Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

This is todays ovulation test - I’m day 11 or 12 depending on whether I’m counting my first day or period correctly or not Confused - that counts as the start of a surge right (I know I’m not ovulating within the next 24/48 hours but it’s the start right?)

Good luck @jelliebean9and sending hugs @BerrieSweet

LuckyDuck93 · 29/04/2025 08:47

@FlyHighSky72 I'm not actually sure about those ones!

@BerrieSweet you can't be positive all the time though, that would be exhausting and lets be honest TTC is exhausting enough anyway. I'm 6DPO and feeling pretty similar, although I purposely don't test any more because the disappointment is bad enough when AF inevitably arrives, is it worth trying that or would that make you feel worse? Positive news about your investigations though, hopefully that is light at the end of the tunnel x

jelliebean9 · 29/04/2025 07:58

I’m now 3DPO and my nipples are SO painful. I’m not boob pain person pre period. The only time I’ve had this stingy, burning feeling in my nipples was in the TTW with my son. But I am not naïve enough to think this is the month I’ll see a positive, I know it’s most likely my mind playing tricks on me 🤣 feeling ok otherwise, usual PMS stuff. My period would be due the 8th or 9th of May. I am NOT testing until the 10th, not having tests in the house either cos I am a POASA and it’s not a good thing for me 🤣 wishing away the days!

A little update from me ❤️ 6 DPO today, entering 7 DPO tomorrow morning and now every day is a lot more stressful because I’m an early tester who is trying to hold out to 10 DPO 😭 I’ve never had a positive pregnancy test so my brain right now is telling me why would I get it this month anyways. I’m normally so positive and optimistic but it’s really hard to stay hopeful month after month. It feels good though that fertility investigation is on full speed now and every month hopefully is a month closer to meeting my future baby 🥹

I’m so sorry you’re not feeling great right now 😔 the mind games TTC is as well! It’s rubbish. Fingers crossed for the fertility testing 🙏 this month could be your month 🙏

SureLook · 29/04/2025 07:06

@BerrieSweet sorry to hear you're not feeling your usual positive self. It's very hard to keep the motivation every month. I didn't test at all this month and it actually made me feel a lot better. The previous month every negative test made me a little hopeful that I'd get my BFP. I was crushed then when I got AF. Waiting this month and not testing really helped cause I wasn't that hopeful. Plus it meant I could have some wine over the weekend!

@am44a- also loving the positivity! 🌸

Bas27 · 28/04/2025 22:42

Joining the May thread - AF came this evening.
Feeling a little better just to stop wondering!
Ready to try again cycle 2 - day 1- ttc #3. ✨

SureLook · 28/04/2025 22:38

@FlyHighSky72 you never know! I conceived on my first try twice before.

@am44a labour is relatively short compared to being pregnant. I think I had an outer body experience during my contractions 😂

@ttcjourney20001 hopefully the sickness will pass quickly 🤞🏻

ttcjourney20001 · 28/04/2025 21:49

Hey everyone, night time sickness is my worst enemy at the moment. I go all day without feeling anything, but as soon as 6pm rolls, the nausea comes in full clutch. Making in hard for me to settle in bed, can feel it brewing at the top of my tummy. I feel gross, on a continued note from my previous posts, my bowel movements are a lot better 🤣💀

am44a · 28/04/2025 21:15

@ObjectiontimeSame they’re just horrible aren’t they! I’ve not had an agonising af like this for ages though so im looking at it as a sign😂(everything’s a sign at this point) Does make me wonder how ill get on in labour though because the pain i’m in w my periods is debilitating x

Objectiontime · 28/04/2025 21:11

am44a · 28/04/2025 15:53

Af started today an was absolutely excruciating 😣 I’m feeling abit better mentally now though as if I conceive this cycle i’ll be due beginning of feb which is closer to Spring (my favourite time of year☺️) an if not then I get another chance to try again for a Spring baby:) 🤞🏻

God, I hate it when they are really painful. Mine are always painful but occasionally horrendous. Loving your positivity though x

FlyHighSky72 · 28/04/2025 20:53

Fab thanks @SureLook! I mean, hopefully, I don’t need them as I’ll get pregnant on my first try #SuperUnlikely #WishfulThinking SmileWink

SureLook · 28/04/2025 20:33

Yep @FlyHighSky72 I ordered them off Amazon. Then you download the Premom app and upload your results 😊

FlyHighSky72 · 28/04/2025 20:28

Thanks @SureLookwhen I run out of these I’ll try the easy@home. Can you get them from Amazon?

SureLook · 28/04/2025 20:20

@2Sugars2 I would aim for every second day just to cover it.

@FlyHighSky72 I was using One Step from Amazon and my tests were completely white. Not a hint of a line. Until all of a sudden I had a darkish line. A lady on here told me that that brand have thinner tests and they don't show the lines as well as others. I've moved to easy@home now and I've had faint lines from CD3.

@am44a sorry AF is painful. That's my thinking as well. A spring baby is much more appealing. I had a November baby and found the dark evenings really difficult.

That's great @Mickey1995 looking good!

FlyHighSky72 · 28/04/2025 19:37

ooo exciting @Mickey1995

Mickey1995 · 28/04/2025 19:26

Hi everyone, I did another test today 11dpo after the one I posted on 9dpo, the line is definitely noticeable now! I felt awful all weekend and have had such bad insomnia but weirdly felt normal today. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I did a clear blue digital this morning which said not pregnant so hopefully the line gets stronger this week

@peanutForever @FlyHighSky72 Thank you!
I’ve just come off the pill, and my cycles were always pretty irregular even before, so honestly, I have no idea what to expect right now. I’m trying to manage my expectations but it’s tricky.
I’m armed with ovulation tests, pregnancy tests and a tracking app, and just kind of waiting for my period to show up haha.
Honestly, it feels like turning up to an exam completely unprepared, seeing the first question, and thinking “wtf”

MayaB · 28/04/2025 16:23

2Sugars2 · 28/04/2025 10:27

hope everyone is doing okay so far this month. I am CD 13 today and my opks are still showing very low, not got above 0.2 yet arghhhh but I have CM though - shall I just DTD as much as we can this week?

Definitely keep trying. You never know. Testa are not completely reliable. Sometimes things happen when we least expect it 🤞

FlyHighSky72 · 28/04/2025 16:16

@LuckyDuck93thanks - ive got the Wondfo ones - anyone got any intel on those?

I'm sorry 😞 but love your positive outlook - my little boy is a February baby and coming out of the newborn trenches into spring/summer was amazing. Fingers crossed for this cycle for you!

LuckyDuck93 · 28/04/2025 15:56

@FlyHighSky72 i'm not an expert, but I think it may depend on the tests?
I used asda ones for a while and there was barely anything on them, especially if id drank a lot or urine was diluted.
I use easy @ home tests now, they're really good with the premom app as it reads them for you, you can also start testing from quite early in your cycle to get an idea of what your baseline is
