Yes, I always ov around day 18.

Hi yesno. As far as I am aware, you ovulate 14 days BEFORE the first day of your next period. ie if you are on a 30 day cycle, you would have ovulated on day 16. If you are on 28 day cycle you would have ovulated on day 14. and so on. This is why it is recommended to keep a diary of your dates for a few months to see what length cycles you have and count 14 days back from that.

So you could ovulate on day 18 if you were on a 32 day cycle!!!

If only ovulation was always day 14 AFTER the start of your period it would be a LOT easier as obviously you would be counting in advance rather than predicting based on past cycle lengths! Thanks Mother Nature.

If I am incorrect feel free to correct me, anybody! This is only what I have read but others may differ?

I did. Actually might have been later than that, maybe day 20/21. Normal cycle was 31-32 days. Don't know if that helps...
