A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

I’m 41 and TTC our second. Had a TFMR end of last year (that baby was a massive surprise, contraception failure) so it’s all tinged with sadness. I’m 6dpo but it’s our first month and my cycles are only just settling down so not expecting much this month. Good luck everyone!

Hope it works out for you. It’s hard not to get excited, like that feeling I have I’m going to be a millionaire every time I buy a lottery ticket! Your odds are better thankfully.

If it doesn’t happen for you, try not to feel downhearted. I’ve heard so many stories of babies being conceived unexpectedly by couples in their 40s. My dc2 was a blessing when I turned 43; my cousin lost a baby when she was a similar age.

If your dp is serious about having a baby… can you arrange to meet up more often?

I have just turned 40 and TTC not in the TWW only CD4. I don’t seem to have an issue getting pregnant 3 times in 9 months but I am struggling to make our babies stick. On average I seem to be getting pregnant every 3 cycles I didn’t last cycle so hoping to catch again soon. I have an appointment to see Tommys recurrent miscarriage clinic in a couple of weeks but I don’t really know what they can say. Sending lots of positive baby dust and vibes to us all xxx

Oh gosh I'm sorry to hear that. Sending love and hoping your baby comes to you soon!

I feel your pain on the dates not matching up. Both my husband and I travel for work so we often miss our window too.

I have one DS, he was conceived relatively easily and quickly at 37. This time around it feels much more like an uphill battle! I've had one miscarriage and a chemical preg in the last 12 months.

I went and had a round of fertility tests done to make sure there wasn't anything wrong, in case we needed to do something different before it was too late. I recommend doing that, if not just for peace of mind.

If it makes you feel any better we have DTD at exactly the right times for the last 6 months since the misc and it hasn't happened for us yet. I do think, it might just take longer at our age - generally. But lots and lots and lots of women get pregnant at 40 so there is no reason to lose hope!

I have ramped up my supplements and started fertility acupuncture... it's all a bit woo woo but I need to feel like I am doing SOMETHING other than just waiting for it to happen.

Hi!

I am not in the 2WW yet but I am also TTC and about to turn 40 :)

Are you TTC for your first?

Yes, - although I've just had a heart-sinking moment as I looked back over my cycles for the past year.

My boyfriend lives and works abroad so I only see him every 4-5 weeks, and for the past six months the dates haven't matched up at all so I knew there was no chance of getting pregnant. In my head I was thinking that this was the first month we'd actually been able to properly try within the window (according to the apps and my Clear Blue stick).

But there were actually around three cycles since this time last year when it could've happened (though this time was definitely a more conscious effort) so now I'm feeling a bit low. Maybe my chances are tiny and I need to see a specialist...?

I really shouldn't hold my breath should I?

Hi! I'm in TWW (although been slightly confused by tracking ovulation this month so not 100% how many dpo 🤦‍♀️)

We already have a daughter who is 5years old.

I'll be 40 next year 🙂

Sending you all loads of positive wishes this month xx
