Hello! FINALLY getting round to replying properly. Sorry! 🫣

@YKM2829 I’m so sorry for the way you were treated. I’d really seriously consider complaining.

I’m also a PMDD sufferer. I think having my first baby triggered it. It started as postnatal rage, I think. My irritability makes me feel like a monster sometimes. I have a lot of shame around it, despite having had counselling. It’s so interesting what you said about the copper coil. I’ve also had one since my first baby was born 3 years ago. I also have a short luteal phase. I’m going to read into this more!

I might try angus castus - thank you for the suggestion! And @Another5am I think you mentioned it, too.

@SureLook I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I’m sure a baby would bring your whole family joy at a difficult time - but that’s also a lot of pressure on you ❤️ That’s hard about your MMC baby. It’s so easy to think ‘if only…’ I hope you get your rainbow soon! Keeping everything crossed for you this month!

@EmPeEf How are you doing? I know you’re off on hols today. I hope you have a nice relaxing time! ☀️

@ForGiddyDreamer How’s your pup doing? I remind myself that people get pregnant in all sorts of conditions so hopefully the stress won’t make too much difference. Hard not to worry about worrying though!

@DoubleDandelion @Esssa Yep! Also 5dpo here. It’s constantly in the back of my mind but I do have a work event on Saturday that I’m really nervous about - so that’s kind of distracting me for now! What day will you test?

Apologies for the essay!
Will probably double post when I realised I’ve forgotten things I was going to say…

@amey44 sending you hugs. But you've a few days yet. Have you your usual luteal symptoms?

@PeonyPatch sorry to hear you're sick. It's always the most inconvenient of timing! Hopefully you're better soon.

Tbh I only got my normal luteal symptoms a few days ago so i’m assuming I ovulated later than I thought this month? I don’t think I have a chance if that’s the case bcos I didn’t bd for a week as I was away😬I’ve been having more twingy cramps which isn’t my usual but honestly the tww surprises me with many new symptoms so i’m not surprised lol

@JH20000 welcome! The static smiley lasts two days and signals your two most fertile days. So sex tomorrow will increase your chances if the first day of static is today. Sperm live up to 5 days so 3 days ago is within a chance too.

thanks! Annoyingly I didn’t test yesterday as was so busy I forgot! On Sunday it was definitely a flashing so hopefully we’ll still be in with a chance. We shall see but fingers crossed.

Very nervous of TTC mainly because of the PCOS and not knowing how it’s going to affect things as I’ve never been pregnant before.

@PeonyPatchsnap! Different illness but same result. I’m actually almost excited to see my period this month because it means that we can try again!

I felt that way too. My period ended last week, and then I got sick Saturday 🙁 hoping we can still try this month, but not looking great.

Joining in, first cycle of trying. I have PCOS and very irregular periods however tested over the last few days and got a flashing smiley on the clear blue advanced and now a static smiley this afternoon and strong lines on the ovulation cheap strips. I tested randomly and was very surprised to actually catch it all in time!

We last dtd 3 days ago and I’m not seeing him until tomorrow now. Sorry for such a newbie question but 3 days ago should be OK? Not perfect I know but I’m still in with a chance?

LuckyDuck93 · 29/07/2025 12:56

@ForGiddyDreamer I dont think ill test until AF is late, thats what I usually try and do anyway, I normally know if im out by 12/13dpo as my temp drops

@LuckyDuck93 when might you test? I usually try to hold off to 12dpo but we have visitors here for a long weekend (Fri-Tues). If I test and it's negative I'll find it hard to hold my face so might try to hold off till they leave. Will see how that works out.

@amey44 how are things today?

I think i’m out tbh this was my test at 6am (i did wake up at 4:30am to pee so wasn’t fmu) I’m cd 29 out of usually 32-34ish day cycles so think i’d have a line now if I was pregnant :(

Oh no @PeonyPatch you wait the whole month for a few important days and then something like this gets in the way. My husband is a shift worker so my predicted ov the next two months is while he is away at work. Hope you feel better soon!

It’s rubbish isn’t it @DoubleDandelion .. x
thank you for your comment, nice to know I’m not the only one in this boat. Shame about your husband’s work pattern 🙁

DoubleDandelion · 29/07/2025 12:03

How are you getting on @FarAwayBird and @Esssa? 5DPO today, it’s dragginggggg for me, nothing seems to be capable of distracting me!

@ForGiddyDreamer great news about the dog ❤ im just a couple of days ahead of you at 9dpo and I know what you mean, the first week im super chill about it and then the nerves and anxiety kick in and I start over thinking everything!

ForGiddyDreamer · 29/07/2025 10:51

Morning everyone. 7dpo here and while I haven't thought much about it (with everything going on last week), I find I am now at that part of the cycle where the nerves start! I said a few days ago I don't hold out much hope this month because of the stress last week (little dog has responded well to meds & is continuing his recovery). I did start temping this month, though I missed a few days and my sleep has been disrupted so I doubt those are useful.

Hope everyone else in the second week of the ttw are getting on ok!

PeonyPatch · 29/07/2025 10:51

TTC on hold as I have a stomach bug 😷😭

ForGiddyDreamer · 28/07/2025 21:00

🤞🤞 @amey44

amey44 · 28/07/2025 20:41

Thanks guys i’m quite cautious with these tests but this batch hasn’t had even a smidge of a line yet apart from this so i’m hopeful! :)

@amey44 I think I see a shadow but I am not 100%. I searched for other posts with these tests and there's a thread here from someone who used these tests and wasn't sure of the result. She was indeed pregnant. You might want to compare your test to the photos on the post? https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5041890-please-help-one-step-pregnancy-tests

amey44 · 28/07/2025 17:05

I got a faint line on a one step this afternoon but i’m unsure if the second line is in the right place or if it's just dye run? Unsure if anyone will be able to see it as I have to zoom in

Oh @EmPeEfI’m so sorry. Seeing your positives always gives me hope (sorry if I’ve aged you but I think we’re a similar age), and it’s cruel for it to not stick again.
It’s feeling like a very long month for me, I was so poorly during my fertile time, there was no way I could have tried, so it will have been 2 months for me by the time we next have a shot at it.
We waited a while to start trying due to various factors so I’m not sure why waiting one more month has bothered me.
I found my old Natural Cycles thermometer by chance the other day, so I’ve signed up for a year of that. Last time we were using it was to prevent a pregnancy, but it didn’t work for us, hence my little boy! Hopefully it will work for us this time but as an aid to getting pregnant!

SureLook · 28/07/2025 10:39

@hollyhocks2 I'm not too bad, thanks. My period finished on Friday so we are gonna start TTC again this cycle. I'm at home today with a bit of a hangover after being at a music festival yesterday. It was good for the soul. I'll start LH strips today.

hollyhocks2 · 28/07/2025 10:19

Thanks @SureLook one day at a time, definitely. How are you feeling? Are you going to try again this cycle or skip a cycle or two?
