Congratulations @CharLdn that's amazing news!!!!!! I hope you are having the most amazing first few weeks.

I can't believe after so long being the only one not pregnant now I'm the only one who is 🤣

Crazy to think how old some of the babies are now!!!

I'm now 14+5 and all is still well!

@KTB34 I cannot believe your little guy is almost 1!! Where has that year gone! I’m sure returning to work will be very hard, I am dreading it already!

lavafield · 03/08/2026 17:19

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby boy @CharLdn!! Enjoy those sweet - yet hard ! - first weeks and all the cuddles!

KTB34 · 03/08/2026 09:49

@CharLdn congratulations 💙. Hope you are well! First few weeks are tough so get lots of rest if you can!

Little man is 1 next month 🥹 I can’t believe it, I’m back to work at the end of this month 😢

CharLdn · 03/08/2026 06:30

@Waitingformiracle he’s been letting us rest so far and will sleep a few hours.

We’re lucky to have a pretty good village so feeling very loved. @Tater05 thank you ❤️

Tater05 · 02/08/2026 22:54

Congratulations @CharLdn! So glad to hear Robin has arrived safely and I love the name! A (relatively) smooth delivery and smooth recovery is amazing too ❤️

Waitingformiracle · 02/08/2026 19:20

Huge congratulations on the safe arrival of baby Robin @CharLdn 💙💙 glad to hear your recovering is going well. I hope you’re managing to get some rest and have some people taking good care of you too!

Yes @MocktailMe I hope all is well and you are feeling better!

Baby girl is 14 weeks now I can’t believe how fast the time is going! Hope everyone else is doing well.

We never did set up that group chat!

CharLdn · 02/08/2026 06:31

Wanted to let you guys know we had our baby boy on 24th July with a fast and relatively smooth delivery - ended up with an epidural which was good as my recovery’s been smooth so far.

We’ve named our baby Robin and he’s just perfect! Getting used to sleepless nights and sore nipples!

@MocktailMe how’s pregnancy going?

CharLdn · 16/07/2026 03:56

@MocktailMe morning sickness is the worst and it felt like such a marathon! Mine got better at about 14 weeks when the placenta kicked in and until then breakfast cereal and hula hoops were the things that saved me.

Super exciting scans are good sounds like everything is tracking in the right direction.

@KT199 that sounds really tough! Well done for getting through.

The waiting game is so weird and not one I’m good at with ADHD! It feels like I’ve been pregnant for 84 years now.. trying to just chill out for the last stretch and enjoy not working for a few weeks. Although I’m self employed so works been a welcome distraction.

KT199 · 15/07/2026 22:36

I had horrendous morning sickness @MocktailMe not to put a dampener on things but absolutely did not improve for me at 12 wks, I was on meds until 30 weeks and back on them again at 37. They changed my life though without them I wouldn’t have got though. I was diagnosed with hypermesis and in hospital with it at times though so definitely at a bad case of morning sickness.

Its hard to get through but worth it in the long run and is such a distant memory to me now.

Good luck @CharLdn hope all goes well and your baby is here soon!

MocktailMe · 15/07/2026 15:11

Hey! The sickness still has me out for the count most days, but I'm hopeful things will turn around soon as everyone says you feel better at 12 weeks - and that's only a week and a bit away now!

I'm still waiting for the date for the 12 week scan, apparantly I can't chase it until I reach 12+2, as it can be done any time until 13+6! So I might still be 3 weeks away from it!

I don't mind too badly just yet as I was fortunate enought to have another scan through the rainbow clinic last week and everything was looking well. So I am trying to be patient.

It really could be any day now for you then, I hope it is sooner rather than later! And so much nicer to have a bit of relief from those 30+ degrees days at the moment too!!!

CharLdn · 15/07/2026 13:42

How are you feeling @MocktailMe? Have you got your 12 week scan booked?

@Tater05 the waiting for the baby time is now dragging!!!! And I’m still only 38.5 weeks so could potentially be 3 more 💀

CharLdn · 06/07/2026 13:57

@Tater05 ooh I’d love a home birth but my husbands dead against it :(

I’m feeling good! I finish work on Wednesday/wrapping up final bits now so it will be good to just focus on the baby/house stuff.

I saw all my cousins yesterday and it was good to hear lots of positive stories and things to look forward to.

I’m now trying to balance the urge to do things with the need to relax… I think I might try and do some batch cooking this weekend so I’ve got yummy food to look forward to!

Tater05 · 04/07/2026 23:17

That's exactly what I had as my preferences @CharLdn, minus the epidural as I had a home birth so it wasn't an option. I found the water made a big difference, I was much more comfortable in the water than out. How are you feeling about the last few weeks? It's a strange time

CharLdn · 29/06/2026 09:16

@MocktailMe oh yay 8 weeks is a big milestone ❤️

Birth preferences I want to go for:

plan A - au natural VBAC minimal intervention tens machine/ gas & air water birth

plan B - if it gets too much epidural

plan C - get the baby out as safely as possible but preferably a natural c section with delayed cord clamping etc.

At the moment the baby was back to back so we’ll need to check where he is.

I also need to brief my partner on being an actual birth partner as he seems to think it’s a spectator sport!

Tater05 · 28/06/2026 22:38

@CharLdn 36 weeks already! Gosh that's flown. The 36 week appointment is an intense one, it really does make it all feel real! Sounds like some nasty symptoms you've had especially in this heat, I hope they clear up soon.

@MocktailMe I'm so glad all of your scans have gone well and you're hitting all the milestones. I bet it still hasn't quite sunk in though?! 8 weeks is exciting, you're starting to get into the proper fruit comparisons

Honestly for the heat I highly recommend getting a portable AC unit, it's not the cheapest but it's so worth it. We've not had to worry about her overheating and we've slept well, it makes such a difference.

Has anyone started the WhatsApp group? Definitely still keen to join one!

MocktailMe · 28/06/2026 15:33

Hi ladies sorry I forgot to update.

I don't envy those of you struggling with breastfeeding in this heat, I can imagine it's really stressful trying to keep those babies cool too! I'm hoping for a much milder summer next year!!!

36 weeks wow, the time is very nearly here!!! Have you got a birth preference?

I'm now 8 weeks and my tiny embryo is officially a fetus! So far my scans have all gone well I'm so happy.

CharLdn · 28/06/2026 10:39

@MocktailMe I had quite bad morning sickness and found eating small salty snacks regularly helped.

I’m OK I’ve had some issues with heartburn and recently food poisoning like symptoms which I need to get checked out.

Ive got my 36 week appointment on Tuesday where we’re talking about birth preferences which all feels very real now!!

KTB34 · 22/06/2026 20:20

@MocktailMe please keep us posted how your scan goes ! Morning sickness sounds positive (not that it is nice 😂) .

Look after yourself in the heat too!

We are well, trying to keep a baby cool in this heat is not fun and when you’re breastfeeding it’s a sweaty business 😂

MocktailMe · 22/06/2026 18:59

Hey! So tomorrow I have the scan at my IVF clinic. If all is well I'll not have to go there again which honestly I'll be happy about (it's far away and home to memories of many stressful days!).

I'll be 7+2 tomorrow. I'm absolutely terrified that the babys heart will have stopped beating since my last scan at 6+0, or that the baby won't have grown. It's so hard! If everything is okay tomorrow I will be so so greatful and relieved.

From there, I'll only be seen by Rainbow Clinic at EPU and the regular NHS midwifes. My first appointment with the rainbow clinic is also this week.

Beyond that, I've actually been feeling relatively ill. I've been sick a few times now (nearly always at work which seems to set me off - much better when I can sit down and snack!) and generally feeling pretty ill. Which is honestly extremely reassuring and I would be happy to be feeling much worse all the time as it does help my worries. I probably sound crazy!!!

How is everyone else x

@MocktailMe How are you getting on?

KT199 · 16/06/2026 22:13

Oh @MocktailMe you deserve this so much, I’m so pleased the scan went so well!

I never qualified for rainbow clinic but my sister did and it was so lovely for her as she’d had a lot of loss and trauma. I hope it brings you all the reassurance possible

MocktailMe · 14/06/2026 22:42
