Vasectomy reversal success??

Does anyone have experience of this? Hubby has just had it done and we are nervously awaiting the outcome!

I have a friend whose DH had his reversed after about 8 years. Wasn't given a very good chance of it working (can't remember what the odds were)......however she is now pregnant and due Christmas time. The reversal was late last year so all v. quick.

Lots of luck to anyone in this situation.
Hope this story will give you hope that it can be done.

I'm so sorry to hear your news KatieDD

Can't imagine it's easy for you giving up the thought of having another child after months of getting your hopes up.

How do you feel about your DH going back to uni ?

I'm sure I will regret it every day but DH really isn't happy and he wants to go back to Uni, what can I say, no I need you to support a child you don't want am very sad.

We've been enjoying the sunshine too, went to the seaside on Sat and saw a gypsy fortune teller who told me basically I wasn't having anymore kids so enjoy what you have
I've been on a real downer ever since and keep looking at things that need doing around the house that would be better use of our money
I think I'm giving up girls, too many reasons not to have a baby and I'm basically the only one who wants it.
I'll wish you all the luck in the world and will keep an eye out for your announcements

hi all, yes this weather is brilliant. Have spent the day by the river eating ice cream and just enjoying DH being off. It has worked out really well that the time he has had off has been really sunny. Loving it and don't want him to go back to work lol

Hi girls - I have been at the caravan for the weekend with the kids - they have been in the outdoor pool all weekend and we went to a carnival on Sat. Took the puppy too and got stopped by everyone - they all fell in love with her! This weather is really fab - some more please!!
I will be having a quiet week this week as kids are with their dad today and tomorrow and away with my mam from Thurs til Sun - peace and quiet at last! reckon I deserve it though cos I had the 4 of them pretty much all of last week - and just about every other households kids in my back garden!

pink, yes went to the beach yesterday and to a lovely little welsh village close to where we live on Thursday. Today we bought DD a swimming pool so we've all been in there this afternoon lol

Am loving this weather !!!

DH seems much better now. We've attempted things around 5 times now and things are returning back to normal IYSWIM

Think I missed my ov days for this month cos I've started to get my usual symptoms post ov..( sore boobs, etc..) but not to worry. Will try and catch them next month x

Hi Katie (and everyone else!) - Im not getting too much shagging done this cycle - constantly knackered for some reason. Have had some pretty well timed attempts though! Seems like todays ov day - so better have an early night!

she's settled in fine and the two of them are constantly chasing and playing with each other which is great because they wear each other out. Sorry to hear about your Springers sprain ( rest her ??? good luck with that lol ).

I am trying to look after DH but boredom has kicked in with him and he's currently painting the dog kennel in the back garden lol My DH is hyperactive so he's done well to take it easy for this long

linz - hope you are spoiling your dh then if he's suffering - Im sure its all gonna be ok.
The puppy is insane! Shes 100 miles an hour every where and will eat anything she can get to! We have her crate trained now though - just at night and if I go out during the day - minimises destruction! Shes lush though, everyone loves her. Shes pretty good with house training , only a few little accidents and completely clean at night from day 1, so really pleased.
We are a bit worried about her one leg though - it looks really deformed - like its broken (wasnt like it when we had her) - took her to the vet who said it was sprained and to rest her (how the hell do I slow down a Spinger!) - we are not convinced!

I know a guy at work who had a vasectomy op about 20yrs or so ago - he had it reversed about 6/7yrs ago and has since had 3 dc!

hiya, terrier DH is not too bad thanks. He's been in loads of pain so thought we'd better get it checked out. He went to the hospital this morning for the scan and he's got a heamatoma ( not sure how its spelt ! ). basically a blood clot thats formed in his testicle which is why he had the lump. Nothing can be done for it so just a waiting game but he said it won't affect the op in any way and everything looks great where that's concerned.

Bit worried about DHs sperm if yours was back to normal straight away. Mind you he has technically got another 4 days before we were meant to try anything so fingers crossed it will start coming through soon. Can't bare to think he's gone through all this for absolutely nothing !

Anyway, on a more positive note, hows the puupy terrier ??

linz- my dh's sperm looked exactly the same straight after as before. Hows your dh feeling now? Are you giving him plenty of tlc?
Yes I think we are on the same cycle - theres not been much action so far - my fault really - bloody exhausted - must make more of an effort!

Wheres everyone else?? Hope you are all well x

thanks terrier, it was so strange yesterday as it stopped within an hour and am fine again now. Are you on the same cycle as me now with your fertile days beginning yesterday ? If so, hope you're making the most of it. DH is in no fit state still so have left him alone for now but he says he might try again tonight and see what happens lol
Really don't want to be too graphic but you're the only ones I can ask about this. Did your DH's sperm look back to normal straight away after the op eg. white & lumpy etc.. as DH is really watery and fluid like with very little else in it ? I am assuming it is because he is still healing and it's taking it's time to come through but would be really interested to hear if it's normal or not !!

linz- I have no idea what your spotting is about - but just wanted to let you know that its been the same for me too, not the spotting , but just that everything has gone haywire since ttc! Cycles are all over the place, loads of pg symptoms etc etc! welcome to the rollacoaster! x

ok, what the hell is going on ?? Just been to the loo and to my complete suprise I'm spotting !! According to fertility friend I'm meant to be on a fertile day today so now I'm mega confused and highly pissed off. Never bleed in between periods normally so can't believe my bad luck !!
