Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

Thanks @peanutForever- was mainly checking that im not meant to have a faint line all the time and just waiting for it to get to the same darkness as the test line/that it’s ok to have no line at all at this point?

peanutForever · 28/04/2025 14:48

@ThisZippyVieweri found my period shortened when taking preconception vitamins. Gone from a 32/33 day cycle to 30..also i would take any other external factors that could contribute to your period being late? Stress/diet change etc can also affect it but certainly yes if its your first month it might be a shock to the system!

@ProfessionalOverthinker1welcome and good luck ❤️

peanutForever · 28/04/2025 14:45

@FlyHighSky72not at all you need to continue testing for a few days and if your urine was diluted that could also be the reason..some people even miss their peak if they dont test twice a day!

ThisZippyViewer · 28/04/2025 11:16

Ah really!!
Did all go back to normal after you stopped?
Think im just going to go for folic acid and take a vitamin D from now and hopefully get myself back on track

After I first started taking my cocktail of vitamins my period was really late too. I think it’s normal when you add new vitamins!

Welcome @ProfessionalOverthinker1

More stupid questions from me - I took an ovulation test this lunchtime (as a sort of practise tbh) I’m on cycle day 10 and have a 28 day cycle so the little piece of paper in the tests says to start taking them on day 12. Question is - didn’t see anything on the test - is that ok for day 10 or does it mean I’m not going to ovulate this cycle??

ProfessionalOverthinker1 · 28/04/2025 12:17

Hello, I'm joining the club ❤️ ✨

1st time trying. So nervous, emotional, scared but excited about the journey.

Wishing everyone luck this month 🍀

am44a · 28/04/2025 11:26

@ThisZippyViewerI think but i’m not sure because tbh my cycles have been quite messed up the past year. I do think the vitamins made me spot/bleed mid cycle though and not ovulate as I literally would have no pms which I usually would get straight after ovulation an then would not get my period until like cd 35-38! Although before when I was taking evening primrose oil in 2023 I had one really long cycle then for a year I had 28 day cycles every month which i’ve never ever had before so I might try them again? I did take them with my other vitamins recently but obviously was taking other things as well

@ThisZippyViewerI wasnt taking pregnacare but took I think they’re called well women’s max? and they made my cycles reallllyyyy long and I also had mid cycle spotting so I do think they can affect ur cycle x

Just wondered if anyone had experiences with pregnacare pre conception…

My cycles are normally 27-29 days
started taking it daily a few months ago - that first cycle was 40 days long (longest ever!)

Last month I had ran out and just took folic acid that I had in the cupboard - cycle was 27 days with LH peak day 16

Im on CD 20 today with still no sign of a peak - Ive realised this morning I started back with the pregnacare since last AF. I know they say theres no evidence it can affect you but googled it and people seem to have stories of it delaying ovulation and periods. May just be a coincidence but thinking of stopping it and seeing how I go - has anyone got any similar experiences?

2Sugars2 · 28/04/2025 10:27

hope everyone is doing okay so far this month. I am CD 13 today and my opks are still showing very low, not got above 0.2 yet arghhhh but I have CM though - shall I just DTD as much as we can this week?

peanutForever · 28/04/2025 09:55

@am44ai am so sorry, hope youre okay

@LuckyDuck93yup cos i missed the window i think 😂 however i did a test this morning at 8dpo BFN

im only testing early as if i get a positive il be put straight onto progesterone so im trying to catch early eventho it know its impossible this month! Would never forgive myself tho if i didnt test and it ended in yet another mc (prev history) but i have zero symptoms jusf a bit moody which is pms i think x

Anyone else just talk themself out of the possibility of being pregnant? Only 5 DPO and already im like "nope out this month" which is absolutely ridiculous 😅

@charlzzThank you💕 it seems to have stopped kinda now? It was more like maroonish than bright red but still was not what I was expecting if it was implantation bleeding🥲x

Update us tomorrow when you take your next test! Seems like a good sign that is seems to have stopped! Hoping for positive news for you. 🥰

I'll be starting TTC for baby number 2 in May, I'm due to get my implant removed on the 16th. I'll be starting to take folic acid this week. Are ovulation tests worth it? I'll be coming off the implant and my periods have become very unregular whilst I've been on it.

I found ovulation tests really useful after having my mirena coil removed. It took a few months for my cycles to settle down, and I was ovulating anywhere from CD10 to CD20, so I'd have missed it without the strips.

Finally got my periods 3 days ago. On cycle 2 of trying for baby #2. Ovulation predicted 11th May! When do I start doing the ovulation tests?

I usually start my Easy at Home ovulation strips at CD8 (the day after I finish bleeding) so I can see my LH progression every day on the premom app. Then start my Clearblue digital on CD10 because they're really expensive and I don't want to waste them starting too early 😂

Hey lady’s :) has anyone here had implantation bleeding before? I’m 11dpo (rough guess as I didn’t track but going off cm) I tested this morning and got a faint line on a one step test so done two more with a forced wee as I was excited and the lines obviously were hardly there but shown inverted. Anyway I walked around all day today on cloud 9 thinking i’m pregnant just to come home and have bleeding and cramps:( I don’t know if it’s my period I assumed it was however it’s very pale pink? When I first wiped tmi but it was like abit of dark blood with cm.
The cramps r kinda like period cramps probs more central but tbh im insane at this point so am most likely over thinking!

Just feeling so deflated and done every month I get my hopes up and it’s always so heartbreaking. I also always have really long cycles so I was not expecting or mentally prepared to get my period this early :( xx

Ahh I'm sorry this is such a horrible feeling. I think if it's just spotting you're having, then that could be normal. I definitely remember having spotting around when I was due on my period with my son, but it was browny, never red. If you do properly come on in the next few days, then I would count it as a chemical/early loss as you've had a faint positive. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully your test tomorrow is darker!

SureLook · 27/04/2025 21:49

@am44a I think I can see a line in the inverted pics 🤞🏻

@Emilym1609 welcome! Sorry to hear of your loss. Lots of us here with that experience also, sadly.

@CinnamonBuns67 I didn't really track with my previous two pregnancies but I'm in my third cycle now so I'm properly tracking this month!

Hello all :) new here!

TTC for the first time since November..had an early loss (8 weeks) in January after our first cycle of trying. My cycles have been a bit all over the place since then, so only really our second 'proper' attempt this cycle. Currently 3DPO..had the most noticeable LH surge this month, which was reassuring date wise, so I can avoid testing too early!

I was so excited and chilled going into this journey but definitely have some more anxiety following the early loss! Going to try and wait until 12DPO for my first test but my will power might not allow it!!
