Hi everyone!

I can't quite believe it but after a while year we only went and filled the last thread.

I'll tag you all below so that you can find me!

If anyone silently reading along wants to keep following - here's the place. If anyone wants to read the fertility journey for the last year have a look through the last thread.

Hi @GorgeousWizard , I'm sorry you've taken MocktailMe's reply negatively. It's not that you're not welcome to join, you absolutely are, it's more that you probably won't gain as much from this thread anymore. I found it really helpful keeping in touch with others who are still going through TTC but this thread is more likely to be updates on how pregnancies and the newborn stages are going.
I do wish you all the best and I hope you're not in the TTC trenches too much longer, I haven't forgotten how tough it is. And I hope reading through these posts gives you some hope! X

MocktailMe · 05/06/2025 09:28

Absolutely you can join us. Feel free to have a read through the old thread to catch up. We've got pregnancies, IVF, natural trying...all sorts and lots of advice.

Update for you ladies - HSG done and my remaining tube is showing as clear. I'm cautiously optimistic about this and ready to get back on the TTC train.

The title of this thread is 'Looking for Others in the Same Boat... WHERE WE ALL GET OUR BABIES.' I am 33, have been trying for over half a year—with the last 3 months being heavily tracked with tests and apps—and I am navigating a diagnosed fertility condition (adenomyosis), so I am in this boat.
It's interesting you say I'd be better off finding a new thread because 'all the OG ladies are pregnant.' Back when you were still in the trenches, you welcomed a member trying for 6 months by telling them, 'Absolutely you can join us... We've got pregnancies, IVF, natural trying... all sorts.'
It seems the moment you got your own positive test, your empathy vanished and you decided to start gatekeeping. Flexing your pregnancy on someone who just expressed sadness about their period being due is incredibly unkind. I’ll happily find a space with a bit more basic empathy.

What a wonderful update @MocktailMe!! It must be an anxious time but hope you are as relaxed and calm as it can possibly be! Will be thinking about you and that little developing human! ❤️

KTB34 · 29/05/2026 12:01

Hello ladies hope everyone is well!

Congratulations on the the arrival of your baby girl @Waitingformiracle

@MocktailMe this is such good news !!!! Please keep us posted!

@CharLdn good luck in the last few weeks!

CharLdn · 29/05/2026 11:44

@MocktailMe this is so great to see 🤞 everything crossed!!!!!

I was an obsessive tester and then had a 6 week/8 week and 12 week scan.

It took me really until the 20 week scan got my anxiety to calm down.

I’m good now 32 weeks and feeling very round and slow but if I think back to this time last year I just feel so incredibly greatful! We started ante natal classes so it’s all feeling very real.

We’re also on 4 week scans so that’s actually quite reassuring.

Keep us posted @MocktailMe ❤️

MocktailMe · 29/05/2026 11:33

Thank you so much.

I think the very first thing I want to do is do a 6 week blood test to find out the sex of the baby. That might sound totally crazy but I think it will help me bond with the baby.

I can already see myself spending a fortune on early scans!!! But I do want to have the first one be at either the clinic or EPU for sure and I know that won't be until 7 weeks usually.

I know I will find it near impossible to stop testing. I know I will test daily at least until probably 20 days post transfer!! Then I expect still every few days to check!

@MocktailMe my best advice is just to take it one day at a time and do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel a bit more reassured and get through the first trimester. For me that meant taking a LOT of pregnancy tests, honestly I took them for weeks. I also did a number of private betas just to ease my worries. And I also booked in a lot of private scans once I got to 6/7 weeks onwards. My husband thought I was being a bit obsessive but honestly I just needed to do that and it did help somewhat. Once I got that first private scan and saw there was a baby in there with a heartbeat it helped a lot. I didn’t stop worrying a single day of my pregnancy being totally honest, but it became more manageable every day and once I started feeling movement etc it was so reassuring. For me I also found limiting time on social media and forums was helpful because I saw a lot of triggering comments about loss which totally sent me spiralling. Pregnancy after loss is SO hard and all of the innocence and joy does get stolen from us, but it can still be wonderful and I did really try to let myself be happy and bond with baby at the same time while guarding my heart

@MocktailMe I know it must be so nerve wracking and hard to keep the faith when you’ve been burned so many times. What is your “test date” for your clinic (as if you could wait until then 🤣 I certainly did not).

All is well with her thank you 🩷 exhausted but so happy xx

I'm so pleased to hear!

My OTD is Wednesday so still a few nerve wracking days left! I do think if it goes smoothly to there I might feel better? Then if it goes smoothly to 6 weeks, then the 7 week scan, then the 8 weeks maybe I will calm down?

It's just so so hard 🫣 this is the third time I've been pregnant this year. BUT it is the only time I've been on the blood thinners which really should be giving me a better chance this time.

I'm 33 TTC 3 month also, aunt flow due Sat 🥲 feeling the same

You might be better off finding a new thread at this stage, all the OG ladies on here are pregnant/have children, and I'm currently newly pregnant again following IVF. Have a read through as there's loads of discussion and advice and experience from my journey of 2.5 years and the other ladies too. Very best of luck x

@Waitingformiracle Huge congratulations on a safe arrival of your miracle baby girl!! Excellent news! I have also been thinking about you! wishing you a smooth recovery, take it easy - it does get better every single day!

@MocktailMe
How was your transfer?! How are you feeling? I am glad to hear you were in a top form for the transfer! Yay!

CharLdn · 17/05/2026 21:11

@Waitingformiracle huge congratulations ❤️ what beautiful news. Hope recovery improves be kind to yourself ❤️

@MocktailMe good luck for the next transfer and glad you’re feeling in good shape! Hope the exercise is helping you mentally too ❤️

Tater05 · 10/05/2026 10:13

Congratulations @Waitingformiracle ! I was thinking about you, so glad to hear she's arrived safely and I hope you're getting on ok in these early days, especially with a more difficult recovery. Listen to your body, it'll tell you if you've over done it 😅

@MocktailMe I'll be thinking of you on the 21st and have my fingers crossed! You're doing amazingly keeping such good care of yourself through everything, your mind and body will thank you for it xx

MocktailMe · 06/05/2026 20:49

Oh that's lovely news @Waitingformiracle (you'll have to change your name now!). I was actually thinking about you just this morning you know. I'm so pleased your baby is safely here. You deserve it so so much and I hope you enjoy every moment.

I'm currently on my estrogen at the moment, and hopefully will be having my transfer on the 21st May. I'm doing regular 5k runs at the moment and I am physically in much better shape than I was a month ago after the most recent loss. Praying this will be our lucky miracle, but trying not to expect anything.

Hi ladies, I just wanted to let you know that our miracle baby girl arrived safely this day two weeks ago 🩷 I had an induction turned c section and the recovery has been more difficult than I expected but we are just so happy she is here and safe. I hope you are all keeping well! @MocktailMe I am thinking of you and hope that preparations for your next transfer are going well!

lavafield · 10/04/2026 08:03

@MocktailMe Good to get your updates! I am in awe how resilient and strong you are, keep going! Adding blood thinners might be the thing you needed!? I know someone who failed to get pregnant for many years until she started taking blood thinners early. Wishing you all the best for your next transfer! ❤️

@WaitingformiracleYes, that was also a factor for my decision, inductions can escalate to emergency sections. And recovery from an emergency section is much more difficult as the body has already gone through the stresses of the induction

MocktailMe · 09/04/2026 17:12

As my update, I'm due to have another transfer next cycle. I'm only CD12 currently and will begin drugs on my next CD1 - so just a couple of weeks time. Transfer is likely to be towards the end of May.

We are adding blood thinners this time, which might help avoid early miscarriage, if this transfer also takes. They didn't want me to do a double transfer so we will be sticking with a single again.

OP posts:
MocktailMe · 09/04/2026 17:05

Not sure it will ever be something I need to worry about, but if I'm ever lucky enough to make it to term I already know I want an ELCS.

Emergency surgery was the scariest thing I've been through, I'd much rather have a planned section and not worry about needing an emergency one. Not that there's a right choice, but if you choose one you shouldn't feel bad.

Waitingformiracle · 09/04/2026 13:59

Thanks so much for sharing that @lavafield it’s really good to hear from someone who has been through it! I’ll certainly see if the consultant will give me his opinion even though I know they’re not allowed away us either way. I feel like there are such pros and cons for both. I also know that inductions can often end in sections and I’ve heard that recovery from an emergency section can be even worse than recovery from a planned section so it’s really hard to know what to do but I’ll try get a good steer today. I have heard that too about babies often not being as large as they estimated!

lavafield · 09/04/2026 13:39

@Waitingformiracle good luck with your appointment! I remember having to decide at 36 weeks which method of delivery to choose. Consultants were all lovely and kept telling me either induction or a c-section but that natural birth was still possible if I wished so. It was very hard to decide so we just pushed and asked the consultants to just give me their honest opinion, and they said if they were me they would go for a section. They are not allowed to really say that and to influence such decisions, especially as sections put a financial burden on the NHS. But I am glad they did, and that sealed my decision. I wanted to take most risks upon myself instead of my baby taking any risks. BUT! Everyone I know including myself were told baby is growing big on scans, and then they were all born smaller than projected. Because of that part of me still wonders if I should have gone for a natural birth but on the whole I was very pleased with the predictability of the elective section and how calm and smooth all went. It feels really rough in the first week, I won’t lie, then after two weeks it was pretty much back to normal for me! Since this is probably my only child the wait period of at least one year until next pregnancy is not very relevant for me.

B242 · 09/04/2026 10:07

thank you such for the advice! I’m definitely taking it on board! 💖 I’ve supported a few friends through their TTC journey and now it’s my time, they’re all a little too busy with their children to pick up the phone as often as I did.
(on top of a very pushy mother who’s so desperate for grandkids she’s been harassing me since before I even met my husband, so no way am I discussing it with her!)

@MocktailMehope you’re doing okay and I’m genuinely hoping for the best for you. I’ve read some of the thread but not all of it as it’s quite long.

@charLdnand @Waitingformiraclecongratulations on your pregnancies! I’m so happy for you both! 💖 they really are a blessing.

I’ve got the clear blue ovulation tests, and am testing daily at the moment to try and build up a picture, I figured that it would take a few months to build up a proper baseline (I’ve always been a bit of a nerd so I’m kind of trying to treat it like a science experiment and control the variables I can! 😅) and I’ll definitely be checking out that podcast.

thanks again so much, you ladies are lovely, and deserve the absolute world 💖
