Tips on how to not test before missed period

I tested early on my two pregnancies before and had two successful pregnancies then I had an early miscarriage and a chemical miscarriage last year and I was trying my hardest not to test early because of the heartbreak I experienced from the last two times. I’ve been trying this month and hoping I get a positive next month but I don’t know how I am going to stop myself from testing early, I worry so much after having the miscarriages anyone else finding it hard not to test so early x

Are you girls taking/going to be taking anything other than prenatal vitamins during pregnancy? ( and LucyLou0527's b12 shots)

I've gone down a miscarriage rabbit hole the past few days and now I'm wondering why it is my doctors either here in france or the uk never even suggest anything like progesterone or baby aspirin. Although I feel like baby aspirin would exacerbate my sch's I always seem to get. Gaaahhhh
Got my first app on the 24th at just over 6 weeks. The days are feeling longer and longer and like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop 🙃

I'm so sorry to hear it wasn't good news for you. how utter shite it is, on the same day too. We're here to talk if you just want to blah all your feelings out or talk about anything.
You absolutely didn't deserve to go through this again.

Life can be be cruel sometimes, It shouldn’t be this hard to want to become a mamma again. Let yourself process every emotion and practice self compassion unfortunately we don’t tend to give ourselves as much compassion as we do to others when they are going through a hard time. Plenty of rests and lots of self care, oh and lots of cuddles from your two beautiful children. Always here to chat @curliegirlie 💜

My nipples are bloody killing me today. Thought it was just chest press ache but nope. Also maybe did another cheeky test today and my line is officially as dark as the control and I officially have no more pregnancy tests 🙃 still early days and I'm freaking petrified of jinxing it was a Dr appointment....

Thanks. Today's been pretty shit tbh. All as expected - nothing to be seen on scan (so marked down as pregnancy of unknown location), bloods taken and found my HCG levels to be 60. The only silver lining is that they've not asked me to go in for repeat bloods, just to do a 25miu test in a week.

The last 3 weeks feels surreal, like a wonderful dream that I've woken up from, or that I'm now in a nightmare. I mean, what are the chances of falling pregnant again almost exactly 3 years after the last time? And then to have another miscarriage on the exact same fucking date as the last one. You really can't make it up. And now it feels like that was my last chance. I haven't got another 3 years. Life has a shitty sense of humour.

The wait time is 6-8 weeks but I’m starting some B12 injections next week so could even end up being pregnant by then! Things are looking up xx

@Laria19 believe it or not, just tested positive on for ovulation this evening.

Queue the obsessive symptom spotting and trying to quell the irresistible urge to take early pregnancy tests in around 10 days. 🥳

@EMC2022 I had a chemical miscarriage before and found that my periods came back pretty normal so I assumed that my ovulation would be back to normal as well. I’ve used the clear blue advanced digital tests and got pregnant this cycle l. I have learned that my LH surge dosent last long like it comes abs goes pretty quick, I used tests after my surge and tests were coming back with faint or no lines so I think the clearblue worked really well for me, also testing with a regular ovulation stick in the morning around 10 and then did the clearblue around 2 helped me catch my peak x

Hi Ladies.

I have switched out the uncontrollable pregnancy testing for uncontrollable ovulation testing.

I had a chemical pregnancy last month. I am currently on CD23 and no LH surge yet! Not sure if I am going to have a super long cycle or just skip ovulation altogether!

I’m not feeling hopeful tbh. The bleeding was too heavy, has been going on for 2.5 days now and I think my tests are beginning to lighten (and were never really dark enough in the past week). I’m prepared for the worst but looking forward to closure.

That’s crazy, usually maternity hospitals won’t see you in Ireland untill you are 6 weeks but I had enough of waiting around the stress want not good for me and the bleeding was also stressing me out so I went illness just over 5 weeks pregnant and made sure I got checked .The wait is horrible but I hope you can get a clear answer soon so sorry that you are going through this I’ve been there I completely understand x
