Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

So I've been using premom too and the cheap ovulation tests from amazon.
So it seems a peak on the 18th, CD16, dropped off on 19th but then 22nd seems to be a bit darker again.
I have 1 more test to see if its any higher or lower 🤔
Could just be discrepancy in the cheap test, bad photo/lighting or the app info.
Other than the one in the 22nd, I did actually feel like I ovulated on the 18th as I was very symptomatic at that time.
What was interesting for me was, in January I had my left tube out due to EP, and my last cycle I felt my ovulation on my left side, but this time I felt it in my right, which apparently is healthy so I'm all hopes in the sky 😂😂🤞
CD20 today x

I have a feeling you ovulated the 18th too by the pic, I guess sometimes the LH swings but the real peak is what matters I believe 🥰 In case you don’t get a peak again ofc

It does thank you so much ☺️

I’ve tried testing late morning and afternoon a few times but always seem to get a super low result likely because i drink a load of water 😆
next month I think will go twice a day from day 10 to see if i catch it
the change is CM is making me think ive definitely missed it this month xx

Do that lovely, I’ve tested in the morning and it’s been low and then tested again and seen it darker so I will then test again to get my peak again in the evening usually. CM is a good sign though alongside LH tests. It’s a huge factor.

Iris2024 · 22/04/2025 15:54

Hi lovely, with OPKs a peak can happen so fast and go back down low again. If testing 7am every morning you could be getting your peak in those 24 hours you’re not testing. Hope that helps.

I will be following any responses to this as trying to learn more about lh testing.

last cycle I got peak on CD17
but this cycle i had EWCM days 11&12 and nothing since! (Now on cycle day 14)
i wonder whether I peaked on CD12 but ive missed it as seem to be going lighter since then! X

@devma mine usually hovers at about 0.2/0.25 from CD 7/8 and then rises quite sharply about 4 days later if that's any help at all?

@ThisZippyViewer I have a really fast peak with my LH, I find testing twice a day from CD10 helps me to find it, although on the (very) occasional cycle I ovulate quite late and don't get peak until about CD 20, so it may be that!

Thank you! Going to keep testing for the rest of the month to try and get an idea of pattern for next month! X

peanutForever · 22/04/2025 14:54

@Katfluff21@HappyTTcim using premom and it has a part you can scan and take a pic of your LH tests

however after seeing everyones comments on LH testing inthink im going to throw it out the window and guesstimate, i figure DTD every few days around the time should cover it so im not stressing over a few lines on some tests! @Muddysocks1 pm'ed you re:prog

HappyTTc · 22/04/2025 14:39

What app do tou use to read the strips ?

Hi can I ask what app you're using to track your photos of the tests please?! I'm also using strip opk tests and this looks useful x

Best of luck. I haven't used the strip ones like that but I think i will because the digital advanced clearblue is confusing me between the low, high and peak. I don't know much about them but it does seem darker on day12. Maybe test twice a day when it starts to darken ?

Hi all, best of luck to everyone TTC this month/cycle ♥️
I .started using the clearblue advanced ovulation tests and on day 5 of the flashing smiley ( started flashing on CD7) the test line on the stick is practically disappeared now though. I know we're not to look at the lines on these but curiosity gets to me. Does anybody know the science behind how these lines work . I have read somewhere that the test line dissapearsor fades before you hit the LH peak is this true .

devma · 22/04/2025 13:58

Hey everyone! We’re back onto LH testing, CD8 and last cycle i was in low low numbers at this time, this cycle im 0.24, thinking ovulation may be early?

i bought a clearblue digital but it only comes with 10 strips so im trying to hold out on using it until im a bit higher in numbers (or I cave and buy more sticks, but im basically bankrolling clearblue at this point😂) i tried to use it thismorning and peed on it before it was in the reader 😂😂 so it was a total wasted strip but we move on🤦🏼‍♀️

attached my rise so far, does anyone care to give their take on this? Is this a normal reading for cd 8? The strip looks quite dark to me

how is everyone else x

Hi all! I’m day 1 TTW today so would find out early May, ttc number 2 after a very long and difficult journey to baby 1, hoping this time around it’s easier, had my first cycle back last month after stopping breastfeeding DS and had a chemical in that cycle so everything crossed for this month. Sending baby dust to everyone!

Mickey1995 · 22/04/2025 11:07

Im 5dpo today, feel like I’m constantly symptom spotting even though it’s too early! Anyone else around the same?

That's good it's come around so quick. I'm expecting first AF next week after coming off the pill so will be a few weeks before it's time to properly start. Although we weren't careful last week so who knows. I think I'll get some OPK as I do quite like them but I do get ovulation pain so can usually tell. Might try SMEP too. We pretty much did that when we conceived my son so no harm in trying again if we can manage it

I use OPKs too, the first time around with DD6 we didn’t use OPKs and did 3 times in my fertile window and caught first time but were 41 now so I don’t feel that blessed 🥲 I think I felt ovulation pain last cycle but I keep doubting myself and wondering if I can even have a second.

Morning ladies and hello and welcome to all newbies entering the thread ❤️

I’m CD6 today and can’t believe I’m going into another fertile window 🔜 😳 It’s come around so quick! This cycle is for a January 22nd ish babaa. What’s everybody’s plans with DTD this cycle?

Hope you all had a lovely Easter 🐣

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok!
I'm CD 13 today & LH tests just increasing so think i'll get my peak tonight or tomorrow.
In terms of testing, i'm similar to some of you and avoid testing unless my bbt stays high!
@Taysonic good to see you here too, hope you're feeling a bit better today?

@FlyHighSky72ive had multiple miscarriages/cp thats why im on baby aspirin! Its not suitable for everyone -most dont need it but i am under the advice of my dr (as had a successful pregnancy with DS)

I will also be put on progesterone once pregnant, and i heard beetroot juice helps aid implanation- i believe they are both anti-inflammatory and support blood flow for the uterine lining :)

I tried beetroot juice last month but the taste was unbearable 🙈

I do really think baby aspirin helps though. I tried it for 2 months and got the Bfp on the second. Just didn’t stick. I’m really tempted to do a private consultation to look at getting progesterone - I’ve seen Nova fertility recommended, can get an appt in the next week but I think it’s about £150 for appt and people saying £600 for the drugs! So hard, I should wait for nhs but then I feel like is it worth just paying if it means it actually happens?

Tentatively joining. I’ve got a hysteroscopy on May the 9th and hoping to get the all clear to ttc after that. It’s following a TFMR I had in March and I had an MVA for retained tissue this month. I’m at risk of scar tissue due to having previous MVAs for recurrent miscarriage and I’m also currently being treated with antibiotics for endometritis (not to be confused with endometriosis) so hoping it goes away. I’ve always conceived first time every cycle so hoping that won’t change now 🤞 xx

Hi all, can I join? I’m on my second month of trying and I’m on cycle day 3. TTC baby number one and I’m early 30s. I wasn’t tracking so much at first, just used the clear blue tests until I got a smiley. I’ve now ordered some of the easy at home ovulation tests and downloaded the premom app to track.
