@SureLook they asked us to rank our preferred clinics 1-3, they said the one we had at #1 would likely be in touch within 4 weeks so I’m presuming it will all happen very quickly. Still giving it another go this month in the hope that we’ll be one of those people who fall pregnant right before their fertility appointment! 🤞

SureLook · 31/05/2025 18:48

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I'm the same. I think the continuous testing can drive you mad and really affect you. What will be will be but fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@Clara202 ah, delighted my fellow Irish lady! Aww sorry to hear you're a bit disappointed. I don't know much about Hycosy but we have to assume these doctors know what they're talking about! How long will it take for your to get an appointment to start your treatment?

@SureLook I knew I wasn’t the only Irish representative here with that username! 😉

I went for my Hycosy on the public system. When I got there they decided not to bother with it and just referred me on for funded fertility treatment. They said as dh’s morph stayed at 1% that they were going to refer me anyway so why put me through an invasive procedure and risk infection etc.
Im happy I got the go ahead but also a bit disappointed that I didn’t get the Hycosy as I had perhaps naively thought I’d get pregnant after that was done.

Well we would still need NI! Maybe @VanessaShanessaJenkins99 is half Welsh, half Northern Irish 😂

🤣 sorry guys im English! Nottingham lol !

I feel alright, tired and queezy ! I've not tested again. I just keep thinking what will be will be, i cant change. I have my booking in appointment for the 26th of June. I said to her i feel like im tempting fate booking it! Xx

SureLook · 30/05/2025 20:40

@HopefulCove that's what I'm hoping. I had implantation bleeding on both my previous pregnancies (one successful and one MMC) so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Oh, very good. I used to fly over to London a lot many moons ago. I loved it!

Oh wow! Ireland, Scotland, England - now we just need someone from Wales to complete us 🤣

I feel like the weeks/days are going to slowly. I wish I was 6+2 already haha x

Ah cross post!

GrizzlyTheBear · 30/05/2025 20:07

@HopefulCove oh no that sounds grim! Nothing like a nice illness to accompany your morning sickness (if you get it)?
I'm 6+2 today. I'm from the Highlands. What about you?

HopefulCove · 30/05/2025 20:05

I know right! 🤣 ohh ok I think that’s a good sign.. it could be old blood coming out from implantation etc.

Oh cool! I come over to Dublin a lot for work! I live on the outskirts of London ☺️x

SureLook · 30/05/2025 19:29

@HopefulCove I don't know which is worse, a cold or hay-fever 😂 I had a little bit more this morning but it's gone again now. It seems to be coinciding with when I'm up and about on my feet and easing up when I'm relaxing.
I'm from Dublin, Ireland. Women's health care is absolutely brutal in this country!
How are you doing? Where are you from?

OP posts:
HopefulCove · 30/05/2025 19:24

@SureLookhappy to hear you haven’t had any more spotting. I can’t believe your EPU won’t do early scans even after just 1 loss… I think that’s really bad.

where is everyone from if you don’t mind me asking? ☺️☺️

HopefulCove · 30/05/2025 19:23

How many weeks are you now @GrizzlyTheBear? I can’t work out if I’m coming down with a cold or have terrible hayfever - but either way today I have felt AWFUL. Just woke up for an hour nap so likely won’t be able to sleep tonight 🤣

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99how are you feeling x

SureLook · 30/05/2025 10:09

I actually haven't even looked into the price yet. I'm not sure if I definitely will or not. Will it just cause me more anxiety ya know? I'll see how the next few days go.

GrizzlyTheBear · 30/05/2025 09:32

Bloods do make much more sense at this early stage. Is that expensive or not too bad?

SureLook · 30/05/2025 09:13

@GrizzlyTheBear noooooo! I hope it eases soon.

There's been no further spotting since yesterday evening. I did have a stressful busy day in work yesterday and may have overdone it. I've a physical job, on my feet, lots of movement etc. It's hard to know. My EPAU don't offer early reassurance scans unless you've had two losses. Like I said if I'm still worried I might get my bloods done. My friends has had IVF twice and the clinic always recommended bloods rather than a scan as its a more accurate measurement. Thanks for the support ❤️

GrizzlyTheBear · 30/05/2025 09:06

Well I spoke too soon - now I am sick as a dog.

@SureLook you're right, there's nothing you can do to change it which does theoretically take the pressure off, but in reality it doesn't really help does it. Good on you for being chilled and calm.

SureLook · 29/05/2025 20:13

@HopefulCove thanks for the reassurance. I know no one knows! Yeah, I tested this morning on my last IC and had a dye stealer. I also did a CB digital yesterday and it said 2-3. I'm 5+3 today so I was happy enough. If I'm really worried I might see if I can get bloods done to check my HCG. Or ring my EPAU on Monday when I'm 6 weeks. I'll see.

@GrizzlyTheBear that's it. Everything you read says its common and my logical brain knows that but the other side of me is thinking but what if this is the start of something. I'm trying to stay calm cause nothing is gonna change the outcome. What will be will be!

@SureLook that is nerve-wracking 😬 I know spotting early in the first trimester can be normal, but obviously you don't know if it is benign or if it's a bad sign. What a terrible waiting game. I'm really hoping everything's fine for you and @VanessaShanessaJenkins99 too.

HopefulCove · 29/05/2025 20:04

Pregnancy after loss is just the worst because you’re on such high alert and everything feels like a massive negative. My friend from work had brown spotting throughout her first trimester and I was deep down worried for her, but everything was fine! So it doesn’t always mean bad news 🩷 have you tested recently? I think if you’re starting to spot due to MC surely that means your HCG is dropping? Can you try and test to see if your HCG still seems high for reassurance? X

SureLook · 29/05/2025 19:59

I really hope everything is OK @VanessaShanessaJenkins99 ❤️

I'm having a stressful day as well. I noticed some spotting on my knickers this morning at 10:30am. Brown/pinkish colour. After that it was only when I wiped, it was fading and it's gone now. I was up the walls earlier, I got a shock when I saw it in my knickers. I know it could be nothing but it could also be something. I had similar spotting like this on my MMC baby at 7 weeks which is when it passed. It lasted longer though so who knows. It's a waiting game I know, but it is literally torture 😫

OP posts:
HopefulCove · 29/05/2025 18:04

Hoping it all works out for you @VanessaShanessaJenkins99❤️ keep us posted.

Feels like the longest wait until the first scan doesn’t it 😩😩 I have 2.5 weeks and even then I won’t be satisfied until after the 12 week scan

VanessaShanessaJenkins99 · 29/05/2025 10:37

Where I am its all done through the GP and the midwife team there are all so lovely so fingers crossed they will be fine :) xx

GrizzlyTheBear · 29/05/2025 10:09

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 it really is, and it's awful waiting. Hopefully you get a helpful sympathetic midwife 🤞

VanessaShanessaJenkins99 · 29/05/2025 09:55

Thank you xx - I am pretty sure when i Ovulated as i was tracking my peak. I got a positive on the 7th of May - so even if my egg was released 36 hours after that i should still be showing in the 2-3 weeks by now.
I will refer as i usually would and like you say, explain that im worried and go from there.
I have googled it and there are so many stories of yeah its fine or no its not - its just a waiting game isnt it. xx
