Hello we’ve just started TTC baby number 2 and I wondered if there was anyone else in a similar situation who fancied supporting each other? Everyone very welcome, baby number 1 or 100! I just remember how nice it was to have people to share crazy symptom spotting and commiserate unsuccessful cycles with last time. I’ve joined a few other threads and whilst they seem really friendly and supportive it feels a bit like I’m crashing a party where everyone else already knows each other so thought I’d try starting my own thread in the hope of finding someone else who felt the same.

Definitely looks like a chemical pregnancy for me this month. Further tests negative and since testing positive Monday I've had nasty cramping. Ipm officially due today so just awaiting AF to arrive now.

CherryVicky · 10/06/2025 10:45

@PurpleSpottedLeopardaww sorry to hear you out this month. Enjoy that coffee and some TLC.

@BeNavyLionthose pregnancy tests definitely look promising. Fingers crossed for progression over next few days

@Lou12387thank you it's so frustrating! Congratulations how lovely to see strong progression on your tests 🥰

@RadishTeabless you! It's so frustrating when the little ones bring home bugs, especially when the symptoms match those of early pregnancy.

Update today for me is the cramping I had all day yesterday has settled today, still feel the odd twinge. No sign of my period yet. Test today was negative so thinking possibly looking at a chemical pregnancy. I'm not too disheartened if it is as we knew chance this month was low.

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 10/06/2025 10:06

@BeNavyLion I think the frer lines look very similar too so I wouldn’t worry about progression. They look like good strong lines for 9/10 days to me!

RadishTea · 10/06/2025 09:15

@BeNavyLion definitely looks like strong positives to me! And I agree that there could easily be small fluctuations at this stage that might make the line look a bit different from test to test.

@CherryVicky hope you get a clearer test soon but looks promising!

@PurpleSpottedLeopard sorry to hear that but definitely enjoy the coffee!!

@Lou12387 The nausea has been around for 3 days and I keep obsessively testing but each day it has been negative so starting to think it might just be a bug. I never used to feel nauseous (apart from pregnancy with my son) but since he started nursery I've had a lot of stomach bugs... It's going to be hard going forward to disentangle that - every time he brings some illness home I'm going to think I'm pregnant again...

Lou12387 · 10/06/2025 08:53

@BeNavyLion Ooh they look like good positives! It takes a couple of days for HCG to double so it could be in the next couple of days the progression will be more noticeable. Form my screen the first responses look very similar, I wouldn't say there is fading. And I imagine even slight differences in urine dilution at this early stage can have an impact?

@PurpleSpottedLeopard aww sorry to hear you are out this month. Hope the coffee is good though! Will you try anything different next cycle to help with conception do you think?

@CherryVicky It drives you mad looking when they start out so faint doesn't it! Hopefully in a day or two they will become more obvious

@RadishTea Also hope you get a definitive answer soon. Tricky if you don't know where you are in your cycle having just come off the pill. Will you keep testing or just wait and see if period arrives?

@CTTat thank you! Still not quite sure I believe it. I'm keeping using up the tests I've got and the ICs are now showing a more convincing line so things are presumably progressing as well as they can at this stage :)

BeNavyLion · 10/06/2025 08:30

Hi guys - just an update for you all. Pretty sure I had a positive test yesterday (⁹DPO). Had strange cramps all day yesterday, but they have eased today so now I'm nervous about chemical. The first response seems to have faded, but the internet cheapies have some progression (bottom one is this morning) not sure what to think

@CherryVicky faint tests are so stressful, I think the is it there is it not there dilemma is actually worse than an obviously negative one! I really hope you get a nice clear positive in the next few days. Fingers crossed for you!

Sadly I’m not definitely out this month but at least I can enjoy my coffee guilt free this morning!

Hi @RadishTea welcome. I’m not sure sorry. I hope you get an answer soon.

Thank you! Realised my first message made no sense, should have proof read it haha 😅. Hopefully will get a clearer answer over the coming days

peanutForever · 09/06/2025 15:13

Hey @CherryVickyi see it, hopefully test tomorrow and the lines will get darker, fingers crossed for you xx

CherryVicky · 09/06/2025 15:06

So really co fused today. I really wasn't expecting to talk this cycle as only had my copper coil removed 12 days ago, however I think I might have also ovulated around that time. Im not certain though as hadn't started tracking due to writing this cycle off. Today I've had period like cramps which is super unusual for me so thought I'd cahnce it and test I'm due on today or tomorrow. I have had a very faint positive with a further few tests negative so unsure what to think 🙈

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 08/06/2025 10:02

Hi @therandomUN hoping for a successful cycle for you. 8DPO would be very early though so try not to be too disheartened if you don’t get a positive result before your holiday, I was 12DPO when I got a positive with my first pregnancy.

Thank you! I might try to be really good and not test until 10 DPO but I'll see how I feel once we're out there. I'm hoping I'll be relaxed/entertained enough that I'll be able to hold off. I'm packing some FRERs with me 😂

RadishTea · 08/06/2025 14:20

Hi there, hope it’s ok if I join. I’m TTC number 2 and stopped taking the minipill 2 weeks ago. I wasn’t really thinking about things yet as waiting for my period so that I’d know what is going on going forward.
But the last 2 days I’ve been feeling sick, achy boobs, really tired so started to think it could have happened already even though it seems far too soon!
I’ve taken two tests (cheap standard strips) both negative but I’ve no idea when I would have ovulated (if at all) so really don’t know what to expect.

BeNavyLion · 08/06/2025 11:24

@Lou12387 wow that's amazing!

I tested again this morning but negative again. Although just after I had a strange twinge in my lower abdomen and then started feeling a bit warm, headachy, and nauseous so could mean I just hadn't implanted yet possibly and now I have? (although the 15 ISH cookies ihad for breakfast could have something to do with those symptoms 😅)

CTTat · 08/06/2025 10:17

@BeNavyLion @therandomUN with my last pregnancy I tested negative at 10dpo so it’s deffo not over yet this cycle

I tested this morning at 11dpo and got a positive on frer!

So cautiously excited as I know it's still early and at 38 the risks are increased. So will see what happens.

@BeNavyLion 7dpo is very early so try not to be too downhearted (easier said than done I know!). Still plenty of time for the bfp

Awww congrats darling ♥️♥️♥️
how you feeling?

Hi all, any good news stories yet?

I tested yesterday and a big fat negative - DPO7 and cheap test, whilst I know its unlikely to show up that early (as implantation may not even have happened yet), it was still like a punch in the gut 😅

therandomUN · 07/06/2025 13:50

Hi! We're in the first month, no children. I'm 1DPO. I'm planning to test 8 DPO which is also the first day of a family holiday which would be really special and exciting!

Lou12387 · 07/06/2025 11:04

Don't be too hard on yourself, it's difficult avoiding the temptation to test. Especially if you see signs!

I caved too today, 10 dpo and bfn unsurprisingly. So instead of reading old threads about who got a bfp when, I've cleaned the house, walked the dog and arranged a soft play date later with my DS, a friend and her little one!

Trying to aee the positive also that if I'm out this cycle, at least I can have some wine next week on holiday without having to come up with an excuse to the friends we're going with why not 😂

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 07/06/2025 10:54

Had a really vivid dream that I was pregnant so for some insane reason woke up and decided to use a test that expired over a year ago. Got what I’m pretty sure is an evap line. So I know absolutely nothing and now have a test to obsess over. Seriously annoyed that I did this to myself!!
