Morning everybody, looking for support/company in my TTC journey!
Bit of back ground info I'm 39 on Saturday so well aware time isn't on my side. I have 3 Children (19,12 and 6) and have had multiple miscarriages between those 3, last year I had 2 mc and a mmc at 12 weeks which resulted in a major hemorrhage and emergency surgery! We have been TTC actively since but feel very lonely in this journey 😢 Hubby is fantastic and very supportive but I feel speaking with people going through the same will help to feel less alone and less guilty that my body is failing me xx

That's really good, well hopefully they don't find any issues but if they do, they can resolve then easily enough. @Fluffy38

Sorry for your losses @Fluffy38 That's great you are getting all the tests, mot too long to wait now.
What is the camera you are getting?

It's to check my uterus, tubes, follicles ect, I could have alot of scar tissue in my uterus from having to have 3 emergency D&Cs over the years (2 retained placenta 1 MMC) so they want to check everything is as it should be xx

Hi ladies 🙂! Can I join you all please?
I am 37, ttc #3. Been trying since Oct 2022. I fell pregnant twice quite quickly when we started. Both pregnancies ended in mmc. The last mmc was in August 2023 and I haven't had any joy since.
I have had all of the tests and dh had sperm analysis done, everything came back great so it is very much unexplained (and frustrating!). I had an hsg this cycle, but also got covid so I had a bit of a strange cycle with a short period and lack of cm.
Anyways, got a bfn this morning so waiting for my period to arrive so that I can start a new cycle.

How is everyone else getting on this month? Where are you all in your cycles?

Welcome @sunf10wer of course your welcome to join us. I had 3 consecutive mcs last year one of which was a mmc resulting in a major hemorrhage!! We have been ttc since with no luck. I'm having all the fertility blood work done next week and a camera on the 17th July. Currently 7dpo so can start testing on Thursday i think xx

Ha ha snap! He’s the Ying to my Yang and so calm 😂 he keeps me much calmer than I would be if I didn’t have him! 🥰 x

We don't admit that tho! We are strong independent women lol 😆. I have to admit it's refreshing having an older man, all my friends have issues with their partners going out all the time or being unfaithful and I honestly don't have to worry about that! He's happiest at home infront of the telly haha 😄 xx

Hey! What camera is that then @Fluffy38? Is it that Hycosy thingy ma bob? 😂😂 exciting!
Oh really! He probably feels under pressure to perform more than likely!! 🥴 It doesn’t ever put my hubby off and he’s 59!! He’s super healthy though and eats really well, hasn’t drank alcohol for about 15 years. It makes a massive difference I should imagine! Fingers crossed for you this month though!

@sjbsorry to hear what you’ve been through my love. Glad you have met your one and good luck to you for #4! Me and @Fluffy38have older ones too. Mine are 20, 13 and almost 3! X

Hubby is 54, doesn't drink has a very active job but we are both under alot of stress at the mo so that doesn't help. The Camera is to check my tubes, follicles and uterus ect quite nervous about it to be fair. @sjb I have a 19, 12 and 6yr old xx

I'm 39 with 3 children (18, 14 and 5). Escaped a 20+ year abusive relationship/marriage 2 years ago and am now TTC #4 with my partner. This will be his first and I'm genuinely excited for the future as I know he's going to be a great dad. He's absolutely amazing with my 3 and for the first time I know I'll have genuine support throughout pregnancy and beyond. Good luck to you all ❤️

Hey @Fluffy38 how are you love? I avoided DH this month. Wasn’t feeling it. Back on it this month now! X

Good afternoon! Currently in the tww. Don't have alot of faith that it's worked for us this month tho. I have my bloods being done on the 10th and I got the appointment through for the camera which will be the 17th July. We managed to dtd twice durring the fertile days went for opportunity 3 and 4 but DH wasn't 100% and let's just say it was a flop! (bloody fully functional now tho 😳) xx

Awww 5 kids, I have 3 already but I'm from a big family and so is my hubby so we wanted a big family too. Are you tracking your cycles? Do you use ovulation tests or anything like that? Xx

Thank you.

I actually scared the shit out of myself a couple of months ago taking one of those perimenopause POS tests, and got a clear positive! You’re meant to do it during your period to see if you have LH present at the “wrong time” of your cycle. I cried. Then I googled it and found out you shouldn’t rely on them at all, but I’ve been dreading perimenopause for a few years! I’ve just “felt” different. But my OH and I haven’t been in a position to TTC until this year.

You can still concieve durring perimenopause although it is alot harder and will mean alot more intervention and tests ect. I think over the counter tests are just there to make us all crazy, pregnancy tests with the evap lines and the squinting lol, now you can get all sorts of urine test strips which I think will cause alot of people to miss diagnose themselves especially when the instructions aren't always very clear xx

Wow! That sounds amazing! And this was all on the NHS?! What supplements did they say no to taking? I’m only taking Omega 3, Vitamin D3 spray and Methylfolate which is the purer form of folic acid x

I was taking the conception plus tablets which are targeted at women over 35, Vit D is a good one to have iv got some on order now along with zinc. This is all being done on the NHS my GP is fantastic and it was down to him as he sent the referral after my MMC in Sept, the consultant I see today was shocked that no one had offered investigations into my issues before considering my history so I'm glad I did have the app today. Xx

Good morning, of course you are welcome to join! Welcome.to the crazy train lol. I was using clear blue digital ov tests and found out you have to use a new set every cycle!! I haven't used it this cycle so far gonna wing it. My cycles are still regular mostly 27-28 days but the volume of blood is far less then it was a few years ago. I think this is normal progression into your perimenopause, I read that your cycles shorten to 23 days!! Xx

Thank you.

@Fluffy38that’s hilarious you take your ring off. Mine are always off 🥴 mainly because when I wash my hands sometimes the soap doesn’t all come off and it gets sore, and they get tight in this weather too! I’ve been wearing them since I was 23 and obviously 40 now! 😜😂 Your ring is stunning though!
Good luck for today and let me know what they say! Xx

Well the appointment went well, they are happy with my cycle length and volume so no concerns there. They aren't concerned about DNA compatability as iv been able to fall preganant, she feels its likely a clotting disorder. Iv been booked in for 19 different tests on my blood! And I have to have a camera up to check my uterus and tubes, check for cysts and follicle issues. They have said no to taking the supplements as they can actually cause more harm then good! So high dose Folic acid for me. They have also done me a prescription for cyclgest (progesterone) clexane injections and aspirin that I have to take as soon as I get a positive test xx
