@Figtree11 I’m CD 16ish post miscarriage we’ve decided to try even though I haven’t had a period as it was very early and I feel physically fine.

My LH is just rising so I think I’m ovulating now.

CharLdn · 20/07/2025 18:12

@MocktailMe big hugs - the constant hope/disappointment cycle is exhausting ❤️

Its so deeply unfair and it’s important not to brush past our feelings - all of them.

I do find it particularly hard when luteal phase sets in that we have to deal with being on AND all of the feelings too.

Sending solidarity!

MocktailMe · 20/07/2025 17:59

@Figtree11 welcome back glad you enjoyed your holiday.

The sadness is all encompassing at the moment, I feel overwhelmed with grief. We had the funeral for our baby two weeks ago and honestly the hope of the current cycle basically powered me through. Feel very empty now grieving the baby and the recent lost hope. I do hope I'll be snapping out of this soon. I know there are brighter days ahead.

@CharLdn the trying not to stress, but stressing at the same time is definitely what it’s like 😂 Honestly I have found going on holiday so beneficial for me. I manage to switch off about TTC and it helps so much. Does make it difficult coming back home though! Where abouts in your cycle are you?

CharLdn · 20/07/2025 12:10

@MocktailMe and @Tater05 its good to have plans.

I’ve found that thinking what the next steps are has helped me deal with when the present doesn’t go how you want.

@Tater05 I’ve found positive test results give me mixed feelings like it’s great there’s nothing wrong… but also tell me whyyyy?!

I’d definitely see if you go private if you can get a hycosy as I think that helped me.

@Figtree11 welcome! I’m also trying first cycle after miscarriage and also feeling familiar stress. But also always trying not to stress of course….

I’m currently trying to book a holiday so I’ve got something to look forward to which isn’t focussed on TTC!

Figtree11 · 20/07/2025 11:40

Hi ladies, I’m so sorry I introduced myself on here & posted a couple of times and then haven’t been on again. I’ve been on holiday, and it does wonders for the mental health! Back home & 7dpo and already feeling the stress of TTC again creeping in.

@MocktailMe your post further back about the sadness of life that doesn’t have a child really resonates with me. Having no children and 3 losses under my belt I felt what your wrote completely. I’m so sorry AF arrived. I hope once you speak to the clinic tomorrow you’ll feel like a step in the right direction

@Tater05 fingers crossed for this cycle for you. I don’t feel hopeful for this cycle for me. It’s the first one trying since my last MMC, and due to DP being away we only managed to dtd 3 days before ovulation & day of ovulation

MocktailMe · 19/07/2025 21:41

Hey @Tater05 I'm pleased to hear your good test results! I know it must be frustrating to not have an answer but it does mean that you have better chances.

Thank you. Today's been a bit of a struggle but I am trying to remain positive for the future.

OP posts:
Tater05 · 19/07/2025 10:06

@MocktailMe sorry your period arrived. Yes at least you know you did everything you could that cycle. You're taking the next step, and as daunting as IVF might be the pressure's off you a bit and you're in the hands of professionals. It's good to get the ball rolling on it.

Tater05 · 19/07/2025 10:01

How's everyone doing?

I'm 8DPO today and have felt weirdly hopeful this cycle as we've done everything right, although we all know that's not how this works 😅 but I'm symptom spotting like mad anyway.

My progesterone test came back and looked good, my husband's blood tests came back and literally everything was bang on average. Other than his 1% morphology we can't see any reason why we haven't got pregnant yet, it's so frustrating.
If my period comes next week I'm going to phone the gyno clinic to see if I'm anywhere near the top of the list and if not I'm going private. So at least we have a plan!

MocktailMe · 19/07/2025 09:53

CD 1 again :( Disappointing as I ovulated right towards the end of our 10 day trying streak. At least I know I couldn't have done any more. It's possible I ovulated on the side without a tube.

We have now chosen our IVF clinic. I'll be ringing my consultants office on Monday to let them know which we have chosen and to tell them to proceed and send my blood results to them 🩷

Here's to a new cycle and most importantly a new chapter ✨

@MocktailMe the familiar waiting game! ❤️

MocktailMe · 17/07/2025 15:38

Hey char hopefully with the post hycosy and raised fertility from recently being pregnant you may well catch again this month. What good news that ovulation has returned so quickly.

I'll have everything crossed for you!

I'm currently 11DPO was negative this morning, so I suppose I'll have my answer for this cycle within the next 2-3 days either way.

OP posts:
CharLdn · 17/07/2025 07:24

@AnotherLiv I’m waiting for ovulation so also constantly peeing in a pot.

@MocktailMe I’m back from holiday and waiting for ovulation - had a bit of stretchy discharge and I’m CD13 post miscarriage so not sure when it will be.

We’ve BD a bit and it doesn’t feel weird so I think we’ll start trying every few days just to cover it. I’m off work this week so we’ve got time..

How are you feeling?

AnotherLiv · 15/07/2025 18:24

Fingers crossed for you this cycle - still time to get a positive!! 🤞🤞

Yes very similar! Our doctor told us that once we have this next appointment we’d start the IVF process as soon as I got my next period. Me and my husband have already had all the tests/referrals we need - we’re dealing with low sperm motility, on the borderline for whether we would need ICSI or not.

Totally get where you’re coming from - even having one feels like we’d be so lucky! Especially being the wrong side of 30.

I’m currently CD9. So nearly back into the part of the cycle where I feel like I’m constantly peeing in a little pot 😂

MocktailMe · 15/07/2025 17:52

Hello @AnotherLiv of course you can. Sounds like you're in the long haul train too with a lot of us!

You and I are in the same boat - after this current cycle and the next we will be starting our IVF journey - or continuing it I suppose as we do have the referral and ive had the bloods taken ready.

It's particularly tough having all of this when TTC#1 imo, we've decided we won't TTC again if we are lucky enough to just have one! but dealing with the stress and sadness in a life that doesn't have a child to take up some of the energy is very difficult - not to mention being on the other side of motherhood.

Whereabouts are you in your cycle?

I'm now at 9dpo and BFN this morning, so still in the limbo era.

Ladies, any updates from the last few days?

OP posts:
AnotherLiv · 15/07/2025 17:19

Would it be ok if I joined! I’m also TTC#1 since Jan 2024 - had a few months off for some tests and my rubella vaccine, but never even a hint of a positive test. Have had a few NHS appointments and next step for us is IVF. We’ve got an appointment for September to start - so 2 more cycles to try naturally 🤞🤞

MocktailMe · 12/07/2025 22:25

@Waitingformiracle absolutely - id stick to some cheapies followed by a digital if you think you see even the faintest line - it would be too cruel to see a line like that after the transfer!

@Tater05 yay for ovulation! I'm glad it's happened and before the test too, I think that timing should be absolutely fine id just be sure to say the date you think you ovulated. That test would typically be done day 21 when ovulating CD14 so its not too far out!

OP posts:
Tater05 · 12/07/2025 18:56

@Waitingformiracle I think I can see the faintest shadow. It is hard to tell though, definitely keep testing anyway. I really hope it wasn't an evap, that would have been a nasty one if it is!

@CharLdn I'm glad you're energy's come back, the exercise is good to focus on! Good for your mind and body too.

@MocktailMe that sounds like a potential good sign 🤞🏼
I finally got my LH surge two days ago so I think I ovulated yesterday (felt like I did too) at CD 21. I have a blood test for progesterone next week so hopefully ovulating a couple of days later won't skew the results too much. At least I actually managed to ovulate before the test this time 😂

Waitingformiracle · 12/07/2025 17:47

Thanks @MocktailMe I do remember that happening to you. I feel like it must just be a nasty evap but my god, if that’s the case I am so cross with first response. I said to my hubby today that I won’t be using that brand when testing after my
transfer as I can’t go through that emotional rollercoaster after the transfer!

MocktailMe · 12/07/2025 08:33

I can still see that whisper too. I do remember around a year ago I had a faint positive around 8dpo then immedielty started bleeding and it faded away - I assumed it was a chemical at the time (did mention it at the time but it was so long away I wouldn't expect anyone to remember!) so possibly this is the same or perhaps it was a nasty indent/evap? I'm sorry anyway as this must be a real rollercoaster. I would probably keep testing anyway, but no matter this outcome you have your embryo ready to implant at the end of the month so even if that goes fully negative this month still has lots of hope left 🩷

OP posts:
Waitingformiracle · 12/07/2025 07:58

Hi @MocktailMe @CharLdn @Tater05 @lavafield today’s test is pretty negative. I can actually see a whisper of a line, and if I hadn’t had that strong line yesterday I would probably be excited by it, but I think this must have been either a false positive or maybe a very early chemical? I’m confusing to say the least. I’m only 10 DPO (in fact some apps put me at 9 DPO) so I’m still so early. But I am just going to take it that I’m out and if I get a nice surprise then great, otherwise on to my transfer!

Also @MocktailMe I did not know about opening up the tests, this will be a new obsession unlocked 🤣🤣 that sounds very promising about your symptoms fingers crossed 🤞

@CharLdn glad to hear you are feeling better. A holiday is just what the doctor ordered!

TTC#1 - Looking for Others in the Same Boat PART TWO THE SEQUEL WHERE WE ALL GET OUR BABIES???!
CharLdn · 12/07/2025 07:01

@MocktailMe oooh everything crossed 🤞

I’m counting my miscarriage as CD1 for me so I’m about CD7 I’m going on holiday this week so am not going to start tracking hormones yet on Mira. I think we’re going to try and just relax (lol) on holiday.

I think when we’re back on weds I’ll see where I am but last time it was my CM which told me I was ovulating so I’m going to track more on body signs and see how I feel.

My energy is really good now post pregnancy and I’ve completely stopped bleeding so I am feeling physically recovered. I’ve been back in the gym too which is bringing me joy and I’ve got a 5k race in 10 days time so I’m in my happy exercise place!

MocktailMe · 11/07/2025 23:49

@Waitingformiracle your much more sane than me I've been checking back for an update but hopefully you've sensibly decided to wait to retest in the morning!

@Tater05 how are things with you now?

@CharLdn any clue where your cycle is at now?

For me I'm getting tentatively excited. I've had lots of creamy white stretchy/stringy discharge today at 6DPO which is extremely unusual and I know can be a good sign. Trying not to lose my head as even if an egg HAS fertilised the implantation won't have happened yet, and historically that's where it all goes wrong! But I am counting down the days to testing.

OP posts:
MocktailMe · 11/07/2025 16:50

I really do have everything crossed for you that this develops into a blazing BFP you deserve it so much.

But you know what, if it doesn't, you STILL have an embryo transfer at the end of the month 😍

Either way, July is looking so so good for you. Please update us! Xxx

OP posts:
CharLdn · 11/07/2025 16:16

@Waitingformiracle oh my god!!

Everything crossed! Mine started out that way when I got my BFP - I found first response the most sensitive.

Also (as an obsessive tester) if you shine your phone torch through the back of it you can see it a bit clearer.

I was doing tests at 4am in the morning to catch first morning urine lol 😂

Keep us all posted!!!!
