Hi @DorsetGirl89 that is really really tricky! Can I just check are you talking about LH tests when you say spike? Can you post a pic? Or are you just doing BBT? I don't have experience of this exact scenario but I know your cycle could be messed up by the chemical or it could be totally typical despite the chemical.

I would say that re booking your progesterone test, all you can do is go by the data you have. Day 1 as red bleeding sounds right to me, and if there was a peak then fair enough to assume that is (or could be) ov, so count 7 days from there. I guess the blood test will give them a starting point to investigate further if any concerns come up. If your progesterone is low then of course it may just be that you hadn't ovulated yet, and I guess you'd need to try again the next cycle and compare. But maybe you'll have got the right day and levels will be normal and they can rule that out. I'm having mine tested this cycle too so it will be good to compare notes when we get our results.

So encouraging @EmPeEf I know how you feel. So do you think you're 1DPO or 2DPO today? I'm 5DPO.

It would be really nice for me to have a rare drink on Friday as it's a very special occasion but at 9DPO I don't think I will. In theory I think a few drinks when TTC is fine but I'm opting out these days, to avoid regret. Slightly annoying timing though, would have loved to raise a glass this weekend!

I’m not sure enough to pick between the two at the moment. But you’re 5! Exciting. Hoping you have some positive symptoms over the next few days that mean implantation is happening. I felt a very definite stab on day 6 with my first.

SureLook · 14/07/2025 20:07

@ForGiddyDreamer I was referred to the Leaf Clinic in the Coombe Hospital in Dublin. I know! And I thought 3-6 months was bad.
Let me know what your GP says. I'm gonna ring the RCM and see if going privately with them is an option. I meant to ask when I was in getting the tablets but I forgot.

@FarAwayBird sorry, it's actually RMC - recurrent miscarriage clinic. Yeah, you never know. Hopefully I'll be one of those people who discover they're pregnant right before the appointment 🤞🏻

FarAwayBird · 14/07/2025 20:05

@SureLook I was going to ask what RCM was but I think @ForGiddyDreamer answered that!

Woah - that is a long wait but hopefully just having the referral in is enough for nature to do its thing! 🤞 Also just good to get on the list if it takes that long.

Sorry I’ve been a bit absent this week. On CD7 so nothing really happening over here.

ForGiddyDreamer · 14/07/2025 20:02

@SureLook is that the referral for the fertility hubs in Ireland? That's an awfully long wait 😑Hopefully you get a cancellation or, even better (as you say), BFP before then. I see my doctor on Friday afternoon and am going to ask about how private options work in Ireland.

SureLook · 14/07/2025 19:57

I got my appointment with the RCM today - March 2026!!! They said it was a 3-6 month waiting list but that makes it 9 months!! I didn't think it would be that long. I thought Christmas/early New Year at the latest. Hopefully I'll be successfully pregnant before then or I'll get a cancellation 🫠

@NatalieSFyeah i couldnt have it mixed, im on the pregnant ones now tho and am finding every excuse not to have them but they taste much better than preconception ones..also found the mens tasted better too lol

EmPeEf · 14/07/2025 16:05

First day temp has gone above cover line so hopefully that means OV and a normal cycle length 🤞🏻 Funny how that really is a small mercy when trying month after month.

peanutForever · 14/07/2025 06:40

@EmPeEfthat described ovulation pain to me lovely, good luck!

@NatalieSF theyre expensive but worth it i feel. Myself, my neighbour and a colleague have taken them and weve all gotten pregnant in 2/3 cycles max

I started them about 3 days ago. I do not like how they taste 🤣 I have to shot it, I tried them in water but it was worse lol

I got pregnant accidentally with my loss we BD once in the month and was pregnant. Yet here I am trying and it's not happened yet 🤣

Isn't it wild that sometimes women get pregnant by accident?! Then there's those of us turning into reproductive hormone specialists and data analysts and still not having any luck. Not diminishing the fact that accidental pregnancy can be a nightmare of course.

Hi @NatalieSF I'm a bit ahead at 4DPO. How long is your luteal phase usually? I'm due AF between 21 and 24 July but thinking positively at the moment!

I say this to my husband all the time, to fall pregnant by accident (if you're not wanting to) is statistically very unlucky! Whereas here's us planning absolutely everything to perfection and still not getting there

overwork · 13/07/2025 23:34

@hollyhocks2 that was me, last time. It took months for us to decide to go ahead with the pregnancy and I don’t know that I was ever particularly excited about any of it. If that hadn’t happened, we’d have happily never had children, and now here we are actively wanting another. It’s only been one month of trying and I’m already over the hassle of trying to get pregnant, another ‘accident’ would be lovely Grin

rainbowsnack · 13/07/2025 22:58

I'm frustrated with the heat atm... too damn hot for BD'ing 😂

I feel like I'm on fire, I'm wondering if that's due to me being due to ovulate tomorrow (if Flo is right) as well?

About 12-14 days, AF due on the 25th. I'll probably test about 9-10dpo as I'm impatient lol

Just jumping over from the other thread. Officially in the TWW on 1dpo cd18 of cycle 2. I have swapped to naitre supplements as pregnacare was giving me terrible heartburn and DH said they were too big 🤣 tried BBT this month but failed dramatically hopefully next month will be better if no bfp this month

SureLook · 13/07/2025 16:31

@amey44 some months are trickier than others timing wise. Sometimes life gets in the way!

amey44 · 13/07/2025 16:11

SureLook · 13/07/2025 15:31

@amey44 I'd say that's exactly what happened. I'd say it just shot up. Did you DTD around then?

Yeah we dtd CD 11, 12 and today i’m just worried incase it didn’t happen as my flo app is predicting the 18th for ov and im at a family event for a few days then so ill end up missing my window!😅

SureLook · 13/07/2025 15:31

overwork · 13/07/2025 11:57

Thanks all, bit of variation but in the approx timeframes I was thinking. Except @megan345 - is it normally this late in the month for you?!

amey44 · 13/07/2025 10:56

SureLook · 12/07/2025 23:57

@amey44 I wonder did you get your peak on CD11 but maybe it didn't recognise it cause the lighting is a bit off in some of the tests. But as @hollyhocks2 said it could be from being really hydrated and I would definitely keep testing.

@Nightshift110 that's great!

That’s what I was thinking as my 1pm test was so dark compared to my 8pm test so I wonder if it happened between then? I tested again today and still low 0.2 ugh

@EmPeEfMy temp CD 11 was 36.5 then on CD12 36.8 then today gone back down to 36.3 I don’t really track bbt though as I tend to have awful sleep which I heard affects it aha

ChaE05 · 13/07/2025 10:51

@overworkmy EWCM starts 5 days before I ovulate. But I would say the day before and day of ovulation I get alot more x

Mummysparrow · 13/07/2025 09:25

@overworki have lh peak 2 days after ewcm and then ovulate the day after
