem with them but I haven’t taken them for over 13 years! Can’t do right for doing wrong can you! 😂😂

twobabiesandapup · 31/07/2025 12:29

I’m a 1986 baby as well! Wishing you all lots of luck and deepest sympathies to those of you who have suffered sad news 💔 I had my first at 37 and my second a month ago at 39 so there is definitely hope for fertility in your late 30s!

Wishingforfour · 31/07/2025 12:15

@ChaE05 I'm also 4dpo I think! Next week is going to drag a bit isn't it 🤣

ChaE05 · 31/07/2025 11:51

@BabyBornto be honest I've never had an issue with them. I took them before my son, the whole way through and also switched to the breastfeeding ones after. So I've been taking them for over 2 years now! I didn't realise they had bad press until I saw so many people moaning about them. Apparently can delay your cycle? Maybe that's why I don't ovulate until CD 18/19 🤣 yes... I'm really good with my food. I just take these to make extra sure lol xx

BabyBorn · 31/07/2025 11:36

Forgot to add, thanks! I’m feeling ok about it. Sometimes these things are not meant to be. I’m CD7. I’m trying to stay positive with the thought that you are supposed to be more fertile after a miscarriage 🙏🤞 Hopefully August will be a good month for you! X

BabyBorn · 31/07/2025 11:33

Hi @ChaE05no worries! How do you feel on the Pregnacare? I’ve heard they are not very good and get lots of bad press. Trying to get most of my vitamins from my diet. I’m taking Ubiquinol, vitamin E, D3, omega 3 and Methylfolate. Leave the rest to my diet because I feel like I’m taking more than enough 😬😆 Hopefully we will get some positives from it soon!! 😀 x

ChaE05 · 31/07/2025 11:18

@BabyBornso sorry for late response! I missed this message. I take pregnacare, coq10, high dose VIT D, Magnesium, omega 3. I also take high dose vit c, b6 and b complex...these 3 to lengthen my luteal phase.
I'm also so sorry for your loss. Big hug to you xx

Where is everyone at in their cycle? I think I'm 4dpo xx

BabyBorn · 26/07/2025 12:41

I also started yoga 6 weeks ago which I love and really helps with stress. I lost my nan 6.5 weeks ago so to find out I was pregnant was a huge shock. It came at the worst possible time when I was grieving and really stressed, that’s why I started the yoga and guided sleep meditation classes there x

BabyBorn · 26/07/2025 12:38

Hey @ChaE05what supplements are you taking if you don’t mind me asking? We haven’t no. We already have two children together and I have an older daughter from a previous relationship. He’s really healthy and eats really well. He takes vitamin D3 high dose and omega 3. We decided to not get his sperm tested and just keep trying. The thing is, my husband is 59 this year too. So we are probably silly not having done it but we didn’t want to put pressure on ourselves. I think it’s my eggs that is the problem if I am honest. My diet is on point at the moment too. Started more of a Mediterranean diet around 3 weeks ago. No bread, potatoes, pasta or processed food. Cooking fresh chicken and fish, vegetables, olive oil, eggs and fruits. Feel really good for it and lost a couple of Lbs and my bloating has disappeared. X

ChaE05 · 26/07/2025 12:23

@BabyBorni know... it's hard when we are older to catch a good egg! I'm the same...really working on egg quality. Changed my diet alot and upped my supplements. Just need to work on stress 🫠 its good you have regular cycles, thats really positive. Has your partners sperm been tested? I would really recommend that. We are quick to blame ourselves due to age...but male factor contributes massively xx

BabyBorn · 26/07/2025 12:19

Thanks @ChaE05i actually thought this one would be 3rd time lucky!! 😩 Anyway, just going to keep trying. Yes I had investigations last year, well, blood tests. They all came back within the normal range. I have regular cycles and tend to always ovulate on the same day every cycle. I think it’s just a matter of getting the healthiest egg at the point. Quite a lot of our eggs aren’t good quality at this age, that’s why miscarriage is more common the older you get. X

ChaE05 · 26/07/2025 12:05

@BabyBorni am so sorry 💔 sending love and strength to get you through this. 3 MC...one alone is so tough. Have you had any investigations yet? Xx

ChaE05 · 26/07/2025 12:04

@Wishingforfourin my personal experience just don't hang around as these things take so long. Honestly, despite having children already if you have been trying for over 6 months past the age of 35 they will start investigations. Just tell a little porky. My GP has been good but the whole process has taken a few months. I have been trying to concieve for 9 months but after my 2 losses I spoke to the GP and said it's been over 6 months of trying and they immediately did a panel of bloods and booked me in for bloods on day 2-5 of my cycle. Plus a progesterone test at 7dpo. And they also sent me for a pelvic interal ultrasound. OH was also sent to hospital for semen analysis but we ended up going private for that as the wait was 2 months. I've had all tests done now that GP can offer and now they are going to refer me to the fertility clinic. If you feel like something is up with your cycle I would definitely get the ball rolling. Sending love 🩷

BabyBorn · 26/07/2025 12:00

Thanks @Wingingitlifesometimes these things are not meant to be 😢 it is pretty rubbish but I am going to keep going. I am going to work on my egg quality now, given my age. Hope you manage to get your BFP soon! X

Wishingforfour · 25/07/2025 14:05

@ChaE05 I usually have really regular 28 day cycles and obvious ovulation pain but the last 2 cycles I haven't had the pain and my period was randomly 7 days late this month! It's actually what's pushed us to start TTC our 4th now as we were both a bit disappointed at the negative pregnancy test when I was late. Also realise we may not have the luxury of time to complete our family.

I would definitely get some fertility blood tests done but not sure they'd offer it on the NHS if I already have 3 children? And would probably wait a few cycles TTC to see before paying privately.

ChaE05 · 24/07/2025 13:22

@Wishingforfouroh no...why do you think that? Maybe look into blood tests with GP x
