@MummySam2017 thank you and to you too! Did it take you long to conceive your two DC? I know, its great having this space for support and to vent.

@amey44 sorry, I've not experienced that lovey. You're still early though.

@EmPeEf I'm so sorry. I hope you're doing OK. Sending hugs ❤️

@hollyhocks2 it's so hard isn't it? Try and focus on that you are pregnant now and take it one day at a time x

hollyhocks2 · 27/07/2025 22:41

@EmPeEf I'm really sorry 😔 agree it is likely to be 'just bad luck' but there's no 'just' about it, it's crushing.

Pregnancy announcements among my friends coming thick and fast. It's of course much easier to hear when I am also nurturing a (very very early) pregnancy of my own but it also puts a little extra pressure on this pregnancy to make it, because I know that if it doesn't, I will find it extra poignant when the babies of my friends arrive. I'm just not counting my chickens, I feel it could go either way. I'm simultaneously desperate to believe it will work out and also determined not to get attached to the idea that it will. It's pretty exhausting. Like pulling myself back every time I dare to have a happy daydream, and forcing myself to remember that some studies suggest up to 50% of pregnancies end in a chemical.

@EmPeEf that is reassuring about age and chemicals. I think we just find out about chemicals more now, with early tests and the internet and cycle tracking tech.

EmPeEf · 27/07/2025 21:54

I read yesterday that after carrying out studies, maternal age has no impact on chemical pregnancies, only other types of miscarriage. So people with multiple chemicals have just been really unlucky, not doomed for it to happen constantly.

ForGiddyDreamer · 27/07/2025 20:20

@amey44 the most common implantation is said to be 9/10 dpo so you're still so early on. As I said before, I didn't feel what I am sure was implantation until 11dpo. I had implantation bleeding at around 13dpo that I just assumed was the start of AF. We see so many folks on here with vvvvfl early on but it's really not that common. At the moment, you're still in it!

@EmPeEf I'm so sorry and I empathise with how frustrated you feel.

@amey44 with my Feb pregnancy I definitely felt a sharp twinge that was like three plucks when I was around 11dpo. I believe that was implantation. I got a BFP around 16dpo when I tested.

Thanks @SureLook He is very up and down. We'll see what vet thinks tomorrow.

@NiftySheep I'm about 5dpo I think. Had a lot of stress during my fertile window and we only managed to dtd twice so I'm not holding out much hope this month. We also have visitors coming next week to stay for a long weekend so I might put off testing. According to my app AF is due 5 August which is the day they leave.

NiftySheep · 27/07/2025 15:21

It’s hard to keep up, what DPO is everyone? How many more BFPs are we waiting for? Currently 9 DPO, not feeling any huge desire to early test tbh, think I’ll be wait until 13/ 14 DPO.

@NatalieSFsorry to hear AF has arrived 😔 hate her. Lovely that you have a festival to look forward to! My positive each cycle is that I get another month fitting in my jeans 😅🤣
Would love to be part of the WhatsApp group 🩷

It's good to find some form of silver lining each month 🤣 I've send you a pm with the link 🥰

3 negative tests including the strip brand I got the positive on on Wednesday. Really thought this time would be different.

amey44 · 27/07/2025 12:47

Hey just wondering if anyone has had sharp cramping and gone on to get a bfp? I’m still bfn which is honestly just so depressing at this point but i’ve had sharp cramps in my pelvic/hips area since yesterday which i’ve not had before

NatalieSF · 27/07/2025 11:27

Hey everyone.

Just an update, Af arrived for me yesterday so officially in cycle 3. Going to try and BBT this time, tried last cycle and failed 🙈 Disappointed im back to the start but DH is taking me to a festival next weekend so I'll get to drink my disappointment away 🤣

Also I set up a little WhatsApp for those TTC after a loss if there's anyone in here that would be interested

Sending baby dust to all ❤️

@MummySam2017 fair play to you. I try to hold out until 12dpo. Early testing destroyed me! Thanks for the well wishes. I'm 37 with a two and a half year old DD. Two losses in a row. Just finished my first period post loss and gonna start LH testing this week. What's your story?

Wishing you all the best my luv and sorry to hear about your losses. I’m 35, 2 dc and we have been trying for around a year. I think this is the first month I’m confident I won’t do an early test, because it devastates me and has been a big waste of money! I can’t really talk to anyone in real life anymore, I feel so much pressure and disappointment, so I’ve told everyone we’re not trying anymore. It’s nice to have a space to talk 🫶🏻

@MummySam2017 it'll be fairly definite on Monday if you'll be 14dpo. Try stay positive, even though it's hard!

Absolutely, it’s taking every bit of strength in me not to test before then lol. I haven’t read through the whole thread so I’ve missed your updates but wishing you well in your journey too xx

Another5am · 26/07/2025 10:09

@SureLook thank you! Me too. It’s just worth a shot at this point and it makes me feel a bit more in control of such an uncontrollable process. Agree, this is the first month I’ve felt ovulation pains since the chemical and it’s my 4th cycle since it happened. I had high OPKs previously but none of my usual symptoms so I think it definitely messed me up a bit.

@YKM2829 I’ve heard good things about magnesium and Angus cactus. The month I caught, I didn’t ovulate until day 23! It was the month I started a multivitamin. My cycles have calmed down a bit tho and I’m ovulating day 16 but only getting to day 24,25 or 26 before I bleed.

I've felt really good since taking my supplements and agnus castus I don't know if it's done anything to my cycle because obviously I was using it to help make my luteulphase longer and help with telling my body to release progestrone, but caught on first month.
Pmdd symptoms were alot less this month as well though so I feel like it does help with something at least xxxx

MummySam2017 · 27/07/2025 09:13

@hollyhocks2 @SureLook Thank you for the welcome 🤗. I’ll be around 14 dpo next Monday, I’m not feeling very hopeful this month for some reason, normally I’m full of hope.

hollyhocks2 · 27/07/2025 08:42

@EmPeEf I truly think this is the worst part, when you suspect it's not going to be ok but you don't know and can't process anything. I hope your worries are unfounded but I can see why you're concerned, you would hope to see progression with the clear blues that were two days apart. I would be feeling the same. Sending love.

Welcome @MummySam2017 what DPO will you be on Monday?

SureLook · 27/07/2025 07:55

@EmPeEf I just did a quick Google and there's conflicting information online about FMU still being reliable. I personally wouldn't take it as 100% accurate since it wasn't tested fresh. Will you test later today when the tests come? Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

@MummySam2017 welcome and best of luck!

EmPeEf · 27/07/2025 07:29

I ran out of strip tests but I have more of the same brand arriving today. I think it’s the fact I had a weaker result on the early Clearblue three whole days after my first line, although using a 10+ hour old sample might have messed it up.

I’ve since read that age doesn’t increase the chance of a chemical pregnancy interestingly. Just other types of miscarriage. So I would just be unlucky if it’s another. Which is somewhat comforting.

I’d really like to know where I stand though as we’re going away on holiday on Tuesday, so I won’t be able to have any bloods done next week.

peanutForever · 27/07/2025 07:14

@EmPeEfsorry that is heartbreaking, how are your strip tests looking? Sometimes it could just be a urine dilution issue/variation on the tests. HCG is meant to double every 48-72hrs so even if it was positive on a 5ul on an frer it would still take a good three days to reach over the 25ul to appear on a digi, got my fingers and toes crossed for you
