Vasectomy reversal success??

Any one got any updates? What clinic did you use?

How long since your husband's vasectomy was the reversal? What stage are you at? Good luck!!!

Hi there. I hope it worked out well for you. Could you update us? DH got it done too recently. Now we are waiting for it to work. Fingers crossed. A success story would be nie to hear.

Luckily no. I just took folic acid and my hubby took vitamin c and zinc supplements as I read this was good for sperm production. When he had his tests done after the reversal they said we may need help as his count wasn’t so high (15 million) but it only took one and I believe the vitamins helped. Good luck 🤞

It was 12 years from him having it done to having it reversed x

We were very lucky I fell pregnant around 7 months after the reversal even though we didn’t get great results after my hubbys test. I gave birth 2 weeks ago to a beautiful baby boy x

My partner has just had his reversal and we are all good to start trying... Fingers crossed :-) How long did it take you guys?

We are going through the same Smileyhappy. My OH had the VR 2 1/2 weeks ago so almost the same time.

Just playing the waiting game now. We were given a success rate of 60% from our doctor mainly due to my age (still in my 20's). We will see though. There are so many factors involoved and it has been over 10 years since my husband had the vasectomy. 60% does sound a bit optimistic to me, but I am sure the Doctor know a lot more than me LOL

Gosh, what an old thread -- I remember lurking when DH had VR, in Aug 09. Pleased to say it worked & I'm 6 months pregnant.

From what I recall of my research and huge amount of googling, the less time between V and VR the better and check the statistics of the surgeon you're booked in with, it seems the experience of the surgeon makes a lot of difference to the outcome.

Would love some advice pleeeeassse My partner is going in for VR end of the month he had the V done 2 1/2 years ago. I have not been on the pill or taking any other medication apart from multivitamins. What are my chances of getting pregnant do you think??

pretty sure no one comes on here anymore but for anyone googling! We had IVF with ICSI due to husbands sperm having 100% antisperm antibodies after vasectomy reversal and am now 15 weeks pregnant - fingers crossed everything will be ok. Sorrento if you are out there let me know how you are doing - and good luck to everyone else dealing with trying to conceive after VR.

Not been on here for a while - just wanted to update you - following IUI using donor sperm in October we are now 6 weeks pregnant! Ok so it wasn't how we envisaged it to be but we got there in the end. dh is over the moon! Chances are fairly high that it could be multiples as had 3 mature follicles at time of insemination - will find out next week!

My dh had a vasectomy 3 years ago. I didn't want him to have it done but he was so freaked out by my pg with DS4 and DS4's time in NICU that he ran to the doc and arranged to have it done. DS4 was 6 months when he had the op.

I asked him the night before if he was sure and he said yes. Now 3 years later he is expressing regrets . I still haven't really got used to the idea that we won't have anymore as we both wanted a large family.

I did mention considering a reversal but he went white at the thought.

Just a little update from me, we're execting
We had ICSI and it was quite stressful but absolutely the right decision. Had 2 eggs transferred so just waiting to see how many hatched.
