Tips on how to not test before missed period

I tested early on my two pregnancies before and had two successful pregnancies then I had an early miscarriage and a chemical miscarriage last year and I was trying my hardest not to test early because of the heartbreak I experienced from the last two times. I’ve been trying this month and hoping I get a positive next month but I don’t know how I am going to stop myself from testing early, I worry so much after having the miscarriages anyone else finding it hard not to test so early x

Wow 2-3 that must’ve been nice to see ☺️ah I’m sure it was just a bleed from having sex. But maybe mention it at your next gp or hospital app. Do you get offered early scans ? I agree it’s nice to be apart of the November thread xx

In terms of updates, it still feels very much in one day at a time territory. I got a CB 2-3 yesterday, but this morning I was bleeding a bit after sex. It soon turned brown and has now disappeared but needless to say it's made me very nervous.

It's so great that so many of us are on the November thread now! Fingers crossed - and sticky beans - for us all xxx

Wednesday if I can hold out when af is due! It's hubby's birthday too so lots of things to keep me busy hopefully

Yeaaaa
Super faint 9dpo in the morning, then one I can see but I can't catch on camera on the evening. I only have one more test (thanks to a dog food run to the shops) so waiting for that one and making sure it's not chemical!

Omggg! When are you gonna take that one?

Have you had any lines yet? X

@Laria19 @LaTable im 7dpo tomorrow, this morning I had a crampy feeling and I’ve had incredibly sore boobs since ovulation but that’s quite common for me so god knows! I’m off work for a week so i honestly don’t think I’ll be able to keep busy enough to stop myself from testing early😂 I don’t have any in the house so maybe I’ll manage until 8/9dpo lol, really hoping this is the month! Xx

After using one early test I decided that if I was gonna test again I was only gonna use the tests the require more hcg at least I could see a line progression. The second pic is a test from yesterday I know it’s bad quality but there was a very faint line and the other was from today. @LucyLou0527 I am hoping you get a positive result 🤞😊😊

It's so funny how we all ended up in the tww within a week of eachother

Laria19 · 02/03/2025 16:07

@Laria19 huge congratulations! That's a lovely line!

LaTable · 02/03/2025 13:57

Couple hours from bordeaux 🤣
It's not my favourite place. I'm more a fields and forest kinda girl and no people near me haha

@LucyLou0527 you're about 7dpo correct? Are you trying to hold out till af also? (Unlike us lot who all failed to 🙈)

Laria19 · 02/03/2025 13:47

@LucyLou0527 Thank you 😊 I couldn’t believe my eyes when I seen the line, the test said wait five minutes but the mine started showing up around 2 🙈🙈how are you today x

Laria19 · 02/03/2025 13:46

@LaTable Wow France where abouts? I’ve only been to France once. Bordeaux was amazing 🤩 maybe do some research and see how they deal with pregnancies in France, I know Ireland have similar healthcare policies to England.

Ok that’s a positive girls 😭💜my period isn’t due for another day or so. I’m gonna wait a few more days to tell my husband as I didn’t have the best experience with the previous losses x

Massive congratulations xx

LaTable · 02/03/2025 13:25

Such a good idea!

I'm living in france and have literally no idea how it works over here, its going to be one hecknof an adventure 🙈🙈

Laria19 · 02/03/2025 13:16

Ah do your the same you wanna wait to celebrate 🎉 I’m from Ireland so when you have a miscarriage the hospital offer a early scan so it gives you a little relief x

OP posts:
LaTable · 02/03/2025 13:14

Wednesday! But I've had chemicals and mcs ranging from week 6-9 so I dont think I'll relax until I'm in my second trimester this time around 😅

Thank goodness for an early scan! It's such a relief seeing it as opposed to having having to hope all is well. I don't know how they managed years ago 🙈
At least the NHS is doing something right with the epus , unless you're going private?

Laria19 · 02/03/2025 13:09

@LaTable i got just past five weeks before the early miscarriage so I don’t want to celebrate anything to soon yet. I get to have an early 6 week scan so please god I get to make it to that point 🙏When is your period due again x

OP posts:
LaTable · 02/03/2025 12:57

This is so exciting @Laria19!
Totally understand your hesitation though, I'm waiting for my period to not turn up before u admit to anything 🙈🙈
How far did you get with your early loss? If you don't mind me asking

@Orangelover bummer! But at least you had a day of drinking as some sort of semi silver lining. Even though I dont envy your hang over. What's your go to hangover meal?
Get the freezer ready for next month though! 🧪❄️😜😜
