A few days into my two week wait now, period due around 2nd of March.

Trying not to get too excited as I'll soon be 40 and I know my chances are lower - nevertheless, I found myself downloading a pregnancy tracking app this morning and looking at all the visuals of what the baby would look like at various stages 🙃

Anyone else out there want to wait with me? Crossing fingers and toes for my November baby!!

5DPO and I’ve got sore boobs already. I’m assuming this is a period symptom 😢ffs.

Has just written a long thread then lost it! 🙄🥴

The last message was supposed to include @Writerscompanion but it didn’t tag you for some reason! Congratulations!

@lynzmboh I get you on the nausea. It’s just the worst thing isn’t it! I had it badly with all three of my pregnancies but it went at around 13 weeks. I got through it by snacking a lot!! Instead of having big meals.

keep in touch ladies so we can see how you both get on! Exciting times!

Im in the Canaries now celebrating my 40th for the week. Back on Saturday! My cycle should start this Friday! Hoping it holds off until we get home though! Looking forward to starting a fresh cycle and seeing what happens! X

Thank you!

@lynzmbvery similar for me although I’m only 4+6, I had stronger symptoms at this stage last time and felt ‘different’ which I don’t quite yet this time. I’m tired and boobs a bit achey is all really today, yesterday I got a single wave of nausea and one strong smell. Just telling myself every pregnancy is different. Plus I was horribly ill for weeks last time so I don’t mind if symptoms aren’t as bad or they start a bit later, as long as all is well.

Aawww congratulations ladies! @lynzmb and ! how are you both feeling? I’ve been testing every day for 3 days and BDN here. I’m 12DPO x

Thank you @BabyBorn🥰 feeling fine thanks, a bit tired but no major symptoms. I had pretty debilitating nausea last time from about 7 weeks which I am today so just keeping everything crossed. Although the lack of symptoms is also a worry isn't it 😬
Hope you're ok - when is AF due for you? x

CD 3 here, come on bfps!!

Fullofconfusion · 18/03/2025 22:22

@lynzmb and @Writerscompaniontentative congratulations. Fingers crossed for sticky beans for you both.

I’m currently in the TWW and counting down the days to testing

Congrats @Writerscompanion and @lynzmb keeping everything crossed!

Those of you (if there are any) here, where it’s your first - how do you feel about being an ‘older’ first time mum? I really struggle with the thought of it, I think it’s a me problem mainly.

Thank you! What worries you? Good place to chat about it here 🥰 x

Fayra · 18/03/2025 12:47

@Writerscompanion ans @lynzmb congrats 🥳 proof we can defy age!!

Writerscompanion · 16/03/2025 23:09

@lynzmb that was similar to what happened with my first pregnancy although I didn’t have an extra bleed. What I thought were positive ovulation results were the ovulation tests picking up the pregnancy which I didn’t know they did, very confusing. congrats on your BFP and you’re not far off a private scan if you choose to have one.

lynzmb · 16/03/2025 22:56

Writerscompanion · 16/03/2025 21:32

Posting very cautiously as I can scarcely believe it but I’ve had a BFP today. I’m only a day late. No real symptoms to speak of yet. Taking it a day at a time.

Tentative congratulations! I got a bfp today too, but highly confused as I thought I was 4dpo, but it seems my last period wasn't a period and I'm actually 6+4?
I only tested as had blazing OPKs for over a week. Doesn't feel real! x

CD 31 and no sign of period yet, but no symptoms at all. We’re going out for the day so taking tampons and expecting a disappointment. I remembered to take my vitamins which is an improvement on most
of this week - it is a Vitl subscription for fertility and breastfeeding which has coenzyme Q10 among other things. I’m also taking higher strength folic acid because of my BMI.

@Tofu35it may be you don’t want a newborn in December again but me and my sister are both December babies, birthdays a week apart and we loved it as kids, made such an exciting run up to Xmas.

Haha it's more that the wee guy was born on the 23rd, it's like we have two boxing days that week! The birthday one and then Christmas day 😂 although it took 3 years to get pregnant with him, so maybe I shouldn't be fussy with dates!

I just turned 40 and about to start trying for baby no.2 😍

Fullofconfusion · 15/03/2025 17:13

Finally got a positive on my ovulation test. Currently CD23.

I think the chemical last month may have messed up my cycle slightly as my last cycle was 5 days longer. Wonder if this one will be the same. Hopefully not as it makes the TWW feel even longer

Retrospeaker · 15/03/2025 09:07

Thanks @MrBigsCat I had heard of it but I’m already taking ubiquinol, maca root and a prenatal - they are basically enough to be my breakfast 🤣 so I was a bit reluctant to introduce another one. I was advised the maca root by the GP, but maybe when they run out I’ll try agnus caster.

Tofu35 · 14/03/2025 23:55

Turning 40 in July with a two year old, realising if we want another one we'll need to get a wriggle on, but trying to avoid another December baby so starting TTC next month!

BabyBorn · 14/03/2025 17:34

I know @WriterscompanionTo think my eldest might be a mother herself in the coming years makes it even more scary! I was a mum to her at 19!! Very scary. Obviously wasn’t a planned pregnancy but she is one of the best things that has happened to me.

our middle daughter co slept with us until she was 4 so hoping that won’t happened again with my two year old 😫😆

I worry a bit about such a close age gap if I fall pregnant again. It’s something I’ve never experienced and with the co sleeping and still breastfeeding I don’t know how it will all pan out if another baby came along 🥴

Writerscompanion · 14/03/2025 16:27

@BabyBornthanks! Aw that’s so bittersweet about your eldest. It certainly does fly so trying to soak everything in but also the sleep deprivation is doing a number on my memory so I’m also taking lots of photos and videos.

Yes we co-sleep and she wriggles and wakes up for boob all the time, she’s also not going to bed until very late at the minute. So yes finding a good time is very difficult but we are managing somehow.
