Hello we’ve just started TTC baby number 2 and I wondered if there was anyone else in a similar situation who fancied supporting each other? Everyone very welcome, baby number 1 or 100! I just remember how nice it was to have people to share crazy symptom spotting and commiserate unsuccessful cycles with last time. I’ve joined a few other threads and whilst they seem really friendly and supportive it feels a bit like I’m crashing a party where everyone else already knows each other so thought I’d try starting my own thread in the hope of finding someone else who felt the same.

Hello everyone! I'm hoping to ttc baby #2 in the near future but I'm slightly apprehensive as I suffer from pmdd, anxiety and depression so will have to come off my medication and evri patch which controls those rollcoaster emotions haha! My dd was born in December 2023 and I had a chemical pregnancy August 2024.

Anyway good luck everyone ✨️

BeNavyLion · 30/05/2026 16:25

Hi all!

Not sure if any of you are still live on here but thought I'd check in to see if pregnancies went well for those with positives and if those without have had any good news?

My baby is now 3 months old. Pregnancy was textbook but had a PPH followimg birth which was scary 😅 we're all okay now but baby has colic so she is quite uncomfortable 🙁

Oh my goodness @DaisyChain505 that’s amazing news! So happy for you! How are you feeling?

Feel absolutely fine and have no symptoms so far. Did the test on a whim as I have the cheap dip stick ones that I keep in my en suite to do every so often.

I thought as I’d only had one period since coming off the pill In Nov that there’d be no chance but here we are!

apparently 5 weeks ish!

Never thought I’d see the day. Had a positive test yesterday. Looks like I may be 4-5 weeks! Hard to know as I don’t have regular periods but I wasn’t expecting it.

therandomUN · 04/08/2025 12:18

How’s everyone doing? X

Whatdouthink08 · 30/07/2025 10:35

Congratulations @PurpleSpottedLeopard! That’s so exciting.

Sorry to everyone who’s AF arrived, there is no worse feeling!!!! Sending hope for next cycle.

I’m CD12 today, first month of actually taking ovulation tests and temping - hoping for a more normal cycle this time lol

therandomUN · 29/07/2025 19:41

Oh gosh that’s amazing @PurpleSpottedLeopard. I’m thrilled for you!

@rainbowsnack @SleepySkyRat I’m sorry it wasn’t your month this time! Freaking AF!

SleepySkyRat · 29/07/2025 19:27

@rainbowsnack same here, hopefully next month!

rainbowsnack · 29/07/2025 14:26

AF arrived yesterday so I'm out for this month.

RadishTea · 29/07/2025 12:27

Congratulations @PurpleSpottedLeopard !!

I’m feeling even more ridiculous about being upset last week as I got my own positive yesterday morning! Incredibly shocked as it took so long last time and it’s definitely taking some time to get my head around it as I was expecting it to take just as long again. I keep alternating between being really excited and absolutely terrified that everything is going to change, particularly for my toddler who had absolutely no say in this.

Omg huge congratulations!

SleepySkyRat · 29/07/2025 10:29

@PurpleSpottedLeopard ahh congratulations!! That’s amazing news!

I’m so sorry to hear about your previous pregnancy @therandomUN, I really hope that it’s a different experience for you this time.

@SleepySkyRat a 31 day cycle is really good for coming off the pill!

SleepySkyRat · 28/07/2025 21:13

@PurpleSpottedLeopard thank you! Yes AF arrived after a couple of days of weird spotting. Yeah it was mixed feelings but now I know where I am and it was only a 31 day cycle which is quite good for a first one after the pill (some people take over 60 days!). Hope everything is going ok with you?

therandomUN · 28/07/2025 17:31

@PurpleSpottedLeopard thank you for thinking of me. Lines are progressing every day which is good. Boobs started hurting as of yesterday (4w2d) and I’ve felt tired and sluggish! I can’t remember if I said before but I had an HG pregnancy years and years ago that ended in termination and I’m dreading that it’s going to kick off again. I feel like it’s hard to get excited when you know what’s about to come is the worst thing you’ve been though! But I’m just taking it day by day and enjoying it while I feel normal.

How are you feeling? 🫶

Hello @Whatdouthink08 really hope that the timings work out for you!

@SleepySkyRat fingers crossed that AF materialised properly for you so that you can work out where you are in your cycles. Hope you’re ok though, even when the chances are low it’s still sad to know that it hasn’t miraculously happened.

@therandomUN how are you getting on? I hope you’ve had some lovely strong lines now.

FInally started some spotting today... feels like its the start of my first AF since coming off the pill. Have mixed feelings about it all.... was stupidly hopeful that we'd conceive first cycle even though I know thats so unlikely. So feeling a bit sad but also relieved that its here so I can start to actually track my cycle again.

GiraffesAtThePark · 22/07/2025 15:50

@Marvelftw Sorry to hear about your sad news. Spring/summer baby would be great 😊 Hope we’re lucky!

GiraffesAtThePark · 22/07/2025 15:46

@Whatdouthink08 I’m the same with irregular cycles. 77 days must have been a pain to wait for! I’m on the shorter end. When I was trying for my son I had some as short as 18 days then it’d go 32 or something.

Whatdouthink08 · 22/07/2025 13:45

Hello!
Hoping I can join in 😊TTC #2 since January. Am battling with really irregular cycles (finally got my period after 77 days! cycle prior was only 26 days - all over the place!) and my partner working abroad. Not really sure we’ve had a proper chance to give it a go but he will be home now until September so thinking surely I’ll ovulate before then 😂
Excited to get going but apprehensive about a let down as not sure much is happening at the moment with my cycles being the way they are!

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 22/07/2025 11:48

@therandomUN that’s really sweet, thank you. I think all the old feelings from TTC first time round have just come back a lot earlier than I hoped they would. I’m just being silly.

Those lines like really promising!! Keeping everything crossed that you got a nice clear line this morning. I think it’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous too, however much you’ve planned for it it’s still suddenly very real.

OP posts:
RadishTea · 22/07/2025 09:23

Congratulations @therandomUN ! I think it is totally understandable to feel a bit anticlimactic at this point, especially if it has taken a while. Tbh, it would be kind of deluded if you didn't have some doubts/nervousness at some point during the process.
