@YKM2829I'm so sorry 💔 it's hard enough having a miscarriage without feeling supported and listened to. Nothing ever seems consistent? And you shouldn't feel like you are having to beg for something so simple. I read of so many women being given progesterone but why does it seem to hard to get? Stick with the EPU for now. I don't like to slate GPs but it really does depend on who you get x

@Figtree11I'm so sorry you're feeling low. The emotions during our cycle are wild. Starting of with such positivity and hope at the start and then everything just seems to come crashing down as soon as we get those negative tests and AF shows her ugly face. Have you had any sorts of tests ? I know you said you have PCOS. So I guess you've probably had bloods and semen checked etc. How old are you again? Sending hugs xx

I am sorry and also very pissed off on your behalf to read about your experience with the doctor @YKM2829 If you have the energy, I would lodge a complaint. I am glad that your EPU experience was much better though. It's really hit and miss with doctors. I think @DorsetGirl89 experience & @ChaE05 comment hit the nail on the head: it helps to have a female doctor who has also went through it herself.

@Kerrylfi think a luteal phase can vary from about 10-17days. I'm on the shorter side of 11 x

@Kerrylf when I got the mirena coil out I had some cycles with a 16 day luteal phase. I think stress can also impact it. I would not worry too much if this is a once off for you but also good to keep a record. Also not out til AF shows!

@SureLook I am sorry to read about your dad. Sending you strength. We recently went through same with my dad. He had to have his lung partially removed but is doing ok for now.

I have not really paid much attention to my cycle for days. I guess I am 3 dpo. I would be surprised if anything sticks as we only d2d twice in my fertile period. My little dog took ill on Sunday. He ended up being referred for an mri and we had him at the animal hospital yesterday. Turns out the poor mite had a stroke. I've barely slept all week and slept on the floor downstairs with him as he can't climb the stairs. He's showing some improvement now and is being trialled on high dose steroids. So given the stress of this week, I would say chances of anything sticking are quite low.

Hey @DorsetGirl89you've had a really positive day despite the chemical pregnancy. I'm so pleased your GP has listened. Also...being a woman and having gone through the same thing really helps doesn't it. She will understand. And yes unfortunately these chemicals are so common that most of the time women aren't aware of it. It just so happens your symptoms were so strong and you're clearly so in tune with your body. I'm the same, certain symptoms I have when I've been early stages pregnancy. I think I would rather not know!! I'm no doctor but it's probably more than likely just a chromosomal issue than a progesterone one.
You have a great plan in place now and I have everything crossed for you. Your oncology team sound great xx

So the bfp I did last Thursday turned out to be solid. Did a digital on Monday said pregnant 1 to 2 weeks. Had cramping and spotting the whole time. By Tuesday pain and bleeding worse. With all my tests looking the same each day not getting darker I knew something was wrong. I could just tell it didn't feel right. Ended up doing 2x test Wednesday and yesterday BFN both times. Hospital yesterday as pain in left side from previous ectopic was agonising 30mg codeine didn't help, confirmed miscarriage. Had ultrasound and everything looks healthy ovary wise. No cysts. Remaining right tube looks healthy womb looks healthy. Hcg was 2 by time discharge.

Funnily enough wednesday went to doctors about the bleeding. And it was a duty doctor and she down right refused to send me for any sort of blood test for low progesterone even though I gave her all my history and symptoms. Short luteal phase as well as other symptoms. Denied the UK giving progestrone for bleeding during early pregnancy, or just at all... Doesn't make sense.
Denied to acknlowdhe that progestrone helps with thickening of uterus lining and egg Implantation. Stating that even if progestrone is low it rises during pregnancy but couldn't understand the logic of but if its so low during Implantation it still might not rise quick enough.
Basically just fobbed me off. Even with my bleeding cramps and history just said wait for midwife app at 12 weeks.
Even though hospital said because this is second time miscarriage and with ectopic in January all with bleeding from the start of implantation through, next time, I'd have to go for tests if I was bleeding, as soon as bfp, to see if progestrone is low.........
Bad experience there.
But early pregnancy unit was amazing same as last time.

@FarAwayBird I'm OK, thanks. It seems I've finished my period so I'll be starting on the LH strips soon. My MMC baby would have been due next month and I'm starting to think I would have been on mat leave now, things like that. We also didn't get great news in relation to my Dad's cancer treatment so we're processing that. I really hope I can give him another grandchild soon.

@DorsetGirl89 that's great that your GP didn't need any convincing. I would say its incredibly common but we just don't know unless we test early. It's the same with chemicals. I'd say a lot of us have had them but we didn't know cause we didn't test early.
That's fantastic about the fertility team, too. It's so great to have a plan as you say. The lack of control is so hard!

my luteal phase is 16 days x

Has anyone had a luteal phase longer than 14 days? I got static smiley cycle day 9 on clearblue, suggesting I ovulated around CD9/10 and CM suggested similar. But AF was due Wednesday/Thursday and it hasn't arrived yet and all tests are negative. AF is deffo on the way but I always thought luteal was 14 days long. Still getting to understand my cycles post loss in January time

@DorsetGirl89 thanks, yeah it does feel very all consuming. I think I’m dealing with it better this year than last though. I will be on progesterone next time, but I was last time and it didn’t help. But they think I may have a blood clotting disorder, so I’ll also be on aspirin & daily blood thinning injections throughout 😅 But it’s not a definite I have the disorder so who knows if it will work

hey everyone! cd 1 today after a suspected anovulatory cycle which is annoying as it was the cycle we dtd the most🤣🤣 fingers crossed back on track next month

Not invasive at all 🙂 I’ve had 3 pregnancies and 3 missed miscarriages. I’m under a recurrent miscarriage clinic who diagnosed pcos, and have a plan in place if I get pregnant again to see if that can sustain a pregnancy. So it’s just a waiting game now, but I don’t ovulate til around cd25 so it’s a long old wait each time. I’m just struggling with imagining how life should have turned out, how I should have a 1 year old by now etc etc. I try bat those thoughts away!

So many updates I’m struggling to keep up!

AF due tomorrow and getting the usual pre period cramps. And a BFN on a test this morning. I knew it would be negative, but I just feel a bit low. 2 years on & im just sick of this now

@hollyhocks2yes thank goodness all okay! Please she could explain that over the phone without us having to pay the extra 300.00 to have the results read to us 🫠 I feel so much better now. All results have come back fine so far so I just pray it's a matter of time for us 🙏 how have you been feeling lovely? Hope okay xx

Gosh @ChaE05 that was a whirlwind - so relieved for you! In other words SA came back all good! That's really encouraging and I'm thinking it's been 'just bad luck' for you so far rather than anything physical being amiss.

UPDATE: OH phoned the fertility clinic...asked why the report said normal, but it appears that he is showing positive for MAR test. The embryologist assured him his results were normal. If they see any form of binding they have to put it as a positive. His percentage was 30% and she said its in normal parameters and nothing to be worried about. The relief!! They need to change that in their report though. As it said normal result was negative or <50 but put his result ar positive!! She told him I need to get off Google 🤣 I had practically booked us in for IVF. X
