TTC #4 at 39!

Fluffy38 · 13/03/2025 09:35

Morning everybody, looking for support/company in my TTC journey!
Bit of back ground info I'm 39 on Saturday so well aware time isn't on my side. I have 3 Children (19,12 and 6) and have had multiple miscarriages between those 3, last year I had 2 mc and a mmc at 12 weeks which resulted in a major hemorrhage and emergency surgery! We have been TTC actively since but feel very lonely in this journey 😢 Hubby is fantastic and very supportive but I feel speaking with people going through the same will help to feel less alone and less guilty that my body is failing me xx

Looking forward to seeing your updates with the pregnancy! 😘 xx

Hey! I’m not surprised you are living on edge. I’m sure everything will be ok you know. Just try and look after yourself. Face masks, early bed, chill times.
Yeah I’m just going to get lost in life and see what happens! I’m CD 15 today. Started yoga and doing more reading! Are you reading any books at the moment? Xx

Defo trying to make more time for me, I'm currently reading a touch of chaos, it's a smutty Greek gods vs humans live triangle lol. Defo live for you for a while and fi gers crossed things will fall into place.

Aawww poor you, nausea is the worse thing! We DTD over the last few days when I was ovulating. Just don’t know what to do, carry on or leave it. Suppose what will be will be. I’ve stopped drinking alcohol and giving myself the best chance now. We are going to Lanzarote which I’ve never visited, so looking forward to it! Look forward to hearing what your next scan brings! Xxx

Why not unofficial keep trying, no OPKs just let your body be your guide, less stress less pressure it clearly worked for us! I think it's the way to go lol. Iv never been there myself, the only foreign holiday iv had was to tenerife 19yrs ago 😆. I'm really nervous for the next scan I want to be excited and with all the sysmtoms I have it should be OK but I guess with past experiences I'm gonna air in the side of caution. What CD are you on? Xx

Aawwwww that’s amazing news @Fluffy38i hope the progesterone isn’t making you feel too rough. My natural progesterone when pregnant makes me feel bad enough so can’t imagine what you are having to go through!! 🥴
Thanks love. It’s so painful loosing someone you love. I’m going to leave it for now and try at the end of the year! Need to grieve and have a holiday in October etc that I booked yesterday! Look forward to hearing how your next scan goes and hoping you get to hear the heartbeat!! 💗 xx

The nausea is constant all day and bloating, sore boobs too but its all worth it 👌. I'm so happy that you have decided to keep going and I think a break is defo a good idea. Where are you off to? Somewhere hot with lots of cocktails I hope!! Xx

Hey! So sorry I’ve not been back to post, I lost my wonderful Nan last week so have been grieving her loss.

How is everything @Fluffy38did you have your scan? Xx

Edited

Hi @BabyBorn I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. I can imagine how you must be feeling, I lost my nan to lung cancer almost 10yrs ago very suddenly. I had my viability scan on monday and it went well they see the gestional sac and yolk sac and the start of a fetal pole, we are back on 1st on July when we will hopefully be able to see a heartbeat! The progesterone is working well I think altho it has made early symtoms more heightened!. The Daily injections are OK they don't hurt but my poor stomach looks so bruised 😫. How are you feeling regarding trying are you still going for it? I really want you to have a positive test soon, especially after losing your nan I think it would be wonderful and I'm sure she will be up there making sure it happens!! Xx

Just saw your updates, congratulations! Exciting news. I hope your viability scan is full of positivity.

Thank you 😊, I was so shocked to get the positive, we were due fertility tests today and July but don't need those right now. I think hubby and I were almost at the point of giving up because the emotional drain it causes and I guess what they say is true when you don't focus on it it will happen xx

Hey Ladies, how's everyone getting on?, hope you are all well Xx. Thought I'd post a lil update, been on the blood thinning injections and cyclogest for a week now and so far so good. Symtoms are starting to ramp up! I'm booked for a viability scan on Monday. Don't expect to see much but as long as its positive I can go with that. XX

Exciting!! EPU will scan you then will they? Don’t do it too early as won’t be able to see anything and will cause more worry! I’m due on in 5/6 days. I am deffo out though as have not DTD since cycle before!! Xx

EPU will get me in for a viability scan around 6weeks will most likely be an internal one to check its where it should be. Today I'm alot more positive I did a digital and seeing it in text makes it feel more real. Iv picked up all my meds and will be starting them at 7pm. Having a month off might just be what you need like a reset. I honestly didn't think we would catch this month because I wasn't as on it as normal and with the tests coming up I wasn't to worried. I think that was the reason it worked because I wasn't fixated on it xx

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all having a great day! So I'm currently 8dpo I had a little light cramping yesterday afternoon, this morning I woke up without feeling tired I felt alive sounds bizarre I know but don't really know how to explain it! I caved in an POAS (premon amazon special lol) and had the faintest line within the time frame but not really any colour fast forward to now and I brought a more expensive early detection test and I had a normal first response left from last month to so also dipped it lol both tests have lines!! I'm shaking, crying (happy tears) I needed to tell someone as hubby isn't home til gone 4! Is it to early to feel a little excited. Also its almost exactly a year (06/06/24) since I got my bfp which ended in mmc. Xx

Congratulations 🎊, what a lovely surprise for you. Enjoy this moment and telling your dh 🙂
