Squack I have no idea what's going on I'm sorry it's so confusing for you. I can imagine a period being late, but an LP of 17 days is a bit OTT, especially when yours is normally 12...! You're only one day short of the 18 temps over the coverline rule - I'd make an appointment to see your GP.

AF is absolutely horrible today - I feel so groggy and crampy, like I'm hungover. I have a question though - I had three days of spotting before it came on heavily. The first of the three days started off light and then it got progressively heavier, but by the third day I still wasn't needing to change a panty liner pretty much all day. Would you count today as CD1? as today there's no mistaking that it's definitely my period.

fym · 12/05/2008 09:52

I would say you're most likely 17dpo, poss 14 dpo....

Don't forget you could in theory conceive 2-3 days past ov, so even if it is 14 you could in reality be 11....

If it's 17 then it may be that you have some HCG (enough to stop period) but not enough to show on a test....so a chemical pregnancy could extend LP without a proper positive... (sorry just thinking of the possibilities...)

although I have to say my LP varies from 12 to 15 with no discernible reason....

Still nothing to report.

I'm now utterly convinced that despite the monitor and OPK's I must not have surged enough to release the egg.

If I have O'd this month then I think cd25 must be it which will make me 9dpo and explain why I still don't have my period and I tested -ve again this morning, because it would simply be too early.

I caved and did a FR yesterday afternoon and it was negative.

Is there anything that could be wrong, other than pg, that delays a period?

Morning all

what an eventful weekend!

Tink well done - leave us some baby dust

squack why not try an early test (first response or the new (not the old one) clearblue digi). The ebay cheepies aren't as good I'm sure....

Thanks for the well-wishes guys I'm still spotting, but it's gotten progressively heavier - pretty much light period this evening - and temp is sitting on the coverline this morning, so I'm officially out. It kind of sucks but I guess I'm looking forward to CD1.

I'm with your DH squack

minxi · 11/05/2008 14:37

squack after doing this for more than a few cycles now - still don't understand or get it.... the first month which was last nov or dec I had the monitor, it showed 2 peak days... since then only high days and then goes to low... actually had high days for a few more days and up to day 24 it stays at ov on cd19 if I put in 2 more highs to cd26 then ff says I ov on cd26 which I definitely did not... cd19 I had all the symptoms cm and pains etc.. you can get pregnant with just highs though so I don't mind too much... just a bit weird. Although since doing accupuncture temps more regular as before temps were all over the place high low, so who knows what is going on....

Anyway thanks for the advice... hope its good news for you soon!!

Squack · 11/05/2008 12:01

Minxi does your monitor usually go from HIGH to LOW the day after ovulation?

What day do you normally O on?

I think ff might be giving you O on cd17 due to the lack of temps beforehand.

Do you get a PEAK on your monitor?

Hope it is cd17 because your sex is very well timed for that day

confused....

Morning girls to this glorious SUnday... I have a bit of a hangover today so not going to do tooo much !

Squack · 11/05/2008 09:21

Nope Lottie I did an ebay cheep this morning and got nothing. Thought there was a pink line developing but it's an evap, looks too greyish iykwim.

Have some more so will test again tomorrow.

I do have a FR but I'm waiting until I could be 11 dpo (if late O) to use that which would be Wednesday.

If I am pg is it possible that it wouldn't show up on a urine test by now-16dpo?

If nothing turns +ve and I've got no period by the weekend I'll go to the GP and ask for a blood test I think.
But surely something will have changed by then.

Dh is convinced I'm pg btw....nutter

Well I guess she's here I had spotting yesterday and today, but strangely my temp went up this morning. I did have root canal yesterday so I guess it could be that I had a fever this morning? Can't tell if today is going to turn into full flow or not. It's only red when I have a BM other times it's just light pink. If it does that makes my LP only 8 days I hink I'm just so confused and sad about my cycle

Fingers still crossed for you Squack and congrats Tink!

Squack · 10/05/2008 09:30

tests are ebay cheeps.

asda's OB at 12/13dpo, can't remember which, was negative as well. I thought it was a very faint positive but think now it's been an evap line.

In 3 days I may have 18 hight temps, but I doubt it as my temp looks like it's on the way down.

Or in 3 days I'll be 10dpo and may test +ve if I O'd later.

Or in 5 days time at the latest I'll get my period.

Lottie do you think my temps dropping means my period is on it's way?

OP posts:
Squack · 10/05/2008 09:27

I have amended my chart back Lottie and promise not to fiddle with it again

OP posts:
Squack · 10/05/2008 08:51

I lost my digi thermometer as the baby ran off with it on the evening of cd16 and we couldn't find it.
We found it again on cd19 (night) and I temped using it on cd 20.

The Persona always give 2 egg signs (peak) indicating O in the next 12-24 hours. The OPK's were the CB digi ones.

Persona knows my cycle well and it never goes beyond cd32 which I am today. That is only when I O on cd20 though. Hence why i believe i have an LP of 11-12 days.

OP posts:
minxi · 10/05/2008 08:37

Lottie thanks lovely...just feeling a bit frustrated. Have just taken a few of the high readings out and it has interpreted ov as cd19 now....so obviously the monitor has an effect (cd19/20 was severe ov pains so maybe that is right?!)I'm wondering if my temps are more stable due to the accupuncture (and adopting a slightly more healthier lifestyle!) who knows. Still not hoohar temping but warming thermo in mouth for a few seconds before starting! So could be 3 or 10 DPO haven't a clue!
Did have long chat with DH yesterday and we found we are both really quite about all of this expecially when the letter came through about the ivf. Said we would have to make a huge committment effort of making a plan of bd every other day from cd10 to cd26 for the next 3 months before we go the next route. Our bd is a bit erratic (he's away - although can be around more these days, its sometimes tiring making the effort and we're not getting any younger either)
Oops sorry - waffling on

CONGRATS TINK
