Hello! FINALLY getting round to replying properly. Sorry! 🫣

@YKM2829 I’m so sorry for the way you were treated. I’d really seriously consider complaining.

I’m also a PMDD sufferer. I think having my first baby triggered it. It started as postnatal rage, I think. My irritability makes me feel like a monster sometimes. I have a lot of shame around it, despite having had counselling. It’s so interesting what you said about the copper coil. I’ve also had one since my first baby was born 3 years ago. I also have a short luteal phase. I’m going to read into this more!

I might try angus castus - thank you for the suggestion! And @Another5am I think you mentioned it, too.

@SureLook I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I’m sure a baby would bring your whole family joy at a difficult time - but that’s also a lot of pressure on you ❤️ That’s hard about your MMC baby. It’s so easy to think ‘if only…’ I hope you get your rainbow soon! Keeping everything crossed for you this month!

@EmPeEf How are you doing? I know you’re off on hols today. I hope you have a nice relaxing time! ☀️

@ForGiddyDreamer How’s your pup doing? I remind myself that people get pregnant in all sorts of conditions so hopefully the stress won’t make too much difference. Hard not to worry about worrying though!

@DoubleDandelion @Esssa Yep! Also 5dpo here. It’s constantly in the back of my mind but I do have a work event on Saturday that I’m really nervous about - so that’s kind of distracting me for now! What day will you test?

Apologies for the essay!
Will probably double post when I realised I’ve forgotten things I was going to say…

Tbh you could be right there, as I had pnd after my first, and that was Alot of rage, and I'm with you there about holding in alot of shame and guilt around it all, its awful. But we aren't bad people, we just struggle to process and express emotions at these times.

I do also suspect I have like bpd or a cluster of cptsd, ocd, gad, and stress disorder along with anxiety depression which would put me in an umbrella category of bpd anyway, as well as the pmdd too.

It's alot 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😂😂😂

Hoping when an egg sticks I get a 9 month break at least I felt amazing when I was pregnant with Dd, love pregnancy 😂❤️ (also common with pmdd)

So sorry for all those experiencing losses or just af arrived, and congrats and love to those who got their bfp xxx

overwork · 30/07/2025 19:23

Oh the bubbling feeling I remember that one - congratulations it’s looking positive to me!

Ash2345f · 30/07/2025 19:06

@ForGiddyDreamer Thankyou … I can’t bloody believe it I was getting a few cycles in and questioning everything.. honestly over the moon just hoping things progress. I can only describe it as a dull aching sensation and a type of bubbling feeling.. if that makes sense! Then today I’ve been absolutely ravenous!!

ForGiddyDreamer · 30/07/2025 19:00

@Ash2345f I can see it, that's a good line for 8dpo! Congratulations & fingers crossed for progression 🤞How would you describe your cramping, if you don't mind me asking? I'm 8dpo and have cramps today but pretty sure they feel like normal luteal cramps. I try not to symptom spot but friends just sent a pic of their gorgeous newborn baby this morning and I feel so very emotional about it.

Ash2345f · 30/07/2025 18:47

Hey everyone I’m 8 DPO and I’ve just took a FREAR Test this evening as I had lots of cramping on and off last night. It’s come up with this it looks like the start of a positive or am I seeing things !!! So excited if this is the start of a positive … nothing has shown like this the past 3 cycles always been stark white.

Hi @ZAB1908 I am sorry to hear about your ectopic. If this is your first month tracking ovulation you might find it useful to track other signs alongside the tests. E.g. when your cervical mucus changes in consistency. I have a 27 day cycle and I get my 'peak' on the tests around cycle day 11-12 and I think ovulation happens on cycle day 12 or 13. My luteal phase then is always 13-14 days long.

The instructions for the different ovulation tests have charts where they say when you should start testing. If you're using the premom ones, I believe they recommend testing from cd 16 with a 32 day cycle but those are all based on averages. You'll know when you're heading towards your peak because the test line will get as dark, or darker, than the control. Just keep testing to work out your pattern.

ZAB1908 · 30/07/2025 13:27

Hi I am TTC baby #2 after having an ectopic pregnancy in June which resulted in me having emergency surgery to remove my right fallopian tube. I was hoping someone could help me as I am new to tracking ovulation. Here is my tracking so far. Is it normal to go up/down before reaching a high/peak? Also my cycle is usually about 32 days, at what point do you think I should expect to ovulate? Thanks in advance!

@JH20000 that's brilliant you managed to fit yesterday in too. Fingers crossed🤞

@FarAwayBird hes doing much better thanks. He's responded very well to medication, it's a relief. Cautiously optimistic!

@Esssa i think it really helps to be super busy. We've visitors Friday through to Tuesday. AF due for me Tuesday.

I'm about 8dpo today. Luteal symptoms in full swing. Achy groin, tired and short tempered.

Esssa · 30/07/2025 06:35

@FarAwayBird @DoubleDandelion I'm trying not to test at all. I'm away with the whole in law family (14 of us) Friday to Monday and currently packing and organising for that is keeping me distracted. I'm temping though and I don't know if going away will mess with that. So I might test this month. Realistically I won't get anything worth looking at till Monday anyway if I'm lucky enough to get a bfp this month. We've gone maximum effort this month though so fingers crossed

FarAwayBird · 30/07/2025 01:16

@EmPeEf Haha yeah it’s funny the things I can remember. Can I remember where my phone/keys/headphones etc are? Absolutely not 🫣😂 Oh gosh - I hope there are no lake-related dramas! Sounds beautiful though! I hope the weather holds out for you.

Thank you! Yeah - the PMDD thing is not fun. I’m glad it’s getting more understood, though. I think Vicky Pattison (Geordie Shore) has been really open about it - which is brave of her. Mine is pretty well managed if I eat well, sleep enough and exercise… which is easier said than done! I do worry it could impact TTC.

@Kerrylf and @Figtree11 sorry to hear about AF 😔 Fingers crossed for August!

@DoubleDandelion thats fair enough! I really need to focus on this big work
event on Saturday. Definitely can’t test before that just in case it’s positive (haha at my optimism). I would NOT be able to concentrate. I guess I’ll cave on Sunday.

Does anyone have any experience/advice with ttc while ur partner has low sperm count? I think he is being put on a hcg treatment soon to I think increase his levels? But I was wondering if there was anything supplement wise people have found helped or if anyone has had experience with this and how long it took to get pregnant?

Also has anyone done acupuncture i’ve heard it’s good for ttc but im a little reluctant 🙈

SureLook · 29/07/2025 21:32

@JH20000 good luck with the GP appointment.

@DoubleDandelion I know. I've thought about that as well. Putting two of them to bed by myself would be 🤪 but we'd manage and embrace the chaos!

amey44 · 29/07/2025 21:19

PeonyPatch · 29/07/2025 17:43

What exactly is a chemical pregnancy? Xx

I believe it is when the egg implants and releases hcg but then you lose the pregnancy before 5 weeks? x

DoubleDandelion · 29/07/2025 21:06

@FarAwayBird well we have a wedding on Friday and I would have liked to have tested before that but realistically I’ll (we’ll) be 8DPO so will be too early. Weekend will be busy so hopefully easily distract myself but may give in on Monday/Tuesday (11/12 DPO). What about you?

Oh @SureLook it’s really tricky isn’t it?! My husband has always worked long shifts so we’re fairly used to it but it doesn’t make it easy. Currently lay between two sleeping twins wondering how on earth I’m going to put three children to bed on my own should we get so lucky! I’m trying to remain hopeful for this cycle but if it doesn’t work out I’ve just got to pray the app isn’t quite getting its dates right for the next cycle!

JH20000 · 29/07/2025 20:17

Thankfully DP came home one day early so now officially on the 2 week wait. We get married in a couple of weeks so would be amazing to get a BFP however appreciate I’d be lucky to do so on the first try.

Anyway I’ve got lots to read up on as this is all very new to me. Have an appointment with my GP next week to discuss my PCOS and medication etc so fingers crossed it’s all moving in the right direction.

SureLook · 29/07/2025 20:10

@Another5am keep us posted.

@Figtree11 sorry to you too ❤️

Kerrylf · 29/07/2025 19:46

AF arrived for me on Friday evening so I took the weekend to cheer myself up.

Sending good luck to everyone still in their waiting 💕

Same here, but arrived on Sunday for me. Onto the next cycle 😞

Another5am · 29/07/2025 20:06

I’m 9dpo, hoping to get to 10dpo tomorrow but have throbbing legs and feel crampy, grumpy and bloated so I’m thinking AF is on her way.

SureLook · 29/07/2025 19:55

@Kerrylf sorry to hear that ❤️

SureLook · 29/07/2025 19:32

@PeonyPatch noooooo 😫 feel better soon.
A chemical is a very early loss, usually around five weeks. You test positive then slowly test negative and then get your period. I'm not a fan of the term as I think it diminishes your loss.

@ForGiddyDreamer @LuckyDuck93 best of luck!

@DoubleDandelion that's so annoying. My partner has started shift since my last loss and it does make it trickier.

@JH20000 welcome and best of luck!

@FarAwayBird thanks for the kind words ❤️

@amey44 I don't really trust those One Step tests. I used their ovulation tests and they were crap.

amey44 · 29/07/2025 18:13

I honestly don’t know what to make of these tests? I feel like there’s a faint line but also I can’t remember if they’ve always been like this?

The second pic uploaded such bad quality so I don’t think it shows anything

EmPeEf · 29/07/2025 17:41

@FarAwayBird that’s so kind of you to remember! I wish I had a memory like that 😄 we’ve just arrived at our waterfront lodges in Coventry, and there’s no fence to the lake so either one of my children or my partner are going to end up in it with the carp I just know it lol.

I’m okay. Better than after my first chemical I think. Partner and I had a cry together. Still having cramps but bleeding tailing off. Tired all the time still though.

I’m interested to hear you have PMDD. I only heard about it recently one of the girls on Married at First Sight. Have a lot of empathy for anyone navigating it for sure xxx

FarAwayBird · 29/07/2025 16:47

Welcome @JH20000!

Oh no @PeonyPatch and @overwork - I’m sorry you’re both sick and with the worst timing. I hope you both feel better soon 💐

@amey44 Fingers crossed you ovulated late and are still in with a chance this month!
