@Tater05 thank you! It felt really promising as it came up within the three minutes and even dh could see a line! But I have done an IC and CB ultra early digital that were both negative, so think it’s just an awful indent line 😫

Tater05 · 23/07/2025 16:59

@CharLdn I know what you mean, it's not like we weren't hoping for this to happen and yet it still comes as a shock 😂but on the flip side I think I would have been less shocked if it had happened in the first few months.

@MocktailMe I'm just sitting tight waiting for this symptoms to hit. Trying to get as much work done as possible before that because I signed myself up for quite a lot as a distraction from TTC 😅Those are good regular cycles! I'll be rooting for your right ovary to do its job.
I don't want to be that person who says 'have you tried this' because I know how annoying that is after so long, BUT this cycle I tried the cough medicine trick for increasing CM. I already got EWCM with every cycle but it increased it even more and I don't want to say it was definitely that that helped me conceive but after 17 months of nothing to trying this and it works... I think there could be something in it.

@AlleycatMarie welcome! So sorry to hear you've been going through this for so long. If it's come up within the window then that's promising, do you have any other brands you can test with? The Boots early tests seem to be good if you can get one. Fingers are crossed for you!!

@KTB34 can't believe you're already 34 weeks! I hope it's all going smoothly. Same to @KT199 and @lavafield!

KTB34 · 23/07/2025 13:43

@MocktailMe thank you lovely!

I’m with @KT199 and watching behind the scenes ! There’s lots of positive news ✨

I’m 34w 5d today, feeling very grateful each day!

Keep going ladies I love reading the updates x

AlleycatMarie · 23/07/2025 13:42

Hi ladies, can I join please? Been off these forums for a while. Have been ttc for years, 4 failed IVF rounds etc.

Did a test this morning as opk is positive and I should have ovulated 2 weeks ago. I got this. Could this be a vvvv faint bfp or is it a nasty indent? Came up within 3 minutes but not sure it has colour in the line? Any thoughts appreciated!

Thanks @KT199 🩷

Please feel free to give updates, you may be at a different stage but we all started here! Id like to keep hearing bits of what's ahead as it's what we all hope for and are working towards. Same for you @lavafield and @KTB34 !

Aww @KT199 - we appreciate having you as a cheerleader ❤️

KT199 · 23/07/2025 10:37

Awwww congrats @Tater05, like @lavafield I also found easy at homes good for looking at progression although every day it was abit confusing so would stick with every other if you can to track ‘progression’. I found the boots one in your picture great also for the initial confirmation as there was no squinting needed. I used the clear blue weekly but, there is a lot of women who report they never get 3+ despite having a healthy baby 9 months on so I would maybe not rely too heavily on them beyond 2-3 if your prone to get anxious over that kind of thing.

I think having a plan for IVF is wonderful @MocktailMe. The sadness of AF period is horrendous but I hope your coming back into the hopeful period now your coming towards tracking for ovulation.

Good luck @CharLdn for this cycle!!

I’m keeping up from behind the scenes and love the updates, but don’t want to post all that much about me as you guys are still going through it. But one day soon I hope we are all on a new thread in the pregnancy section discussing our woes before getting our healthy babies ✨ 💖

MocktailMe · 23/07/2025 10:10

Id still be tracking (because of course I would 😂) but I'll use one step next time as I think they were much better for actually showing the line changes personally versus the easy at home. Plus weekly digital with weeks - although I didn't like the news they gave me the fact that my 2-3 weeks took longer than expected was an early sign that I needed to stay cautious. I do trust them as tests go even though it was hard to see!

I bet your symptoms will be kicking in any day now - I was feeling and being sick by 20dpo although you may get some pleasanter ones but I bet they won't be long now! It's such a strange feeling like it's written on your face even tho no one else knows!!!

@CharLdn that's a brilliant chart and great timing there!! I do hope you'll be getting lucky this month 🤞 🤞 🤞

I'm only cycle day 5 right now so we will be gearing up to try soon, I'll be tracking my CM again (still faint traces of blood from period currently so I'm not there just yet!). We are going to throw the whole kitchen sink at it again this month because why not, I'm not expecting to hear from the IVF clinic for at least 3-4 weeks at this stage. I correctly identified my EWCM these last two cycles, and my three cycles post surgery have been 34 days, 28 days and 30 days which is all normal healthy and quite short and predictable - so I'm hoping for same again and ovulation somewhere around CD14-18! Praying this month might just be our month...come on right ovary!

*meant to say was still stark white at 8DPO

lavafield · 23/07/2025 09:49

It is breaking news! I also couldn't believe when I saw a faint line after staring at stark whites for months.
I actually found easy at homes very accurate, and never had indents there. I got my first shade of the line at 9DPO (was stark white at 10DPO), confirmed later the same day with digitals like yours @Tater05 .
I personally was obsessed testing with easy at homes daily until like 25DPO 🙈, I know it is crazy, but I wanted to make sure the line is still there and is progressing well. I quite liked the digital clear blue showing the weeks too, though it changed to 2-3 and then to 3+ way quicker than once a week!

CharLdn · 23/07/2025 09:11

@Tater05 also re the tests - my easy at homes didn’t go positive till day 14 - so I think they’re definitely less sensitive.

I find it so funny how getting pregnant feels like wildly BREAKING NEWS when you’ve been actively trying for so long 😂

Tater05 · 23/07/2025 08:36

Thanks everyone 🥰
@MocktailMe I don't think I'll be using them again, they don't seem that reliable. I was so worried they were giving me false hope.

@CharLdn yes I am still in shock 😂 I don't have any symptoms yet so it's hard to believe it's real.
You have a good looking chart there and it looks like you covered the window well! Fingers crossed for your 2WW 🤞🏼

CharLdn · 23/07/2025 08:07

Thought you guys might appreciate my obsessive data tracking - definitely caught pre ovulation this month for TTC…

Don’t have any more shagging in us this month so we’re now back in two week wait land 🤞

CharLdn · 23/07/2025 08:04

@Tater05 yesss 👏 👏 👏

So thrilled for you ❤️

Are you in shock?!

lavafield · 22/07/2025 22:36

Fantastic BFP @Tater05 ! Here is to a sticky one! 🙌

MocktailMe · 22/07/2025 22:13

The ten and eleven dpo I would have thought were likely early positive, the 9 I would not. Those tests take a while to show progression though - I tracked my last pregnancy on them whilst having bloods taken and whilst I knew from bloods the HCG had more than doubled the actual line difference was barely even noticeable! I think that BFP Digi is much better for spelling it out!

Congrats @Tater05 !

Tater05 · 22/07/2025 21:40

Thank you @MocktailMe! Will definitely keep you all posted, you've all kept me sane in this thread over the last year!

Thanks @KTB34, yes that's good to know!

I'm attaching my easy@home tests in case anyone ends up in the same position with them, it was so hard to tell if they were indents or faint positives. I still can't believe it went from the 11dpo with FMU to the BFP later in the day.

KTB34 · 22/07/2025 18:04

@Tater05 congrats to you !!!!! If it helps my first test post MC was 1-2 weeks also on a digital x

MocktailMe · 22/07/2025 16:50

Oh congratulations 🩷🩷🩷✨✨✨✨

Your first BFP and it's SO long awaited 🥰

I know it's extremely early days (and I think we have all had it go various ways) but there is no reason to be anything but excited and positive and so so pleased! I'm really happy for you.

Keep posting as I know these next few weeks can be such a whirlwind!

What lovely news x

Tater05 · 22/07/2025 15:36

Guys 🥹 I'm in total shock.

17 cycles, not even a hint of a second line, and I've finally got my BFP!!!

I've spent the last few days going crazy over very faint lines on cheapies, they looked like indents but for someone who's only ever seen absolute stark negatives it was hard not to get my hopes up. So today I went to Boots for more tests and absolutely was not expecting this second line! I tried the digital and finally saw those words!

I'm only 11dpo so it's still early and I know it can still go either way so I'm trying to keep a realistic head on, but after a year and a half with nothing this is huge progress, however it goes from here.

I would also like to say that this month is easily the most obsessive I've ever been about it, so I'm not sure about the whole 'relax and it'll happen' thing. I've been the opposite of relaxed!

Figtree11 · 21/07/2025 12:31

@CharLdn it really is, and I’m an inpatient person so hate waiting 😆 last time I tested the day my period was due, so think I’ll do the same this time. But I just had a strong feeling I was pregnant before because of sore boobs & cramping. But I can’t remember if I had symptoms with the 2 pregnancies before that.
Thank you - let’s see what the week brings!

@MocktailMe I’m similar, I try keep busy & tell myself I’m not thinking about it. But then I am thinking about it as I’m telling myself not to think about it! I had such strong symptoms last time that I guess I just feel disappointed already which is stupid.
Thats great that you’ve got the ball rolling. And even better that your work has an ivf policy. I think it helps knowing you’ve got some next steps starting to form. My DP would be the same as yours, but I definitely have the same mindset as you! It’s hard to stay positive

MocktailMe · 21/07/2025 11:30

I know how hard it is but try not to count yourself out at 7dpo - it really is too early to call it at that point. It's impossible though to switch off from thinking about it - I try to keep myself busy and out and about as much as I can but it's still there in the background!

I've called my consultants secretary today and confirmed which IVF clinic to send the bloods to. We have two in our vicinity and I've looked through a lot of reviews and do feel happy with our selection. I've had to forward my HSG result on, which I've done, so that's it now - nothing more for me to do as yet.

Unbelievably, I've discovered my workplace has an IVF Policy - this is insane considering we don't get sick pay and I earn pennies above minimum wage 😄 However, it's all good news, and means I can have some paid days off per cycle. So I will also be penning a letter to HR to make them aware soon.

Feels honestly quite anticlimactic now 😂 the doctor is on annual leave this week so I know nothing will be sent to the clinic until next week BUT the ball is rolling!

Until then, I'm on what will be the last day of my period (CD 3) and gearing up to go again. My boyfriend thinks I'm being daft to be so negative after only two failed cycles post surgery, and without the cloud of hormones attacking my brain I think he is probably right.

@Figtree11 I feel like TTC is an endless waiting game - last time I didn’t test positive till about 13 DPO - but the one thing which was an indicator was my body temp stayed high.

Not that you need more symptoms to spot!

I just find it hard because there’s such a crossover between pre menstrual and pregnancy it’s such a mind game. Hang in there - hopefully answers either way this week 🤞

Figtree11 · 20/07/2025 20:25

@MocktailMe i am so sorry you are struggling. It’s a really hard place to be. For me, the few days after AF arrive when I am TTC I find so difficult. Hopefully in a couple of days the hope for the next cycle, or the next steps you are planning, start to creep back in

@CharLdn oh that’s good, and it’s come back quickly. I ovulated on cd26 this cycle (I have pcos) and the wait caused me so much stress! I’m 7dpo and I’ve been looking back at my last pregnancy & what dpo I started having symptoms so I’m feeling pretty confident I’m out this month
