Hi all,

Not much happening in my corner at the mo, apart from breaking my thermometer by trying to silence it

herbgarden so sorry to hear about your being upset at your friend's announcement. I really know how you feel - Five of my friends are pregnant at the moment and while I'm really happy for them I still feel In fact three of them are my antenatal friends and our firstborns are only 18 mo! But loads of people have told me it's better to have 2.5-3 years between dcs so am trying to convince myself that it's better in the long run if I have to wait a few more months. So long as it's not too much more than that!

Squack · 01/06/2008 07:38

Herbgarden I still say your chart looks good and you are def norty poas at 10dpo
Lottie will tell you off

It's still early days for both of us (3rd cycle) you'll be announcing your pg soon I'm sure of it

I have removed fruitloop & beaniesteve. I think they have both had a full cycle without posting and fruity has even changed her name since the last time!
They can always add themselves back on can't they?

Hello all....
I've just come in from an evening out when my fourth ante natal friend announced she was pregnant..... and ... - I don't hold back and I cried. She said she was worried about telling me and I apologised for crying - but she was really sweet - luckily it was just the girls - still got it out the way and we all had a lovely evening. Out of 8 in my original group, 5 are now pregnant with no 2 or have just had no 2, one is now divorced with no new partner and one just only wants one. I just had that lurking dread that I may be the "statistic" for secondary infertility (in my most paranoid head)...I'm also the oldest in the group. Oh deary me.

Did a 10miu early advanced pg test tonight and if I squinted hard enough saw a ghostly faint line - but I suspect this is where the line should be if it were going to be. I got vaguely excited about it and then I have af feelings so decided it was just my eyes playing tricks on me......I know a line is a line but really I think with 20/20 vision you'd have trouble locating it.....Will maybe test again with FMU.

Welcome Yarnie - sorry - so me me me, that I forgot my manners for a second (and MissModular)

londonlottie - I carry on drinking at the moment as I decided to carry on regardless - given that my alcohol intake isn't much anyway I decided that the little bit I do have might be a nice change and shouldn't do any harm !! Off on hols a week Thursday during fertile time so looking forward to a few nice cold beers in the sunshine !!.....Don't feel guilty - this TTC lark really can take over your life.

Glad to see a few of you back here again - it was looking a bit lonely on this thread when I checked a few times over the last week or so (and I am guilty of non-posting too !!) ....

Hi Squack. Yarnie is just made up. I'm a knitter so it seemed appropriate. How did you come up with Squack?

Squack · 31/05/2008 16:08

Yarnie you have an unusual name, I'm being very nosy in wanting to know what yarnie is/was/means

Care to enlighten me?

Lottie and Lastbox. I've not monitored CM before, so don't really know whether I get decent EWCM or not. I also wonder whether I would be able to differentiate between it and "leftovers" from BDing . If I have any concerns that I'm not producing EWCM, I'll whip out the Preseed around my fertile time (whenever that is!). I'd be interested to try it without OH being forewarned, to see if he can spot the difference!

Hope your hormones are getting back to normal, Lastbox.

Hi All - Lottie had a bit too much to drink myself last night, so I feel your pain! I had massive amounts of EWCM the month we conceived, so I figure if it can go away I guess it could come back just as easily! When I did have it, it was my third cycle off BCP, so I kind of had big hopes for this cycle as it's the third since MC, but I'm beginning to think the mc played more havoc with my hormones than I originally thought...

Herb - I think you could insert it a bit more discreetly than I did, and it was probably just my fear that it was all going to leak out everywhere - but my DH could definitely tell the difference (or maybe that's just because he knew ahead of time?)

Morning everyone.

I also had a tipple last night, though only a couple of units, so I'm not too worried about it. Lottie I really wouldn't worry about having gone on the lash. All I can think of is the amount of people who have stories of "oops" conceptions after a night out!

Hi Herb. I'll be interested to see how you get on with the Preseed. I'm going to try it out this month. I'm slightly squeamish about it, but if it helps, then...!

Have a nice Saturday, everyone.

Hi all
Sorry I've been very remiss in the posting department...been quite busy out and about with ds (and knackered).. I noticed it was all a bit quiet on here. Anyway at the end of the 2ww and have absolutely no expectation of a bfp....I'm not even that het up about it I just realise that my expectations gradually decrease as the end of the 2ww approaches.

We're off on holiday a week Thursday for the next fertile time and I am hoping that we can relax enough for daily sex - have warned DH. I'm also suffering a lack of EWCM lbot so I too have my pre-seed ready and waiting. I was hoping that I could use it without dh really knowing that we were using it but seems that might not be an option... I'm not sure I'll like the gooey lubey stuff but hey, if it works then its worth a try eh ?!

Am really trying to appreciate ds at the moment...he's nearly 2 and quite a handful but at quite a cute age.

Have had a lot of ovarian twinges in the last week, together with headaches and very tired. Really don't think it's pregnancy symptoms as I have no boob tenderness at all - I think I did last time (but can't really remember tbh).

Anyway will quit the rambling...and will keep you posted. Am trying to resist the temptation to test at all.,,,and will just wait for AF.

Yarnie · 30/05/2008 11:10

lastboxoftampons · 30/05/2008 10:54

lastboxoftampons · 30/05/2008 10:46

Hi Yarnie I've never had to use lube before at all, so this was the first time. Just felt it was really too slippery (I guess we both prefer a little more friction ) Also, I inserted before we started anything and kind of felt like I couldn't move for fear it would all spill out...sorry if that's TMI!

Yarnie · 30/05/2008 09:33

Lastbox Can I ask why you didn't like Preseed? Was it a sensory unpleasantness?! I have a stash of it and was planning on trying it this month. Would be good to be braced for it!

I hope I ovulate at the same time each month like you. I'm sure if everything's regular it makes ttc a bit less stressful.

lastboxoftampons · 30/05/2008 09:10

Morning all! Glad to see this thread moving!

Temp spike this morning so likely ovulated yesterday - getting to be like clockwork, I am! Tried preseed for the first time last night as EWCM has pretty much nearly absent all month Have to say we didn't really like it - hopefully we won't have to use it again! But I think that next month just the thought that I have the preseed might make me relax enough about producing my own EWCM that I might just do it! I really think my stressing about it and rooting around up there every time I go to the bathroom is not doing my poor EWCm any favors! Anyway, let's hope sex on the night of OV wasnt too late!

Thanks lastbox!

I know I should temp at the same time every day, and I did for my first month of charting, but frankly, waking up at 6.40am on the days I am not at work no longer appeals quite so much .

I do temp after 3 hours sleep and before I get out of bed though!

Yarnie · 30/05/2008 08:19

Rooting for your egg, Lottie. Hopefully, it will be compliant!

Missmodular On the recommendation of some MN ladies I got a bbt thermometer from Babymad, an online retailer. The thermometer is not silent but it is very quiet. Babymad are cheap and deliver very quickly.

This is my first month of monitoring my bbt around ovulation. I have no idea when I ovulate other than it should be around CD12. I'll be interested to see when it happens in reality.

Hi ChoChoSan - It's really difficult to tell what's going on in your chart because of the mistimed temp taking. It's not clear if you did ov on CD16 or 17, but you can get cramps for a few days before ovulation - that's perfectly normal. If you are ov'ing today - CD18 - then you should see a temp spike tomorrow, but FF won't confirm ovulation until you have three temperatures that are higher than your previous six. It may take even longer for FF to confirm ovulation for you because your pre-O temps are erratic. It's probalby not what you wanted to hear, but I hope that helps!

ChoChoSan · 29/05/2008 17:42

Any charting experts out there?

Was hoping someone might pass comment on my chart.

I am on Clomid (2nd cycle), and last month I ov'ed on CD18. I think I always ov'ed on this date due to ovulation pain.

My chart has not detected ovulation www.fertilityfriend.com/home/206f53, but I had quite manic ovulation cramps on CD16/17.

Any opinions?
