Lol at 'campy'! It was that too!

Temp this morning was 36.62 so back up from yesterday which was 36.42! Woke up feeling sure AF would arrive but now not feeling quite so full of AF symptoms!
Expecting it in next day or two...

It's raining here today and we're meant to be at BBQ this afternoon!

Am v at Carribean! We've not had a holiday this year except for wkend in Ireland as we were expecting to move house but it fell through. We may look at something last minute in September if we can

I don't know what's going on with me!!!! I'm almost beginning to think that I DID ovulate when FF said I did, but then why all the EWCM???? I expected my temps to drop back to pre-O range when I got back from my trip, but they're still pretty high - although they don't seem high enough to suggest pregnancy. The one good thing about it all though would be that I'd now be 10dpo with AF due tomorrow and I've got no spotting!!! Oh, well, I guess we'll see what happens. i bought some Persona sticks today, so maybe they'll give me a clue.

lottie I think I'll wait and see how your spell turns out! no pressure there! Where in the Caribbean are you going? That's great that your GP is so helpful.

And I know how you guys feel about friends and pregnancy. I know this girl - I'm not sure I'd call her my friend, but we've got mutual friends - and she knows my situation and they're just starting TTC. She hasn't even said very much about it and it STILL gets my back up!

Ses I thought you said you felt really 'Campy' after seeing Mama Mia - LOL - like it's super cheesy or something Also, temps taken in the middle of the day don't mean anything - so don't drive yourself crazy with them! (even though we all do it!)

Lastbox ...so, are we going to do this fertility spell? I am really tempted to give it a go

sesqal I loved mama mia, it was such a feel good movie. It makes me want to go on holiday (To Greece. With my girlfriends!)

lottie it would be great if your GP could arrange those initial tests, when will you get an answer? Could you have the tests done more cheaply elsewhere and then start treatment at the Lister?

I know what you mean about your friend who is starting ttc. I am exactly the same with a good friend who intends to start ttc soon and assumes it will happen right away - even planning how her & I will go shopping for her maternity clothes together. Despite her knowing our whole history! It takes every shred of my will power not to lose my temper. Instead I smile sweetly and say: 'just take it a day at a time...' I don't have any words of advise but know exactly how you feel.

The holiday to the cribbean sounds great though!

Just back from seeing Mamma Mia (again!) Felt really crampy throughout but no sign of AF and normally wouldn't be here for a day or two.

BSOL - I'd not thought of fiddling my temps on FF! You're giving me bad thoughts! I actually just took my temp when I got in a few minutes ago and it was even lower. I guess TEW is on her way...

Coins under the stairs!?!!? NOW I'm intrigued

Hello to the famous Seaside! We've heard about you!

seaside72 · 01/08/2008 21:20

Hi all - I am an old temping bud - just popping in to wish you all loads of luck for a bumper crop of BFPs - I hope the pregnancy panda visits very soon - we need some new recruits on the grads thread

lottie - fingers crossed for that spell - it worked for me I am sure (coins are still under the stairs!!!)

BrightSideOfLife · 01/08/2008 13:21

oh - and I want to add, that in no time you will be so used to Fertilityfriend that you will be not only updating it without thinking - but even tampering with your temperatures until your chart looks 'right'

Not that any of us would change our temps. Of course....

BrightSideOfLife · 01/08/2008 13:18

hi izzy

I just wanted to add that while you get used to Fertility friend (Or whatever software you end up using) you can track your temperatures manually on a graph. There are a few free templates you can downlaod & print. Try googling BBT graph?

The other option is to buy a Fertility Thermometer Pack from Boots. It has the digital thermometer that lastbox mentions, as well as a booklet with blank graphs that you can write in. I think it cost about £12.00? Not the cheapest option though - and you end up paying for a little folder with a holder for the thermometer and the booklet. Useful if you remember to use it, but pointless if you forget (like me! )

lastboxoftampons · 01/08/2008 12:38

Hi Izzy - it's best to use a digital basal body thermometer - those measure to the hundreth of a degree and will typically store your temperature, which is particularly useful on the weekend when you don't want to wake up as early as during the week - you just take your temp and don't even look at the thermometer, just go back to sleep!

Is there something specifically that you find confusing about using FF?

izzymattmum28 · 01/08/2008 11:25

Morning all, i started a new cycle 2 days ago, bought a thermometer from chemist, and have now started using fertility friend, but the termo that i got reads temperatures like 36.3 not 36.36 does this matter, would i be better off getting a thermo that reads 2 after decimal, also i find fertility friend a little confusing, i am using there lessons but i guess i am having a thick week.

Morning!

Temp is still hovering in the weird neither pre- nor post- O range today

Lottie Luckily my DH never made it on The Word, it was just his brother. I won't post a link because I wouldn't want someone to unknowingly click on it and be totally disgusted, but if you search The Word and puke on YouTube...

Ooooh, definitely want to know how the Fertility Spell checks out!!!! I think you Ov'd on CD18 also. Weird that they're saying CD19. Did you override? Maybe it's because of the +OPK?

BSOL I'm okay today - I usually take the red eye and go straight to work. If I went home I would go to sleep and that just prolongs the jetlag, plus, if I'm going to be useless for a day, I'd rather it be at work than at home So the first day is always a bit hellish, but by the next day I'm fine. Plus, I couldnt' really wait to wear all of my new clothes to work Good luck for your visit with your friend. I saw my SIL this past week and it was fine, I even forgot she was pregnant most of the time.

Hi Lou!

Morning all!!

lastbox How are you doing - how is the jetlag? I am well - onto a new cycle and now just waiting for the boring bit of the cycle to be over so we can enjoy the...er...productive (I hope!) part

londonlottie YIPPEE - The Fertility Spell!! What exactly are you doing? I am dying to hear more about it. It is the insanely irrational type of thing that appeals to me (Although like you, I would have to hide it from my DH. He barely understands why I would take so many supplements, never mind MAGIC )

Lou hello! Are you using the Temperature Corrector on Fertility Friend? It sounds like TCOYF is rounding your temp up rather than adjusting it. On Fertility Friend you have to adjust your temps manually - you go to the menu on the left hand side and select Data / Temperature Corrector. Your temp should be adjusted to somewhere around 36.79. The standard 'rule' seems to be that you add or subtract 0.1 degree for every half an hour earlier or later that you take it? My maths stinks though - so I always use the tool

Is everyone looking forward to the weekend?

I am spending tomorrow with a pregnant friend (the one who is due a week before I would have been actually!). I am sure it will be fine - I am hoping some of those pregnant hormones can rub off on me

Morning girls. Well, temp up to 36.9 an hour earlier than I normally wake, so TCOYF has adjusted it to 37, but Fertility friend has left it as 36.9, either way I am happy.

lastboxoftampons · 31/07/2008 17:04

Thanks BSOL How are you doing? I see you got AF But onto a new cycle?

BrightSideOfLife · 31/07/2008 15:11

welcome back lastbox!

lastboxoftampons · 31/07/2008 14:41

Hi Lottie! Thanks for the welcome
First off, I'm not convinced those temps are high enough to be post-O. Then there's the negative OPK the day on CD15. And then there was the copious amounts of EWCM. Seriously there was too much to be just 'leftover' estrogen or whatever. Nah, I don't think so. But I'll tell you what - it was AMAZING to not be analyzing every little symptom this past week!

By the way, did you see my post about The Word!?!?!

I'm starting to wane a bit, I need to go get a coffee! So much for my no caffeine rule!

Hello!!!! Wow, look at all the newbies! welcome!

I have no temp to report because I was on a plane this morning! But based on my previous temps, I'm not sure I've even ovulated yet...! Who knows! I'm not sure I care - I had written this month off anyway. Might be fun to just GOF for the sake of it tonight with no pressure

How is everyone?

lou031205 · 31/07/2008 09:55

Ok, I get it now, thanks

Yes, I am using fertility friend. It is very exciting. But I can see that it is a real let down if you see all these high temps and then it suddenly plummets!

Morning all,

Welcome Lou ! Just to reiterate what Lottie said - Fertilityfriend is great, not only for charting your temperatures, but also their online fertility course. It is a series of emails that takes you through each step and explains fertility in quite alot of detail. I found it very useful when I started!

Morning SesQal - hope you are settling into work after your holiday!

lottie hope you are doing well! Have you decided on next steps for any further treatment?
