Okay so I'm cycle day 37 today. As I said before I didn't bother tracking ovulation, although i reckon it was around the 26th ISH from EWCM etc. That would be CD 25 for me but as this is my first cycle following egg retrival and fresh transfer I was expecting it to be a bit messed up!

Anyway. I started to get impatient for my period, even though technically it's probably not due until tomorrow.

So I tested yesterday. And I've tested again today. I'm now absolutely terrified.

In 2.5 years I've never got pregnant from the tube on this side, the Dr said she thought the other was the dominant side etc etc. I'm actually so scared of another ectopic that I can't find any joy.

I also feel like blindsided. We weren't trying, I didn't think I could get pregnant any more, this is basically an accidental but much wanted pregnancy.

If I am as I think I am I'm around 13dpo. No bleeding but some very light brown discharge a couple of days ago. What do we think ladies.

Both tests look a bit darker IRL the blue one definitely.

@Tater05 maybe you need to invest in a litter picker? Ha ha I’m clumsy at base level so I think things can only get worse!

Tater05 · 04/02/2026 23:57

@CharLdn that's amazing, it'll really help with your movement throughout. I've only been keeping up with the dog walks every day and I'm sure that's why I can still move around fairly normally (and bend down to pick up all the stuff I keep dropping - getting real clumsy now).

CharLdn · 04/02/2026 19:18

@MocktailMe I’m still doing 2-3 strength sessions a week. During first trimester I was barely dragging myself out of bed but still managed two gym sessions a week and now I’m back up to 3.

I want to add in some cardio as well as 3 sessions of strength for second trimester while I still can I’m just lowering the weights a bit and making some modifications.

I’m off my adhd medication so exercise is absolutely essential for focus even if it’s just a walk. I’m also thinking about pregnancy yoga.

MocktailMe · 03/02/2026 12:54

Are you still working out to the same intensity @CharLdn ?

After my last transfer I still hit 10k minimum (I usually do 15-25!!!) but other than that I was resting loads, as I was told to. This time around because I've consciously worked on my activity levels all month I know I'm going to find it even harder winding back down.

Still waiting for my period to start - CD32 today but I didn't bother tracking ovulation. I'm impatient to begin the FET cycle, but also happy to make the most of my last medication free days for a long while!

@MocktailMe wishing you good luck on round 2 - honestly exercise is the only thing which keeps me sane!

Can’t believe @Tater05 and @Waitingformiracle you guys are in the final stretch. Time goes so quickly and slowly at the same time!

@lavafield @KTB34 so glad to hear you guys are now enjoying yhe sleep deprived life!

I’m now 15 weeks - 12 week scan was all good so now feeling a bit less anxious but still a bit of anxiety which I think is just normal.

It’s been lovely telling people and is beginning to feel real. First trimester hit me like a double decker bus- not fun but I’m so so grateful to be through it with no dramas.

Sending love to you all xx

Tater05 · 27/01/2026 22:14

@MocktailMe good to hear you're getting ready for the next round, sounds like you're really looking after yourself too which can only be a good thing! Best of luck for this next cycle.

@lavafield @KTB34 wow 3 and 5 months already! Hope you're not both too sleep deprived 😅😅

@Waitingformiracle I can imagine it must feel extra surreal going into the 3rd trimester after your first pregnancy. Exciting that you've bought the buggy! That's pretty much all I've bought too other than some clothes, we're slowly getting things sorted.

All good here too, I'm 31 weeks tomorrow, mad that I'm in the 10 week countdown and it's starting to feel a lot more real now.

Waitingformiracle · 26/01/2026 15:22

Hi everyone!!

@MocktailMewishing you the best of luck with your upcoming cycle. It sounds like you have been doing everything you can to get your body ready and all that hard work will pay off!! The fully mediated cycles do have a higher success rate too so fingers crossed 🤞

@lavafield@KTB34I can’t believe how fast your little guys are growing, where are the months going!!

All is going well here. 28 weeks this Saturday and it feels very surreal to be coming into the third trimester. A big milestone for me seeing as I’ve made it to the first and second trimester in my first pregnancy, but never to the third. I finally allowed myself to make a purchase for the baby and ordered our buggy and car seat which I’ve been putting off. So it’s all starting to feel quite real!

KTB34 · 26/01/2026 14:56

@MocktailMe glad to hear things are progressing! I hope this round works for you 🤞🏽

If it’s any consolation I had an appointment with a physio Saturday who specialises in pelvic health. She said mine was in good shape considering the birth I had and said that me exercising in pregnancy probably contributed a lot !! So keep going!

We are good over here, little man is 5 months this weekend. It goes so fast 😩

@lavafield 3 months already, wow that has gone quick! I felt like that around the 12 week mark and then the 4 month regression hit 😂

lavafield · 24/01/2026 20:52

Hello everyone! @MocktailMe sounds like a good plan, to get in the best shape physically and mentally now! Also, when you do get pregnant and have a baby you just don't have a lot of time for all those things, so it is good to enjoy them now!

Good luck for your new cycle, I do feel positive vibes there! ☺️

I am fine here, the baby boy is now 3 months old and we have finally fallen into some sort of a routine. He now smiles and giggles and babbles, so it is getting interesting to interact with him. Fragmented sleep is still very much here though!

How are all the new mamas here, and how are pregnancies progressing ladies? And those who are TTC best of luck this year! ✨

MocktailMe · 24/01/2026 14:59

Hey :)

I am just waiting for my period in order to begin my FET round - should be starting meds in around ten days as I am doing a fully medicated round.

Since the last one failed I've been trying to get my body in the best state possible - lots of walking, weight lifting, yoga, home cooking and meditation etc. I'm not convinced these things actually make a difference in IVF success but it has also really helped my mind state which is important!

How are you zx

Hello everyone, how is everyone doing ?

CharLdn · 30/12/2025 18:46

Sorry to hear that @MocktailMe biggest hugs ❤️ Hopefully you can get plan B going soon xx

Waitingformiracle · 30/12/2025 13:28

@MocktailMethats how I felt too, I also felt like we hadn’t been successful in so long with my body doing its own thing so I didn’t have much trust in it!

MocktailMe · 30/12/2025 13:20

I think if I have a choice I would also go with medicated. Rough as the drugs have been at the end of the day I went an extremely medicated route for retrieval and it was very successful.

My ovulation shifts a little too, and driving 2 hours to the clinic and back every day for a week to keep checking seems like a pain! That said, I will go with whatever is reccomended. I'm hoping I won't have to wait long to get the FET booked.

OP posts:
Waitingformiracle · 30/12/2025 13:13

@MocktailMeyour body has been through so much, the drug free break will no doubt be a welcome break. In terms of the FET protocol, my clinic was very open to letting me choose as I was ovulating ok on my own. They said that they see slightly better outcomes with fully medicated cycles so I decided to go with that because I wanted to throw the kitchen sink at it! Of course it means 12 weeks of drugs if the FET is successful which is a lot on your body especially after you had to do the down regulation on top of the rest, but ultimately I felt it was worth it if I meant the transfer would work. Having said that I’ve read of lots of women who choose modified natural and swear by it! I’m sure it’s very nice to not have to take all the drugs and let your body do the work. I hope your clinic will get you in to talk through this recent transfer and what your next steps will be, and no doubt give you their own opinion about what will work best

MocktailMe · 30/12/2025 12:54

I am greatful I won't have to be doing another egg retrieval (at least for the foreseeable if at all) as the down regulation/stims period was much physically harder than the post transfer progesterone has been. I still have to take the progesterone for another 2 days (why?!) but after that I will finally be drug free for the first time in weeks and weeks, which I am looking forward to.

After the egg retrival I was so sore, and really swollen and uncomfortable, I can't help but think it can't have been the easiest time on my body.

But the stats are basically a coin flip each transfer, so it really might just have been not our time. I do want to go again as quickly as possible. As much as i would like to give my body a break I have been TTC for 2 years 3 months. Delaying for any reason is just intolerable to me now.

@Waitingformiracle I have heard the stats are better on FET - I'm wondering whether the clinic will push for natural medicated cycle.

So sad, @MocktailMe , as we all know how much you wanted to get pregnant by Christmas / this year. I would feel numb too. But I agree, frozen embryos and a second attempt is often more successful, so don't despair!

Waitingformiracle · 29/12/2025 18:15

Oh @MocktailMe I am so so sorry 😔 this is so unfair. Take this time to grieve ❤️‍🩹 this is a loss in and of itself so just know that we are here to help you through this. I know it may not be comfort right now, but I hope it helps to know that you have lots of lovely embryos frozen and when you feel ready, the next time it will be a lot more straightforward without having to do the ER. Plus they do say that frozen cycles have a slightly higher success rate so there is so much hope 🙏

Tater05 · 29/12/2025 18:05

So sorry @MocktailMe ❤️ this time might not have worked but it was the first one, you still have all those healthy blasts in the freezer. It must feel heavy thinking about going again, hopefully next time you speak to your consultant they'll help with that

MocktailMe · 29/12/2025 15:25

Hi guys glad you enjoyed Christmas/hope those who haven't been on yet had a good one.

Sadly 9dp5dt today (14dpo equivalent) and stark negative. I can't even say I'm surprised, anything that can go wrong usually does. I feel mostly numb to it all right now and weary at the thought of having to go again.

CharLdn · 26/12/2025 20:46

@KT199 I feel like Christmas can be intense socialising at the best of times let alone with a newborn!

I’ve been enjoying Xmas I live close to my parents who always host so it’s been good to dip in and out of the festivities 🥳 I’ve felt pretty tired but my mum and sister both said they felt better at week 12 so 🤞 and that’s only two weeks away now. My sister also had a miscarriage before she had her kids so is very empathetic about nerves!

KT199 · 26/12/2025 19:09

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Day!!

We are doing good thank you @lavafield and @KTB34.. rocking out in the newborn trenches 😂 Christmas has been lovely however I’m glad it’s over. There was too much expectation on us to socialise and everyone wanting to see/hold our little one. We are adjusting to our new life with the milk monster who summons us every few hours and I would have preferred to have locked our doors and let no one in. But, that is settling now thankfully so we can really soak up all the special moments as a 3 (and nap whenever we get the chance!!) How were your first christmases with your little ones?

@MocktailMe Got my fingers crossed for you.

@CharLdn @Waitingformiracle @Tater05 hope you are all doing okay and enjoying pregnancy (where possible)

MocktailMe · 22/12/2025 09:30

@KTB34 @Waitingformiracle I think it's completely normal to think a lot about our lost babies at this time of year - but I don't think you should ever feel guilty for moving on with your lives. We will never forget them, no matter how many more babies you might have one day ❤️

Thanks everyone for all your kind wishes and for all your own updates! I'm not sure how I feel about Pregnant until proven otherwise - I'm framing it more as giving it a really good go 😄trying to minimise the fall if it doesn't work! Although mostly I'm trying to stay in a neutral/positive area.

This is our absolute busiest time at work, and I work as normal over Christmas we don't close, so the good thing is I really am being kept busy and don't have too much time to worry!

KTB34 · 21/12/2025 13:06

@lavafield I definitely felt after 6 weeks things got a little more settled. However 😂 our little one is 16 weeks on Tuesday and oh my he very much demands everything lol! He talks loads, can smile and giggle, has started to roll on his front and has found his hands and feet. I also think we are starting this 4 month sleep regression I hear so much about so I feel we’ve gone back to newborn days! But I wouldn’t change any of it 💙
