Hey @EmPeEf I’m sorry I don’t have anything particularly helpful to offer but I’m keeping everything crossed for line progression in the next few days! When will you test again?

I need to do a proper reply to everyone soon! X

Hey @MummySam2017 welcome!

MummySam2017 · 27/07/2025 00:59

Hope it’s okay to join. I’m holding off until next Monday to do a test, trying not to get my hopes up as every month I’m convinced I’m pregnant but I’m left disappointed. Nice to have a support thread ♥️

EmPeEf · 26/07/2025 22:53

I think the stabbing pains that woke me up last night were me losing it 😔

EmPeEf · 26/07/2025 22:48

I was expecting AF this weekend some time but I think I’m having another chemical. Did one of the ultra earlies and it’s so much fainter than the one I did on Thursday. I used FMU for this but saved it in a cup since this morning. Is it still reliable?

Around my cervix is some pink tinged CM as well.

Top is Thursday, middle is yesterday middle of the day, and bottom is now with this morning’s FMU.

@YKM2829 I agree it's not good enough, for the many people that can't advocate for themselves as effectively it's totally unacceptable. Good for you for making a complaint. I too have had amazing care from EPU, the main sonographer in my local hospital is like an angel imho!

@EmPeEf oh gosh, that's a very fragile place to be. Yes we do need to assume 'pregnant until proven otherwise' but it's wild. I continue to cross everything for you, can completely understand your nerves.

SureLook · 26/07/2025 20:53

@amey44 sorry to hear it was BFN ❤️

@ForGiddyDreamer I hope your doggo has a swift recovery.

@EmPeEf aww it's such a rollercoaster isn't it? I know exactly what you mean about seeing the words pregnant on the digital. It's so reassuring seeing it in black and white. When is AF due? Maybe wait until then?

EmPeEf · 26/07/2025 17:59

Still haven’t had a positive digital. I took a 6 day early one the same day I got the first faint like on Wondfo and negative. Took a weeks one yesterday and still negative but Wondfo is still faint, Easy@Home still very faint, and Asda own brand negative. So I’m assuming Asda are 25miu as well?

This is leading me to believe I definitely OV on the Sunday after my peak LH on Friday. 99% sure I experienced OV pain and then we DTD during it 😅 Had my first temp dip 8 days later, then rise and another dip on the day I got my first positive.

So I think my faint line was 10dpo and I’m 13dpo now. So I’d hopefully get a positive on a 25miu maybe tomorrow? I keep having dreams I start bleeding and I had such intense cramps last night they woke me up twice! Was sure I was losing it and would be bleeding today.

I have no tests left so it’s totally strange to go an entire day just believing I’m pregnant based on the lack of miscarriage symptoms, which is so stupid because that’s how everyone did it for thousands of years. But still, would really like to see the words. Especially because that’s how I knew for my chemical in May.

Uncertainty rant over 😅

EmPeEf · 26/07/2025 17:31

@DorsetGirl89 positive from your GP and your oncology team there. It’s such a huge relief when you don’t need to battle for anything x

@YKM2829 I’m so sorry to read that update from you. And annoyed at your GP! Honestly pathetic from them 😡 Sending much love x

@ForGiddyDreamer sending lots of well wishes your way for your doggie! Hope he’s feeling the benefits of his medication and it goes well x fingers crossed for Monday!

ForGiddyDreamer · 26/07/2025 17:29

Thanks for asking about him @ChaE05 He's on day 2 of intravenous steroids. Vet was happy with his progress today but concerned he's not yet recovered movement in his back leg. We're back over with the vets Monday for a progress assessment.

amey44 · 26/07/2025 17:04

Another bfn today not expecting a positive now honestly :/ I’ve been having a lot of cramps today as well as some sharp stabby pains in my uterus area so thought something was happening but I guess not!

ChaE05 · 26/07/2025 16:48

@ForGiddyDreamerhow's your doggy? Hope you are both okay 🩷

YKM2829 · 26/07/2025 10:32

Thanks everyone for the messages xxxx

Another5am · 26/07/2025 10:09

@SureLook thank you! Me too. It’s just worth a shot at this point and it makes me feel a bit more in control of such an uncontrollable process. Agree, this is the first month I’ve felt ovulation pains since the chemical and it’s my 4th cycle since it happened. I had high OPKs previously but none of my usual symptoms so I think it definitely messed me up a bit.

@YKM2829 I’ve heard good things about magnesium and Angus cactus. The month I caught, I didn’t ovulate until day 23! It was the month I started a multivitamin. My cycles have calmed down a bit tho and I’m ovulating day 16 but only getting to day 24,25 or 26 before I bleed.

Hey, I have a short luteal phase too. Used to be 11 but had a loss with a D&C last year and ended up going on the pill because we had a relative pass away and I just felt TTC was too much and needed some time to heal. It’s gone from 11 to 8, 9 (chem month) or 10 some months. I’ve been off the pill since Oct.

It’s 8 when I don’t take any supplements. It’s 9 when I take a multivitamin and B6 and it’s 10 when I add in high strength vit c to that combo. Just wanted to share in case that helps anyone.

It can feel like a long road. I was worried about joining a group because I’ve not had a straightforward TTC path, but sadly posters in this group have had a tough time too :( at least we can be there for each other and support! Thinking of you girls ❤️

Yeah I've noticed since my ectopic my luteulphase is now 11 days has been 7 months now, last month I felt better syntomps wise during that time with 1000mg vit c and magnesium and this month I caught on I also add agnus castus vitex at 480mg which also help symptoms wise so I'm gonna continue with that and hope for better luck next time xx

SureLook · 26/07/2025 08:33

@Another5am of course! It's called Balance by Herology. It's an Irish company - I'm in Ireland. A friend who has sadly had many losses recommended it. She said just to take it for a month post loss to settle things as I wanna start TTCing again in August and it's not suitable in pregnancy. It's very expensive, €50 for a 30 day supply. I downloaded TikTok to buy it on TikTok shop cause it was €34 and then immediately deleted it afterwards 😂
I've also heard that it takes three months to start seeing the benefit of supplements but if its making me feel like I'm doing something to help then why not.
I think it takes our bodies longer to settle post loss/chemical than we're being led to believe!

Another5am · 26/07/2025 08:14

@SureLook oh do you mind telling me the name of it? I had a chemical in April and my periods have been strange since. I read so many people saying everything went back to normal very quickly for them, but not for me! I think my hormones are unbalanced.

However, I am my own worst enemy because I try something new, it doesn’t work, so then I ditch it and try something else 🤦‍♀️ even though I read people saying these things take 3 months to kick in etc. I also have no patience for something if it messes up my cycle lol

SureLook · 26/07/2025 08:10

@Another5am thanks, same to you. I'm taking a supplement at the moment to help with hormones post loss. It's only for the month, it was recommended by a friend. I've been pregnant twice in the last seven months so I wanted to try and help with the hormone rollercoaster. It's hard to know if they're doing anything but at least I'm doing something!

Another5am · 26/07/2025 08:02

@SureLook sorry to hear about your D&C and losses, it’s just so much to go through. It’ll all work out though ❤️ this month I’ve added baby aspirin because it helps with blood flow and my bleeds have been so dark, the blood looks really old most of my cycle now, so thought I’d give it a go! It’s a bit controversial though I’ve heard.

SureLook · 26/07/2025 07:58

@Another5am my LP was short after my D&C in January. I've just finished my period after my next loss and I'm gonna start tracking OV with LH strips. It'll be interesting to see how it is now as I went down the medication route this time. Thanks for sharing about your supplements x

@LovelyMuddles hello! At 8dpo you're very early so you still have time 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LovelyMuddles · 25/07/2025 22:52

Hi you lovely lot. I’m 8dpo, big fat neg on frer. Maybe a glint on one step. Sore boobs, very dull backache and out of breath a lot but taking it as I’m probably out this month!

SureLook · 25/07/2025 22:45

@YKM2829 I'm so sorry to hear all that. I would make a complaint about that doctor. How rude and unprofessional. I'm glad that the EPU were better. Can they do anything for you next time in relation to the progesterone?

@ForGiddyDreamer thank for the kind words. I hope your Dad is doing OK ❤️
TTC is so much harder when you've got other things going on. You're so good sleeping with your doggo. I'd say that gave him great comfort.

YKM2829 · 25/07/2025 20:18

ForGiddyDreamer · 25/07/2025 20:04

I am sorry and also very pissed off on your behalf to read about your experience with the doctor @YKM2829 If you have the energy, I would lodge a complaint. I am glad that your EPU experience was much better though. It's really hit and miss with doctors. I think @DorsetGirl89 experience & @ChaE05 comment hit the nail on the head: it helps to have a female doctor who has also went through it herself.

She was female. However family member has had her before, she has previously has a spinal tumour and this same doctor refused to look at a recent lump on her spine. Turned out to be a benign cyxst thing but at least relive the anxiety.
I am definitely making a complaint 100% and will have to go an have a 3rd appointment with someone else again to try and get someone to listen.

I told her I felt the best on the progestrone only mini pill and that since I had my copper coil for 5 years after i had Dd, its possible the copper depleted me of my progestrone stores. And that tracks with also having a short luteulphase too. And I have other symptoms of at least some sort of hormone imbalance. But I have pmdd as well which has been linked to progestrone issue as well. So like. It all tracks. I'm half in mind if no one will listen to just go on the mini pill and build up progestrone stores. I conceived my daughter the first month coming off it. Probably won't actually work but that's how frustrating it is sometimes.
And I know my issue is no where near as bad as others. And I can speak up for myself and tell the doctor I disagree and they're wrong. But I feel bad for those who feel unable to.
The doctors don't care anymore half of them. Not even just to listen and offer and sympathetic tone of voice.
