Ohhh @MocktailMe that’s such exciting news! I’m glad we get to be on this journey with you! You’re right it’s ok to wobble. I think I’m just in a weird spot as quite literally all of my co-workers here have either just experienced a traumatic loss or have recently found out they got pregnant unintentionally and all of them have decided to confide in me but no one else. I’m happy that people trust me but it’s certainly messing with my mentality a bit.

I truly appreciate you all. I know I’m not the most consistent presence but seeing all of you on your journeys brings me joy.

KT199 · 17/11/2025 18:08

Oh @CharLdn congratulations 🥹 that’s such lovely news. How are you feeling?

@MocktailMe Sending you so many positive wishes for your IVF cycle. Really hope you get some perfect Xmas news.

Also echo what @Waitingformiracle has said in terms of the keeping the pregnancy chat down low if wanted on this thread. I have over recent weeks tried to keep my updates to a minimum anyway tbh but come to offer support. Here’s to hoping one day soon we can have another thread elsewhere that’s us all discussing pregnancy/babies 🤞

MocktailMe · 17/11/2025 16:52

Thank you ladies ❤️

I'll have a scan on the 2nd to see if I've fully down regulated and if I have I think I'll start that day or the next. If not it will be a few days later and adjust the dose, but it won't be before.

Waitingformiracle · 17/11/2025 16:45

Well done @MocktailMe there is definitely a bit of a mental game of ping pong sometimes before you build up the nerve to stick the needle in 🤣 but it gets easier. How long will you down regulate before starting stims?

CharLdn · 17/11/2025 16:43

@MocktailMe yay well done!!! First one down is a big step ❤️

lavafield · 17/11/2025 15:58

@MocktailMe oh sorry somehow the thread was not updated for me when I was typing. I see you have already started your injections! Well done! You have got this! 🙌

lavafield · 17/11/2025 15:55

@CharLdn What a lovely update from you! It looks like it is a good sign that the lines are that strong with a day still to go before your period is due. Hopefully that means implantation took place earlier rather than later , which is sometimes considered to be better for pregnancy outcomes. Fingers crossed for you!
@MocktailMe when do you start your medication?
Thanks everyone again, our little man is growing!

MocktailMe · 16/11/2025 22:11

I personally wouldn't want you to stop the pregnancy chat - my mood on this fluctuates a lot and some days I absolutely love to hear the updates and they give me hope. Other days, I know to stay off the site completely!

Especially your story @Waitingformiracle having IVF success gives me so much hope.

I just wanted to check in to say I've officially started IVF and done my injection!! It stung a bit as the medication went in but mostly it was a psychological battle to actually put the needle in. I feel so much better having got it done and whilst I'm still a bit overwhelmed thinking about adding the other meds in in two weeks for now, for down reg, I really do think I've got this!!!

@PearOpal I get it it’s like ground hog day, definitely a marathon not for the weak! For context it took me 18 cycles in a row before I had a positive. I gave up having hope or a positive attitude and viewed the whole process like a gym routine. Sometimes it’s easier to just disassociate from the whole thing.

@MocktailMe I also completely get that it’s hard to hear success I’ve struggled too at times so I’ve dipped in and out at times for my own sanity.

I also muted all the babies and pregnant people on Instagram too - even close friends as I’ve found that jarring.

Waitingformiracle · 16/11/2025 12:18

@PearOpal @MocktailMe those feelings are so so valid and I completely understand them believe me. I did have to take a break from on here for a while because I was finding all of the success very overwhelming so I totally understand. Also, I can only speak for myself but I’m sure the other ladies might agree that we can 100% keep the chat about pregnancy and success out of here if you are finding it triggering because nobody wants anyone to feel that way ❤️

MocktailMe · 16/11/2025 12:14

@PearOpal I always try to think mindset matters for your own wellbeing but not actually for success. I swing every day between believing with all my heart that my first IVF transfer will be a huge success (almost like I've earned that) and then change my mind to thinking we won't even get an embroyos to transfer at all. It's a massive rollercoaster and I do soothe myself by remembering that if it will happen it will happen regardless of how I feel about it. All that to say, if you feel wobbly, it's okay to have a wobble. I'm genuinely really happy for the ladies on this thread, everyone deserves happiness so much, but I can't pretend I don't find it a bit hard to hear at times too (sorry ladies, you've all been nothing but kind to me, but sometimes it can feel tough!). So I get it xx

Im doing well. Just started back on another TWW so…here we go again. I’m still feeling much calmer won’t the whole thing but it’s definitely hard seeing so much success when I’ve never even seen a hint of a BFP. Maybe this will be my lucky cycle though, who knows!

CharLdn · 15/11/2025 14:05

@MocktailMe honestly I’d 1000% given up hope and had basically decided to disassociate from the whole process because testing before my period is due seemed like a complete waste of time and money.

Considering my odds had been 1/23 cycles it seemed safer not to hope.

So not sure about self restraint but more economic and psychological factors.

Have you started meds yet?

@PearOpal thank you it feels very surreal.

I’ve not really had any symptoms apart from a bit of cramping on Thursday but last time things started to shift around week 5.

How are you getting on?

PearOpal · 15/11/2025 09:15

@lavafield congratulations!!! So happy to hear your little one made it safe and sound. I hope you’re setting into motherhood well!!

@CharLdn AHHHH CONGRATS!!! I’m so so so happy for you!! Absolutely over the moon to read your good news 🤗

Waitingformiracle · 15/11/2025 08:54

@CharLdn definitely no squinting there! And those particular tests I found didn’t go as dark for me so those are strong lines! Really thrilled for you!

MocktailMe · 15/11/2025 07:44

Wow that's incredible willpower I am impressed! Worth waiting as well as you get such a lovely clear line.

What great news. Deffo worth missing a red wine for! How are you feeling?

Just me and @PearOpal to go 😬

OP posts:
CharLdn · 15/11/2025 05:27

@MocktailMe I’d planned not to test until CD 30 because my period was later last month but I wanted to go to the pub for a red wine so I thought I’d test just in case.

It was the day before my periods due.

I’m happy because already the lines are darker than they were last time so hopefully this is a sign it’s different 🤞

Tater05 · 14/11/2025 23:39

Omg @CharLdn ! No second guessing there! Fingers firmly crossed for a sticky one 🤞

MocktailMe · 14/11/2025 19:50

Oh wow @CharLdn that's great news...did you wait to test on 14dpo???

Second time lucky 🍀

OP posts:
CharLdn · 14/11/2025 19:09

This is 14 dpo - no squinting here!

Waitingformiracle · 14/11/2025 18:00

Oh my gosh @CharLdn this is the best news!!!! Huge congratulations I am so happy for you 🙌❤️

CharLdn · 14/11/2025 17:59

After I’d literally given up hope this cycle and decided to disassociate from the whole process - I’ve tested positive today.

🤞 it’s second time lucky 🤞

KT199 · 13/11/2025 15:25

Good luck @MocktailMe when starting your first IVF protocol. Hope everything goes smoothly and the retrieval and transfer is nice and easy for you. You’ve defo got this, I think the positivity alone of what the outcome of these procedures could be will really help your recovery, as mentally you’ll be in a good place. Look at everything you’ve been through also, without all that positivity surrounding it. I’m sure there will be difficult days but it’s all for a good cause and being upset or struggling doesn’t matter, but you will get through it. Got my fingers crossed for an extra special Xmas this year for you.

glad all is well @Waitingformiracle and @Tater05 your pregnancies will begin to fly by now. Then time will feel like it’s slowed to an almost stop towards the back end 🤣. Make the most of feeling fab as from experience you really do start to feel “pregnant” from about 32/33 weeks.

Good to have something to focus on and a plan @CharLdn.

Waitingformiracle · 10/11/2025 18:30

@MocktailMe four cycles and unlimited FETs is definitely as close to a guarantee as you’ll get I think! I know that the unknown is so hard to come to terms with though and I definitely struggled with that a lot. Amazing though that you now have a way of getting those dominant follicles on the side you lost your tube, science is really amazing when you think about it!

@Tater05 congratulations to you too on finding out it’s a girl! Yes two April girls 🩷! I’m due the end of April. And I totally agree with you, I’d have been so happy either way but it definitely helps solidify things knowing the gender. So nice you are feeling her move which I’m sure is so reassuring! Wishing you the best for your anomaly scan this Friday. I think it’s very natural to be nervous about it, it’s a huge hurdle but I’m sure all will be well and will be great to get such a detailed check on the baby.

Tater05 · 10/11/2025 16:38

@MocktailMe That's exciting you're starting so soon! Like you said, you've already been through so much in just the last year, you've got this ❤

@CharLdn That's a great mindset to have, being self employed I also threw everything I could at my work and it did help to distract my mind from TTC for the last few months (still obsessed over it quite a few days though...). Sending positive vibes for your TWW!

@lavafield Sounds like you're really in the newborn trenches at the moment. I hope it starts to get easier in the coming weeks, the sleep deprivation sounds hard enough!

@Waitingformiracle Best of luck for your scan, it's always hard not to worry a bit. Very annoying that you have to wait until January for your anomaly scan! It will roll around quickly but still it's frustrating. And congrats on finding out you're having a girl!

@KTB34 thanks for checking in! So glad to hear your little one is doing well!

I'm nearly at 20 weeks now, can't believe I'm about half way through! We had a gender scan a few weeks ago and also found out we're having a girl 🤗So 2 April girls in this thread @Waitingformiracle !? For me it feels more real knowing the gender, we'd have been happy either way but we just wanted to find out and now it feels like we can plan more. Also really starting to show now and can sometimes feel some kicks and movement which is really exciting, and again makes it seem real! Up till now I've hardly been able to believe it still! We have the anomaly scan this Friday which I am a bit anxious about, everything's been fine so far but when they're going to be looking so thoroughly it is hard not to worry a bit.
