Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

I think I'm either having my second chemical pregnancy in a row, OR I'm still testing positive from my one last cycle. Tested yesterday and today and my lines are very faint and not getting any darker, still negative on a CB Digital Ultra Early. I didn't test to negative after the chemical pregnancy last month, as they were super super faint then I started bleeding. Does anybody have any advice please? I just can't believe it's happening again. 😢

BGxxx · 07/05/2025 12:21

@Muddysocks1 I wish I could find someone like that 🤣

Muddysocks1 · 07/05/2025 11:22

Thanks all re acupuncture - I’m hoping it’ll help with the blood stuff, but even if it just helps me relax and that might help I’ll be happy!!
I asked her if she had evening appts because of work, and she said she’d try and fit me in - but I did say I had a recent chemical which I think makes it more “urgent”, rather than planning longer term if that makes sense

@Taysonic omg sooo cute our anniversary is next week too, couple days before AF is due so would be super sweet!! fingers crossed to you xx

Taysonic · 07/05/2025 10:13

Hi all. Have been a bit absent but have tried to catch up with posts. Seems there are a few congratulations in order!

Had my LH peak yesterday so soon to enter the dreaded TWW. AF is due on our anniversary so... That'll either be super exciting and memorable date to get happy news or not. 😂

Hope everyone is holding up.

FigPig · 07/05/2025 09:30

@Muddysocks1 I had no symptoms when I tested positive. Every other month I had a million! You just can’t call it.

SureLook · 07/05/2025 09:17

@Muddysocks1 I've also heard good things about acupuncture from the women in my Mammy WhatsApp group who had struggles. It certainly can't hurt to try!

Thanks for the article @FlyHighSky72 I'd be the same as @Muddysocks1 I'd be reluctant to take anything like that unless under the advice of a GP. I moved in September and changed my GP and I'm so glad I did. She is absolutely amazing. So definitely change if you don't like yours!

Sorry @TruthUnwinding baby dust for next month ✨️

FlyHighSky72 · 07/05/2025 08:51

Thanks @Muddysocks1and @TruthUnwindingi might give it a try from tonight!! Worth a shot!!

I’m 7DPO and don’t feel anything yet at all, last cycle I noticed I was peeing way more 7/8dpo but then didn’t get any other symptoms for a couple of days. I just feel like this cycle won’t be the one!

If it helps I had no symptoms the month I fell pregnant with my son. Was convinced I was out until AF didn’t show

I’ve also just booked my first acupuncture session! I know it’s a bit controversial, but I believe the fertility acupuncturists do a lot more than just the needles, can help work out which other investigations to do and lifestyle/diet/supplement advice etc. Seems people have had success with lining issues with acupuncture 🤞🏻

Weirdly I had my first ever acupuncture session yesterday and I really enjoyed it! At the very least it will just make us more relaxed, which in itself is conducive to pregnancy. She explained to me that it really helps to encourage blood flow around the body which is important in conception and pregnancy. It can also encourage blood flow in the reproductive system.

Let us know how it goes!

@SureLook@Muddysocks1obviously i can’t find it now - https://www.acog.org/clinical/clinical-guidance/committee-opinion/articles/2018/07/low-dose-aspirin-use-during-pregnancy but it was stuff like this which was saying that from 12 weeks it’s good to reduce the risk of preeclampsia but not so proved before then! Hmmm tempted to take it though - I’m 2 dpo do we think it’d be ‘worth it’ this cycle?

Oh yes, I’ve read you can take it for either reason, sometimes preconception/early pregnancy, and then for different reasons later. I do feel slightly iffy just taking it off my own back, BUT the GP seems to have no understanding of fertility stuff and I’m not sure it would even be helpful discussing with them. I am swapping GP for this reason so might brave it! My understanding though was it can’t do any harm. That said - you shouldn’t take aspirin alongside vitamin E, which I was taking but swapped out!

I've been using baby aspirin every other day since 3DPO. I tried it once a day in December and I swear it made me really dizzy.

I've also used preseed but not with the applicator. The applicator thing seems so unsexy!

I'm 12 DPO and just took a negative FRER. I'm assuming that's me out! I'm on cyclogest progesterone so it makes me feel super pregnant. I'm gonna take another pregnancy test on 14 DPO and then stop taking it, but it does seem I've not 'caught' this month. Oh well!

First experience going sick at 2am this morning, flight is in 3 hours so will be on the phone to the dr when I get home 🤞🏼

@Muddysocks1 impossible to know which worked, if either, so just keep going! Try not to symptom spot and compare to last month, let's be positive!

@FlyHighSky72 interesting about the conflicting reports about baby aspirin. I don't know much about it myself!

@ttcjourney20001 a trip to the GP is definitely in order I think!

FlyHighSky72 · 07/05/2025 07:31

I might be wrong @Muddysocks1ill see if I can find what I was reading!

I’ve read really conflicting things about baby aspirin until 12 weeks @Muddysocks1- I bought some and was going to take it and then read a load of stuff about it stopping implantation which confused me! Might try it next cycle if this one ‘passes me by’

Ooh, I thought it aided implantation!! I have really light periods though and suspect thin lining is an issue which it’s recommended for (I think!)

@BGxxxI am as only CD6 so not due to ovulate until next week. Think I’ll be one of the last on this thread for this month.

@ttcjourney20001this sounds awful. Hoping the doctors can give you something to help

@FlyHighSky72 whenever we do get our BFPs will it be cause of all the extra things we're doing or will it just be cause that was just our month. Hard to know!

This is so true!

however I started baby aspirin and using pre-seed and then got my first bfp after 12 cycles so I really do think they did something! I just don’t know which so ill keep doing both 🙈

@Nyxxie that's a big part of it for me, feeling like I have no control. Which ultimately I don't! But if buying expensive lube makes me feel better then I'll take it 😂
