@DorsetGirl89im 22 dpo I think. I should be 5 weeks 3 days pregnant.
Think I'm going to go get another CBD for the morning. And then If it's gone back up I'll book in an early scan .
Its given me a little hope this morning .

NiftySheep · 18/07/2025 09:12

Can I also say how reassuring it is having you ladies, and that I can send a message like the above and just know you all understand the ins and outs completely. I was trying to explain to my hubs and he didn't really understand what I was saying haha!

NiftySheep · 18/07/2025 09:08

Morning all! Finally got a positive ovulation test last night on CD16 so based on past experience think ovu will be tomorrow. I'm relieved as thought I was having an anovulatory cycle after MC! I'm assuming it'll push my cycle to about 32 days as opposed to 27. I had a similar cycle when I conceived DD back in 2022 following a chemical, so hoping this is a positive sign for this month!

Well I've no idea what's going on. Did a cheap test this morning , compared to Wednesday when the CBD went backwards to 1-2. Top Wednesday and bottom one this morning. Slightly darker again right ?

Hi all. Nipping in as could do with a bit of a hand hold today.

To recap, I had a MC in March. Tested positive again in June, but a private scan at 6 weeks didn't bring good news. Referred to NHS who couldn't find the location of the pregnancy and found a large ovarian cyst.

Had repeat bloods which showed hcg levels dropping. And I started bleeding on Monday. So, had made my difficult peace with it being another miscarriage.

Had some additional blood tests on Tuesday in relation to the cyst, and had a call last night to say my hcg levels had risen since Sunday. They're now obviously concerned about an ectopic.

Heading back to the hospital today. Don't know what to expect. Head is all over the place. Really just want this chapter to be over.

Hope you get good news 🤞 but if it is ectopic and I hope it isn't, I had one in January. I don't want to cause you any added stress but feel free to ask me anything. Though I know everyone's experience can be different xxx

YKM2829 · 18/07/2025 07:40

Around 9/10dpo as only tested LH after my peak as wasn't testing this month just wanted to make sure ovulation actually did occur as didn't feel any pain this month.
And yeah this morning......

I really hope this one sticks 🤞

This month is the 2nd month I've taken 1000mg vit c and 1st cycle taking agnus castus vitex (chasteberry) 450mg at beginning of luteal phase (give or take a day or too as I say may have been a day late at the beginning of luteal phase)

No symptoms with the bfp, if anything my pmdd symptoms are better. Which is weird as chasteberry takes 3 months usually. Maybe it's the bfp making me feel better. That is what's supposed to happen or usually happens with pmdd and pregnancy 😅
Anyway that was long winded 😮‍💨
My catch up as haven't been on here this month xx

Thanks for the reply’s ladies! My tests have been getting lighter today so i’m guessing that was my peak which is crazy as if I didn’t test at 6 I would’ve missed it! I’m thinking of stopping testing now as it’s making me turn into a maniac though haha

Ive had cramping today so hoping that’s a good sign i’ve ov’d

EmPeEf · 17/07/2025 20:17

Thinking of you today @Taysonic I really hope you get some answers soon xxx

@amey44 yes, I would take that as your peak. Perfect timing right before going away.

@ThatNimbleOP sorry, I should have specified again that I'm in Ireland. The guidelines only very recently changed. I assume you're in the UK?

@Iris2024 thank you! We're all great strong women ❤️

@Mummysparrow This is so amazing! Over a year trying too, so happy for you! 💕 Gives me hope!

@Nightshift110 I’m hoping a chemical isn’t the case here, sending so much love to you ❤️

@FarAwayBird Hey my love! CD12 today. Let’s hope and pray 🙏 that this is our month lovely!

@megan345 SAME! Waiting for peak and then the dreaded wait begins all over again 🤣🤣

@ThatNimbleOP welcome lovely! I’m 41 and have a daughter who is 6. We caught first time trying with her. We tried for 6 months January 2024. We are now onto month 4 of trying for second child.

@SureLook Hope you’re okay my love. You’re being so strong ❤️

I feel really emotional tonight. We have just BD’d and here wondering when will it be our turn. I also feel comfort that we are all here together and all got each other.

ChaE05 · 17/07/2025 16:32

@amey44so sure your peak was CD16 at 6.33? X

ThatNimbleOP · 17/07/2025 16:23

@SureLook is this true? My doctor said you don't qualify but that would be a big relief if it ever came to it...

@amey44 The CD16 looks like a peak to me? I don't trust prenom, it can change based on the lighting in the room!!

amey44 · 17/07/2025 16:03

Sorry for another post on this but do we think the 0.72 was my peak because it’s just going down now:( I go away tomorrow so this is my last day of BD for a few days if not :(

@ForGiddyDreamer I'm thinking of enquiring about private testing also. I would also qualify for public IVF now as they recently changed the criteria. You can apply if you have one living child. It's to accommodate secondary infertility. It's good to know that these options are there if we need it.
Also trying to chill 🫠

@SureLook @ThatNimbleOP yes, trying to see it as a chance to just be healthier all round. When I was living in England I was probably more active and since moving here with the losses, I have been comfort eating. So just eat better and move more like I used to do. I don't eat meat or fish (veggie but not vegan) so have been sitting here drawing up meal plans. She also said that although the two losses are difficult it means I can get pregnant so take the small win there. I asked about moving between the public and private system and her recommendation was to go private for the testing because it's quicker and that I quality under the public system for IVF should we need that. But basically, to just chill out 😅

SureLook · 17/07/2025 14:16

@ForGiddyDreamer that's great that she's referring you on and doing some tests herself. I'm the same with the weight. I've a good two stone to lose and I know that but it's still very confronting to hear it 🙈
I have heard that before about BDing every second day after your period. Sometimes I say I'll do that but I think I'd still be so tempted to know when I ovulated!
At least you've something to focus on that's not just TTC. Cause it's good for your general health too. I'm trying to be good too and increase my protein.

ThatNimbleOP · 17/07/2025 14:16

@ForGiddyDreamer that sounds so positive! It helps so much to have a "goal" or "project" knowing that by putting in the effort something might change.

@ChaE05 how old is your little one? It's frustrating because non-medics will say if you're having regular periods you're fine but breastfeeding can thin your endometrium and prevent implantation which is a lesser know side effect. My results were also "normal" although looking back, my progesterone was super low for day 21 and they just flagged it as "the breastfeeding". Hoping now i've stopped, if i want further testing they won't just fob me off!

Feeling super happy tbh....it was time, i was exhausted....It was hard when she was upset but i told her mummy wants another baby so we have to stop, seemed to help :) she even told me mummy is gonna have a pink baby! Good luck whatever your choice!

ForGiddyDreamer · 17/07/2025 13:26

Hi girls. I had my appointment with the GP this morning. She was super nice. Context for those reading this is Ireland. She's referring me to a private fertility clinic and will put me on both the public and private lists. I've to go back to her next cycle for tests (between days 2-6 for test 1 and 21-23 for test 2) and those results will be shared with the clinic. Also said I could do with losing a stone - I knew I'd put on weight since January but to be told a stone had me 😱She said I'm not "fat" as she put it but every kilo could help.

Other useful things were that I need to take a step back because I am getting too stressed. She said at 37 I am far too stressed and the conversation could be different if I was older. She also recommended I stop with the ovulation tests. If I know I am ovulating and my cycles are regular, I just need to have sex every other day from the end of my period. The constant testing, she said, is making me stress which isn't good for ttc either.

So I feel that now I have a project: project lose a stone. I think I'll focus on that for now. I don't usually weigh myself because in the past I got a bit too hung up on what the scales said and it wasn't healthy. So the plan is to devise a meal plan and get out for more exercise.

ChaE05 · 17/07/2025 11:29

@ThatNimbleOPhave just read your message about stopping breastfeeding. I have always worried about the same. I had 2 mc earlier this year and wondered if my progesterone was low as a result of feeding and maybe caused them. However I have had my progesterone tested twice and it was good. Also had my prolactin tested recently and that was fine. We only feed once a day at bedtime, and not quite ready to stop. Hope you're feeling okay now you have stopped. It's a hard thing to do x

ChaE05 · 17/07/2025 11:25

@Taysonicas if it wasn't hard enough for you 😔 I'm really sorry, I hope it isn't an ectopic. Honestly keeping everything crossed for you x please let us know how you get on x
